I can't believe the care that my loved ones did not get. The girl in the front was rude, I told them what needed to be done to take care of them, it didn't get done. The nurses were rude especially the man nurse. I brought clothes for them and PJs. Pretty much slept in underwear and in bed all day. Never used Pull-Ups I brought so when they wet they just changed them and the bed. I'll never ever take anybody there again. I was so disappointed.

I put my 83 year old husband on Yuma Nursing Home on Feb. 8th 2021 for a 5 day stay thru Hospice. He was dying of Cancer and had not been sleeping for weeks and needless to say neither was I. When we put him in we put him in we TOLD them that they had to watch him because he would wander at night. Well they didnt watch and he walked out the unlocked front door. The door was supposed to be locked but wasn't. He walked across 24th st behind Albertsons and found a lady to bring him home. When I called the nursing home they didnt even know he was gone. He had been gone for over an hr. When they were confronted about this some of the staff lied and said that they were never told that he had to be watched .We have it in emails that they were told. He was on Med. every 4 hrs. for severe pain. I gave him his meds at 2:00 p.m. and he had NOTHING until he got home around 8:00p.m. I could go on but I think you get the idea. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR LOVEONE TO THIS PLACE.

Yuma Nursing Center is horrible. I would not put my worst enemy in there. My dad had been fighting leukemia for a year and 4 months. My dad is 80 yrs old. Doctors stopped his chemo 2 months before his passing. Hospice was called in. After 3 weeks of hospice (Hospice is awesome) seeing my dad once a week, my dad still walking, talking, all of a sudden he was bed ridden due to the leukemia taking over. My mom was very tired from the 24/7 care for my dad. We put my dad in Yuma Nursing Center, the plan was for 5 days so my mom could get rest then we'd bring him back home. Hospice had my dad transported to yuma nursing center. I followed and my sis rode with them. Besides a very unfriendly staff, of not greeting u, shaking your hand r introducing them self by name and job title, the room was dirty, the bedding stained. No tv, radio, just a hot stuffie room with no tv. After being there a hour and a half some worker finally came in the room. Only to say "I need one of u girls to sign paperwork " . Nothing ever explained how the place operates, no tour offered. There was no way my sis and I was going to leave our dad unattended, not even for a second. We had to look for a nurse when it was time for my dad's meds. No one checked my dad's diaper for 12 hours. We could not get our dad out of the Yuma Nursing Center fast enough. Yuma Nursing Center center is not friendly, not caring, not clean, all around horrible place. I'm begging anyone that is considering this place for a loved one, to please run as fast as u can n the opposite direction from yuma nursing center PLEASE

My father-in-law had to stay at Yuma Nursing Center for 3 months for rehab for a surgery he had, and I couldn’t get him out of there fast enough. It smelled, and my father would not go to the dining room to eat at all; for three months, he stayed in his room, and all we could do was try to keep it in a way that he could be by himself. That was when my mother-in-law got very sick. She was in the hospital, and then she was able to get in that room with him, but she had Alzheimer’s really bad and then she ended up getting pneumonia, went back to the hospital, and then passed away. The care that they give the people -- it was like three wheelchairs with people in it just lined up in the hall all the time, and I didn’t like it.
