Ascutney House a residential care home owned and operated by Jennifer Silva, RN. Jennifer also owns and operates the Davis Home in Windsor Vermont and Brookwood Senior Care Home located in North Springfield Vermont, which too is a historic home catering to the needs of older adults. Our Services General Care: In addition to high-quality care, safety and supervision, Ascutney House provides all meals and snacks, laundry and housekeeping services, and medication management. all residents have private or semi-private bedroom areas and share common rooms, such as, living areas, sitting areas, and the dining room. We serve our meals caf� style and our staff eat along with the residents. A registered nurse and licensed practical nurse are available either on-site or via telephone at all times to provide nursing overview and manage the residents� health care needs. Our nurses work closely with all the residents� health care providers. All rooms at Ascutney House are equipped with 24 hour call system with a button to alert staff of emergencies and illness. There is also awake staff for safety and security around the clock. We have an �open door� atmosphere all visitors are welcome to stop by anytime, even enjoy a meal with us. Transportation: Ascutney House provides transportation to and from medical appointments up to four times per month and up to 20 miles one-way. Charges may apply for exceeding the number of trips per month or the number of miles. Pharmacy: Ascutney House has a contract with a pharmacy that specializes in long term care. Medications are delivered monthly. The pharmacy ensures fast and accurate services. Social and recreational activities: A comprehensive program of social and recreational activities is available both on site and off site. Examples of the activities are: Apple picking, monthly themed parities, outings into the community, shopping, cards and music.
