Broward County is part of the Miami metropolitan area, so assisted living prices in the county are likely similar to those in Miami itself. According to the Genworth 2020 Cost of Care Survey, Miami seniors pay an average of $3,500 per month for assisted living. This is relatively affordable compared to the Sunshine State as a whole, with its average cost of $3,700 per month. And compared to the national average of $4,300, assisted living in Miami is about 18% more affordable.
The Cost of Assisted Living in Broward County, FL and Nearby Cities
The Miami area offers the lowest average assisted living cost in South Florida, making Broward County an ideal destination for the region’s budget-conscious seniors. In nearby Port St. Lucie, assisted living costs an average of $4,399 per month, about 25% higher than in Miami. To the west in Naples, monthly costs are even higher at $4,550. While the average cost in Orlando is $200 higher than in Miami, other Central Florida cities have lower assisted living costs.
