My husband is at Evergreen Living Center at Stagecoach and what I like the most about it is that the residents have their own bathroom within their rooms. They don't have to go down the hall to get cleaned up, and there's a walk-in shower. The rooms are spacious. They are double occupancy (there are no private rooms), but they are nicely appointed, and each resident has their own television. They have a very large day room with a lot of windows, and an enclosed courtyard that they can go to. They have to be accompanied, but they can still go outside if they want to. It's in a beautiful setting. It has a nice wooded setting in the back of it. The building and the grounds are well-maintained. It's not real fancy now, but it's comfortable. It is in a really convenient location for shopping and restaurants in Bryant. It is just probably less than three miles from Walmart, which makes it very convenient for me when I have to get my husband something that they don't provide. They also have a grooming center, a barbershop, and they do your laundry. They accept Medicare and Medicaid, too. For the most part, the staff is friendly. The only negative thing that I've had issues with is there's not enough trained people to work with Alzheimer's.

My dad was at Evergreen Living Center at Stagecoach for rehab and I checked out the nursing home part in the last month because I'm thinking he needs nursing home care. The facility was very nice. For rehab, you get a room by yourself, and for the nursing home room, there are two people. The food was very good, and the place was very, very clean. The staff had excellent communication with the family. It was a very quick process to get your paperwork in and all the paperwork done on time. They were very helpful in doing all the paperwork and making it a quicker process than in some places. That's my very first choice, and I may not be able to get there because a lot of beds are single occupied, and I'm afraid that their beds will get full right now because they only have a couple, before I get my Medicaid kicked in. But it's it's a very, very nice place. They have a hair salon to get your hair cut. I can't say I've seen anything exactly, but supposedly they have a podiatrist and an eye doctor that come in, and these are things you don't get in a nursing home. If you need your hearing checked, they have all these people, these doctors that will come there to the facility, which I've really never seen a lot of before. If someone needs dental care, something about the teeth, they will get a dentist to come out. That was a big plus. The dining area was very nice. It had a lot of tables where you ate with somebody, like three or four people around the table. You did have a choice of what you wanted to drink. When my dad was there in rehab, you go in a line like a little small cafeteria line, and they had a little bit of choice in there.

Stagecoach is beautiful, and when you walk in, there's a waiting/sitting area and a huge nurse's station. The people that work there will come up and say your name, shake your hand, and talk to you, and the people staying there will come up and talk to you also. I thought that my aunt might be going there, but they called and said that her health issue that's going on with her is not suitable for them. I really like them. The administrator I talked to was really nice. He showed us a room with exercise machines, and there's a class for people who like to knit. They had an activity room for people that like to play cards, games, etc., and a bus to go to malls and doctor's appointments. They also have a nurse that comes and picks them up for doctor's appointments, stays there with them until they're done, and brings them back.
