Costs in Ventura County come in at approximately $5,845, making it one of the more expensive options for this type of care in California. Even so, the region is affordable compared to the San Francisco area, where assisted living facilities charge $6,100 per month for services, and Salinas, which is the most expensive option in the state at $7,100. Those seeking more economical options may consider Sacramento, where monthly fees are considerably lower at $5,395, or Fresno, where facilities charge approximately $4,750 per month. In the San Diego area, care costs are closer to the national median at $4,525. Assisted living fees are more affordable in the Riverside area at $3,900 per month, and in Merced, rates are the lowest in the state at $3,750.Â
