Under the direction of Paul Murray, RN, for the past 17 years, our experienced staff of Responsible Persons provides supervision/supports in activities of daily living but recognize the importance of residents maintaining their independent living skills. Supports are provided in personal hygiene, daily routines and safe medication administration. All direct care support is provided by staff employed by Brookhouse Home and outside agencies are not used for level of care. Sacred Heart Apartments in Lawrence, Massachusetts, consists of three historic brick buildings that have been renovated to provide affordable housing for independent seniors aged 55 and over. This urban senior complex is near shopping, restaurants and several parks, and is close to the commuter rail station and the Merrimack River. Lawrence General Hospital and several other medical facilities are minutes away, and Boston is a 30-minute commute from Lawrence. Seniors can choose from one- and two-bedroom apartments with hardwood floors, high ceilings, Energy Star appliances and central heat and air conditioning. Water and heat are included in the rent, and wheelchair-accessible units are available. Sacred Heart Apartments is a smoke-free, income-restricted community, and pets under 40 pounds are welcome.
