My husband moved to Promenade Health and Rehab. The place was cheerful, friendly, and clean, and overall seemed to be bright. They have more of a related relationship with the patient. They try to get to know them. They try to build a rapport with them so that they feel comfortable about being there. They try to respect them, and I can see that. Some of the staff hug the patients. They laugh with them and make them feel more comfortable about being away from home. They do have regular activities, whether it's holidays or there's always games or movies or even church services on Sunday if needed. So there's enough for people to do if they're interested in doing it. The food is good. The only thing that I would say is sometimes it just takes them a little bit longer to get the meals out. They don't come out at the same time every day, but they get a wide variety. They have seafood, they have shrimp. They have just anything you could think of. They always have a frozen yogurt ice cream thing that's always available for the patient if they want. That part I think was better than some of the other places. The value for money, they're about the same price as everybody else. I think the whole industry's high.

My dad is in rehab at Promenade Health and Rehab. They could improve by being more organized. My mother and I just kept saying the right and left hand did not know what was going on. We have been in the hospital four nights, and they asked my mother to stay over the first night there. She was exhausted. I do notknow if they did not know or was not informed of his needs or what, but it was not a pleasant experience. Promenade have had 81 Covid cases between staff and patients. That spoke a lot to me about cleanliness and organization. Some of the staff were very good and some of them were not. I was more concerned that he was not clean. It is not a good place for our needs. I just would say it was understaffed. I feel like it needed more staff. They had one nurse running two hallways. My dad is in a supposedly two week quarantine, but they would beg us to come down there and sit with him. I thought he was supposed to go to a skilled nursing facility, but it did not feel like that is what he got. It looked beautiful on the outside and very elegant. They had gone out to Walmart and bought plastic drawers and other stuff. There is lack of organization. The meals were not always served on time and sometimes they would put it down and dad was asleep. He would not know that it was lunch time.
