As weak and frail as I was when I admitted to Edgewood in May 2023, , I found the energy from the staff to be therapeutic. I had a great orientation so I knew what to expect and that relieved some of my anxiety The staff were all on the same page with getting me up and about. Great team work! I pushed myself while enjoying the fun personalities. A day didn’t go by that I didn’t compliment my caregivers. Tracie, Derek & Connor were the Admin I interfaced with & I sincerely expressed my compliments to the staff. . Bedside caregivers get an A+. They were organized, anticipated patient needs ( Dan) and didn’t waste time. The rooms were plenty big with windows. Housekeeping came daily and taught me about Marshallese, while dusting, mopping (Yaqua) and the aids really tried to get me to the dining room or bingo. I enjoyed a real shower & good scrubbing, and had a great haircut in the beauty salon. PT really are the best despite my grumbles. Heather & Joe made therapy fun & challenging with their games and devices; OT/Speech are more than their titles. We spoke about food & swallowing. My only complaint was the spicy gravy on the biscuit, day after day. I used to vote. On what I might get. But the rest of the meals were very good . The atmosphere is happy by design and that made my days easier. Thank you guys.

I wished I would have wised up sooner and took my Mother out of the Maples at Harbor Meadows. I now have my Mother back at her home doing wonderful and she or our whole Family can't sing the praises of Walnut Grove Loud enough. If I would have kept her at the Maples, I don't know if she would have ever discharged.home. Northwest Hospital highly recommended the Maples and told me that was the best Facility in Springdale. Boy they were WRONG about that! Don't always believe the negativity you read on line about Walnut grove just check it out for yourself.

Walnut Grove was dark, and no one greeted us. It appeared nice when you walk in, and it was comfortable price wise.

If I could give minus stars I would.... I have been waiting for several weeks for my parents to be discharged so I could write this review.. They have so here I go. First... The night my parents arrived, parents who may indeed be elderly but perfectly capable of speaking for themselves and making their own decisions, were treated as unresponsive people who could not speak for themselves.... Days following they were not given the care that they should have received following the catastrophic event that had occurred to them at no fault of their own.... They were involved in a horrific car accident that landed them in the hospital and then at this facility for what we thought was a few weeks of rehab. I feel they were made to stay longer than necessary for reasons unknown because even moms orthopedist said that if it were up to him she would be home on two different appt times. The staff was nice enough I guess but if I the daughter had not gone daily to visit I don't think mother or dads bed linens would have been changed at all except for the times that mother was sick on hers... They did not receive their showers like they should have either. They were responsive on multiple times to lose some of their clothing and was responsible for LOSING mothers teeth.... Of course I was told by administration that the staff would go "dumpster diving" till they found them but of course that never happened I am sure. Now I must say that the only reason that I would give Walnut Grove ONE star is because when my daddy was able to be discharged from rehab he was allowed to stay as a guest in the facility because their home is so far away. He was still treated nicely by the staff even tho he was not a paying customer and for that my sisters and I are grateful. So looking back through the miserable 8 weeks since my parents accident the only thing I regret other than the accident itself is that I was the person that signed the paperwork for my parents to be admitted into this facility. If I could go back in time we would NEVER have gone here!!! I know that facilities such as these continually have an issue of being understaffed and sadly it is the residents that suffer for it. I pray that my parents are never put in the position where they have to endure situations like this ever again but if they do I can assure you that this will not be the facility that they go!!!

This is a clean facility, staff is very friendly, but care is not real good. My mother is there and likes her roommate and does not want to move. However she does not get showers like she should and they don't do anymore than they have to, to care for the patients. Most care givers ask patients what they want, and if patients doesn't want a shower, or clean cloths or rehab, they just say OK! and walk away. Rather than working with them to do what is best for the patient. I could go on and on but it would do no good, so I will stop here. They would need twice the staff to care for the patients the way I would like to see them cared for. I go every other day to check on my Mom and get her out, but some of the folks don't have family who can do that and it is very sad. How they would love to just get to set out in the sun on a nice day, if someone just had the time to take them out.

My mother lives in this facility. It is a never ending struggle to get her nails done, a sweater on her and her hair combed. I've had trouble with them putting dirty clothes on her, combing her hair etc. I've told them repeatedly that she needs a sweater in the winter. I might as well be talking to a stone. They probably do better with rehab clients, but my sense is that they don't communicate well with each other, there is not enough supervision of the staff and that it is not very well organized. My mother-in-law is at a different facility and is treated much better. Why don't we move her? She wants to stay there. She's very easy and the aids do treat her well.

A nice newer facility that is both a nursing home and rehab facility. Nice equipment and has other activities for patients such as concerts, church, etc. Staff is friendly, caring and competent. My dad was a patient of the facility last year and they took very good care of him during his long illness.

Only want catatonic patients. Will turn down any patient that they may have to give extra attention to. Discriminates. Generic reason for turning down elderly is "we are unable to meet their needs at this time".
