The Good Samaritan Society - Hot Springs Village is only a mile and a half away from my house so I can visit my wife easier. I have no complaints at all and the care is great. Right now, she's in long-term care and rehabilitation so she's getting physical therapy to get her walking and they're doing good. Her room is clean and it's a good size. She has a bed, TV, and a lounging chair. It's an excellent facility. She doesn't complain about the food, and she's picky so it must be okay. They also have bingo but usually, when I'm there, my wife is not taking any activities, so I have no idea what else. They have a big room with a big TV though and some kind of card games that they play. The whole facility is nice. It's nicely laid out with the flowers and the lawn and the whole bit. They also have a place for families to meet, but usually, you just go into their room. I think it's great. If there's a problem, they call me. I'm only a mile and a half away, so I can be right over there.

I am the wife of a former nursing home patient. My husband was a patient at The Good Samaritan Society in May 2023. The experience we had was terrible. My husband died very soon after entering the facility from lack of proper care and concern. It is a very old outdated building which didn’t have proper working devices to monitor my husbands vitals. Two staff employees made remarks that were not true & uncalled for. I am very saddened by his overall experience which I believe resulted in his death.

I toured Good Samaritan Society - Hot Springs Village. It's very pleasant, very peaceful and very clean. Everybody's very friendly and the residents that I talked to were very pleased with everything. I liked it there. The staff who gave the tour was very well informed, very, very friendly, and very accommodating. Anything that we needed wanted to look at was shown to us. I haven't sampled the food, but the dining area was very pleasant and very nice and had nice tables to sit at. I talked to other people about the food, they have more than one choice every day. They have daily activities and they also have opportunities to take you places. They make a Walmart run every week and they also bring you to outside concerts. I'd rate them very high, we looked at two other places and this place seems to stand out the most.

I have been to the Good Samaritan Society Hot Springs Village in the past. You can't see any of the rooms, they're closed because of the virus. But in the past, I've seen the independent living side, that's what I was interested in. I've never heard anything negative about the staff. I've had meals there, the food is good, very good, they have a good chef. Anything that I would want, they offer. The ones they don't offer, like your beauty shops and those, you know you have your own payment for those. But the amenities are complete for what you pay, so that's good.

I live in Hot Springs Village, so I am aware of Good Samaritan Society. I have many friends there. They have studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments. The food was very good, and the dining room was very nice. I know that they lock the building, and you probably have to have a card or a password to get in. I think it was fine just the way it is.

The staff at Good Samaritan was very nice and very accommodating. We go over there and play cards with some of the residents and with some of our friends. They let the community use their facility. In our card club, we have a person that lives there, and they can invite guests in. They also have a nursing home; you can either progress or regress to that. They offer entertainment, and they take you on a bus and go shopping and to other events there in the village. The area where we play cards is very nice and very clean. Our friend who is resident there said they’re very contented and totally happy with the facility.
