My grandma was a resident of the Methodist Nursing Home of Fort Smith. It's nice, but some of the nurses there, I had to go off several times when my grandmother was there because they hated to see me. I would go off about anything because I don't believe in people treating old people wrong or talking to them about crazy stuff like that. I know they play bingo and just different little things, and they'll play music for them. The food was alright because it was for the people in nursing homes. I had an incident with the staff, but other than that, the rest of the staff was awesome. They did have some good workers. The price was worth it.

My father had been in rehab at Methodist Nursing Home of Fort Smith before, and he was very happy there and happy with the facility. He came out of rehab. Actually he and my mother are both back in rehab there right now. I have seen it from the outside, and I have talked with people there. Very good. The move-in was very smooth. They're always happy to talk to me if I call to check on them, and they're always saying, "You can call as many times if you need to." As far as them calling me, maybe once a week. It's clean. The food is good. The people that work there are always happy, smiling and cheerful. The facility seems pretty nice. They have an enclosed courtyard at the back for the residents, and they have an outdoor covered patio. It seems pretty nice. As far as rehab, they keep the women separated from the men, and they're both in an individual room. My father is going to be in a nursing home bed, and my mother is going to be in an assisted living room in a dementia unit.

I have had 4 of my family members at Methodist Health and Rehab and I am very disappointed In any family or friend who could say such hateful things about a place that cared so deeply for my mom and my mother n law and my father n law and grandmother. I would of never left my family somewhere I thought they didn't care or take care for them. I love that place and the staff do care deeply for there residents. I can't say thanks enough for making my families life at methodist the best it could be till the end.
very dissatisfied

We chose Methodist for our beloved family member after reading some positive reviews and based on their "5 star" rating, and we have definitely regretted it. We never knew the staff to give her any more than the absolute minimum time or attention. They never seemed to notice when she was ill, and we had to take it upon ourselves to notify them that she had had a change in condition, tell them what we thought was wrong with her, and then on several occasions BEG them to do something, anything to address the issue! Twice the facility had to self-report incidents to the OLTC because they did something serious relating to her care. My advise is this: beware.
