I was here two years ago. I had extensive surgery, so I was there for long-term care. It's beautiful. They made sure that the outside was just as nice as the inside. They just did a total uplift on everything. They redid all the flooring. It's just a very, very nice place to go. The staff cared tremendously about the residents. For example, if your family calls up to see what you've done today, they can tell you exactly what the resident has done. Everybody's hands-on. The food was very good. For example, if you want fried eggs for breakfast instead of scrambled, they'll do their best to give you fried eggs instead of scrambled eggs. They try and do your nutritional needs, but for things that you also like. It's very well kept and very well run. If they're lacking in one area, the staff picks up. They don't just let one person do everything. They help each other when they need it. We had karaoke every other week, we played bingo, we had singers come in, we had weekly church services with two different churches that came in. Once a week, we would go shopping or go to the movies. You get what you pay for and then some out there. They could do more personal geared activities. If you don't feel like going down to bingo or something, they could come up with a one-on-one type of activity.

Some days it was good, some days it was bad. They had some good staff and some that didn't really care. They were pretty clean, but it was an old building. The dining room was nice. My husband had a feeding tube, and he was mostly in his room. He did physical therapy everyday because he was trying to learn to re-walk. The physical therapists were good. Their big problem is the staff. There was a lot of distinction between professionals and the non-professionals; there was resentment. But the rehab is probably a 4.

My grandmother lived in this facility and I was very pleased with the care that she received here. The staff member were always nice and always made sure that my grandmother was pleased as well. She appeared to be very happy and she enjoyed speaking with the staff members on a daily basis. Also, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and being apart of the daily activities that went on. The facility would have concerts, play bingo and have guest speakers. My grandmother favorite was being able to go shopping with her friends at Walmart or whatever type of shopping store they would take them to throughout the week. Next, my grandmother really enjoyed eating every meal, she always said the food was delicious. And there were times I would visit and I would eat supper with her and I can describe the food as delicious as well. The building was always very nice and clean. And there many ways that my grandmother could contact someone if needed. And then the staff members were always walking around to make sure everyone was ok. After all, I was just pleased with this facility.
