I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

New management is doing a great job! My mother went for skilled rehabilitation and had wonderful care. Attentive staff, very knowledgeable nurses and the new management is professional and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My elderly grandmother was moved into this facility on a Saturday and we had her out by the following Tuesday, as fast as we could. Imagine the oldest motel you've ever been in and you might get close to this facility. Not only is the facility old and run down the food is equally as bad as was the attentiveness of the staff. Dinner menu, hamburger, grilled cheese and a hot dog. They did admit that they do not have a dietician on staff. As for attentiveness, my grandmother waited 3 hours one night for a nurse to respond and an hour the next all while sitting in her own waste. Another incident that was unbelievable was when her O2 was dropping into the low 70's the LPN came in and noticed the oxygen tube fell off the oxygenator and said "oh, there's the problem." Unbelievable that the equipment and hose was in such poor repair. Old, poor nutrition and poor overall care. Not a good place. I wouldn't take my dog here. We chose this place sight unseen due to the 5 star CMS rating, but please don't be fooled. Stay away!

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

At the moment my wife is at Rogers Health and Rehabilitation Center. I think they are quite good, but it is expensive, and I am looking for a more reasonable place. But I also don't want to jeopardize her progress. I'd rather keep her so she can get the best treatment. I think the staff is very friendly. She is on dialysis and they're handling it quite well. She's being attended. In the first couple of weeks she needed more personal attention and I talked to one of the administrators about cutting her nails or brushing her hair so she'll look a bit more presentable when they take her out to her dialysis. Everything is done and I haven't had any problems. She's never said anything negative about the place. We are not allowed to go in the facility right now because of the virus. She was in a couple of other places and I was not happy with them and that's how she ended up here in Rogers. As far as the cost of Rogers, it's really not much of a difference from the other ones. I like the staff's attitude and the way they are willing to spend time with me to listen to me and will say, "It's OK, let's see what we can do." Like one day I had a question about medication, so I set up a meeting with the nurse. She came out and she had a whole list of medication. I had my list of medication of what she used to take when she was at home, and we matched it up and we came up with what was missing, and she said, "Let me take it up with the doctor, let me take care of it." I take it they are more into being interactive with the customers. The building itself is not new and fancy, it’s an old structure. Some people I talked to in my son's neighborhood they had relatives, moms or dads who were in the facility, so I gathered the facility has been around. Over here at Rogers, the physical therapy doctor is working with her, and as far as I know they have one the best records of turning people back up through therapy. Those are the things I value about it.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom stayed at Rogers Health and Rehabilitation Center after her surgery for two months, and it was a bad place. My experience with them was so bad. I ended up in dispute battle with the insurance company and them because of the way they handled my mom's case. She had 24-hour care, but then I'd go over there and she'd smell because she needed a bath and wasn't getting one. She had a private room but I didn't like the way she was being cared for. I had to demand that they not do her laundry or take her clothes out of the room. Her clothes were lost, and there were other clothes in her closet that didn't belong to her. There was a nurse in charge who harassed me. They had three different ones. There was one woman who did my mom's paperwork who was only there for a week and then they had another one who left, too, then another woman who kept harassing me and put me through the biggest stress of my life. I said I was not going to put up with it anymore, and she literally called me a liar when I gave my report as you have a review every week. I was telling the staff what she put me through, and she turned around and said, "That's not true, I didn't say that." She was trying to force me to sign this paperwork for my mom's long-term care when she's still supposed to be there for rehab. They were supposed to get her up and get her walking and they didn't do that so that's why to this day she still can't walk and stand up. They were supposed to take her to her orthopedic surgeon that had operated on her so he could reevaluate her so she could do weight-bearing and they hadn't done it. That same day I called them out for it, they made an emergency appointment with him, got permission for my mom to do weight-bearing the same day, and the same day that she finally put weight on her legs was the day they kicked her off of her insurance and put her in long term care and said she was not able to be rehabbed. The place itself is really old and it hasn’t been fixed up. The road going to the parking lot has pit holes in them. I don't have any respect for the place.

My loved one stayed here

The staff is very caring and tries very hard to take care of their patients. However, there is a serious lack of protocol/procedure and communication. Consequently, no one ever knows what's going on. The operation is ineffecient and lacks the leadership from management to allow those who actually do the work to do their job correctly. The staff doctor is old and incompetent in my opinion and has to be watched constantly for errors. However, the environment is cheerful and clean. It is well maintained and the food is very good.
