Loving, caring staff. They remembered our names and our family member's name and circumstances when we saw them in the hallways. Impressive. We were called everytime there was a new situation. They provided excellent care. They managed his transportation to doctor appointments well. The room was clean. Our family member wanted to go to therapy each day. His nurse loved him, and we knew he was in good hands. We appreciated Sherwood so much. It is a wonderful facility.

The Maintenace man was arguing with a resident causing her to begin to jerk from anger. She is there because of heart complications. He ignored the resident aid who asked him to not excite the resident but he ignored her, and continue to raise his voice at the lady.

My mother was in Sherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Nobody cleaned her room. When they came to do her colostomy bag change, they would also change her balloon dressing, all with the same glove. So there was just cross-contamination. And they wouldn't respond to her when she asked them for things. We saw one of her meals, and it was supposed to be turkey on rye, and it was a thin slice of potted meat, and it was supposed to have Swiss on it, but it didn't have any cheese. Her room had a good layout for anybody needing care, but it was always filthy. They would not clean up any of the spills. It looked like a pigsty. The staff were really nice to us, so I'd give them a four, but to my loved one, they weren't very nice, so I'd give them a one.

My mother was recently at this facility. She was taken to the ER this morning in respiratory failure. She had a UTI so bad she was septic. She was severely dehydrated. This was after the nurses told me less than 12 hours before her vitals were good and there wasn’t anything the hospital could do that the rehab wasn’t doing for her. Now because of there inattentive care she is laying in ICU fighting for her life. We went to the rehab to move her personal property and not one person offered to help with a cart or even ask how she was. Please please never put your loved one in this facility!!!!

My mother is in currently in Sherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The staff is very good, very capable, and appear to be very caring and very knowledgeable. It is a beautiful environment. They have all kinds of things, most of which she cannot take part in because she had a stroke, but they have variety of things, like movies, bingo, crafts, music, and a lot of things going on. I will recommend it because it seems like a great place. I think the staff was very good. The facility is very nice.

My grandmother spent the last 2 years of her life at this facility. The staff went above and beyond to take care of her and treated my family like their own family. I can't say enough good things about this group. God bless these caregivers!

Sherwood Nursing Home was a wonderful place. Everything was really nice and convenient. They were very thorough in keeping it clean. They were also helpful and pleasant to work with. She had a feeding tube, so she really didn't participate in activities, but they had a calendar of events. She only had physical therapy there. I wouldn't want her to go anywhere else.

I visited several facilities for my church. The actual hands-on caregivers at this home were the most stable and caring of any place I had to go. I only went about once a month to take communion but when I walked in the door, they remembered my face and told me exactly where the patients I usually visited were and how they were doing tha day. A big difference from other nursing homes I visited -- when a patient wasn't in their room, I could ask at the desk and hunt for 30 minutes or more. I usually had to interrupt personal conversations to get the question in. But at Sherwod, there was a much lower turn over of personnel and they really seemed to care for each patient.
