My mother has moved into Emerald Springs Senior Living. It's very nice. Her room is just a standard kind of studio room. It's older but taken care of. Nothing special so far. We met some special staff, and then we met some nothing-too-special caretakers. My mom said the food was kind of bland though. They got all kinds of stuff going on over there. They have all kinds of activities for the elders. They have outside areas and a pool for them. This place is loaded; it's got everything. They have happy hour on Thursdays, they have bands come in and play music on Fridays, and they have dancing and stuff like that. The facilities look pretty nice. They're expensive though. They're overpriced.

Emerald Springs Senior Living was a very, very nice and clean place. You walk in and it's just this big and beautiful living room area with beautiful furniture. Then they have a dining room that serves 3 meals a day. They have different accommodations. They have a 1-bedroom, a 2-bedroom, and a studio apartment with a little adjacent room. They had beautiful grounds with lots of places to walk and sit outside. The staff who took me around was very nice, very knowledgeable, and helpful. They had a ballroom where all the different activities were going on. They showed movies, did crafts, and played cards.

My neighbor just moved into Emerald Springs Senior Living. It's in a very quiet, secure neighborhood. The staff is very nice and very caring. He said that the meals are good and they have a central cafeteria there. The rooms are very clean. He's in a one-bedroom apartment and they come to his apartment frequently during the day and see what he needs. It's a two-story facility and they have activities. I saw a pool table and stuff. It's a good value for the money.

I placed a deposit for my stepdad with Emerald Springs Senior Living. A very friendly staff. Very clean. Feels like home. I think he'll be happy there. I saw the memory care section. They answered all my questions, the staff was very professional, very nice, and very friendly. I've heard many good things about it. The room looked nice, it was two rooms that share a bathroom, a wood floor, and a spacious room. There's a courtyard, many places to sit inside, and an activities room.

We were very impressed with Emerald Springs Senior Living. It was very beautiful, very open, and clean. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. We saw two apartments, a one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom and it was just beautiful, too. However, when we asked what their activities were, the answer was none. The residents get together and they have games and do this, but there aren't any social events planned. My husband loves to do a little workout, but they don't have a workout room. They said they come together and stretch, but we realized we're still active right now in our lives to not have more structured activity wherever we should wind up. Other than that, it was gorgeous. The atmosphere was open and elegant. It would be the place I would go to if I'm ready.

I went to Emerald Springs Senior Living. It was extremely nice, but it was on the other side of town. It was awesome, but it just didn't fit our budget. It was extremely clean. They had lots of activities. It was nice and spread out. It wasn't cramped or anything. You didn't have like a cubbyhole being used as your activity center. The staff was extremely helpful. They have independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The person who took me around was very friendly, very helpful, and understanding. They had a little kitchenette, a microwave, and a refrigerator in their unit.

Emerald Springs Senior Living was a very nice facility. They've got lots of activities and lots of staff that can lead those activities. The dining room was very nice. Overall, it's a really nice facility. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave. I don't think they had a regular stove, which is OK because they've got the dining room. It was more like a restaurant. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Dad complained that the dining room is far away from a lot of the rooms though. You have to walk down a lot of hallways and take an elevator to get there. Other than that, the overall appearance and everything is far superior to the other place.

We had been to Emerald Springs Senior Living for a function years ago. So, we had some idea of the facility already. I recently toured it and they had lots of green space between the buildings and around the buildings with lots of floral. Cleanliness was very good. They got a chart of activities that they listed outside for everyone to look at. They have a pool and they were actually having an exercise class upstairs when we were there.

We liked Emerald Springs the best. It seemed new and clean, and it had a nice atmosphere. They do assisted living as well. The staff who toured us around seemed very professional and gave us good information. The studio apartments were nice, but small to me. They had activities posted on the wall, and they had a lot of things going on. What appealed to me was they had partnered with some company for years that's into holistic approach to wellness and health as far as the activities. They're going to set up little meditation areas for exercise, emotional, and spiritual. They're really thinking about what's going to make life nice for people and they're going to keep them engaged. I like that the facility was circular. They had a courtyard in the middle and the people could go enjoy that, but no one from the outside could get in. It had a homey feel, but it's also new, and the carpeting, the paint, and the decor felt up-to-date.

Emerald Springs was a clean, efficient, and nice-looking place. The staff was very friendly, efficient, and answered all our questions. The rooms were a little bit small but it's good enough for my dad, and they're clean and well-kept. It was a very pleasant experience. They offered us to try the food, but we had to go. They have plenty of activities that was all organized. The staff was very helpful, and the building was kept in good shape.

We really liked Emerald Springs. It was very clean, very family oriented, and very welcoming. All the nurses were very nice. I would recommend it. My sister's room was really nice and big, and we got to put her furniture in there. I saw the menu and it was good. It was very clean and well maintained.

Emerald Springs was a nice facility. It was much larger than where my father is. It was very beautiful. The yard and the grounds were very nice. However, the food and the meal service was nowhere as nice compared to where he is. It's much more expensive, but they have more activities, and more places where the residents can get together and do crafts. From an activities standpoint, they're better, but from a meal standpoint, they're nowhere near as good. The staff was nice. I didn't have any problem with them at all. We saw a 1-bedroom and it was OK. The common areas were quite nice. They have a lot of small meeting rooms where they do crafts and puzzles. It was set up quite nicely. It was just way too expensive for our budget and we were not impressed with the food situation at all.

Emerald Springs was very beautiful. You can tell that they've invested a lot into the facility, but my father was a little bit uncomfortable because the facility was so large. Even though they had a lot of residents, he didn't see a lot of them, so he was kind of intimated by the size. They had very nice rooms, staff, and amenities. They're a step above the place where my father is now.

My mother in law was a resident of ES from 2010 to 2017, and they were wonderful to her. She had great meals every day, caring staff took care of her, and it just seemed as if everyone cared about her. I looked at every nursing home and assisted living facility before we chose ES, and it was the only one that allowed the resident to choose when they wanted to eat; they weren’t locked into 8, 12, and 5 for meals like all the others were, and we appreciated that. They could eat anytime from 7 am to 6 pm, because we all know that we get hungry when we get hungry, not on someone else’s schedule. And the food, oh man, we went there for dinner with mom rather than restaurants it was so good. None of the papblum so many places feed our elderly; this was real food and good. Salad was always offered along with soup; they had a menu every day, but you could go off menu if there want something you’d care for, as long as it was something a normal kitchen would have on hand. I tried it and was always impressed with getting a great hamburger, or bacon and eggs on seafood night. We liked that they didn’t park people in the hall in wheelchairs as so many homes do because they can’t monitor them in their rooms and they don’t have enough staff to check on them often. We also compared prices from the many others places we looked at, and EP was highly competitive, and less the a lot of other places with a lot less going for them. We thank all the staff there for the wonderful care our mother had, we couldn’t have asked for better.

Emerald Springs did not have a two-bedroom apartment, which was what my parents wanted. The place was big, clean, and the layout was OK, but it kind of ran around in circles. The staff member who gave me the tour wasn't really knowledgeable, and she was late for our appointment.

I’ve got my father in assisted living at Emerald Springs. It is a beautiful place, and the price is reasonable. They have beautiful apartments, and it is just a beautiful setting. Everyone is very caring. They do a lot of activities for the residents and they are very active. It has got a pleasant smell. It is very classy; it is a beautiful place. The cleanliness and the way the setting is and the building -- it is very beautiful. The apartments are large, they have their own little patios, and it is just great. He was going to go to another place, but then I said, “No, let’s go out here,” and this was our pick. It is very nice. Anytime you needed to ask a question, they will answer everything for you.

The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the whole place during our first visit at Emerald Springs. My sister and I stayed there for about three hours, looked the whole place over, and met the managers, the directors, and the people who were in charge of the memory care facility for my mom. The food is really good, and my dad is impressed that he gets three hot meals a day, all cooked fresh. It is really clean; they clean his room once a week. It is a very friendly place. They have a whole bunch of different activities all through the day, like bingo, poker, and Bible studies. You can be as busy as you want to be or you don’t have to go if you don’t want to. There are a lot of things going on. In fact, on Saturday, they will have belly dancers coming in.

I visited Emerald Springs, and I liked it much better. The room was of nice size, but you have to furnish it, to make it more comfortable for your loved one. The dining room was very nice; I really liked their setup, and what they do for the people there. They have a lot of activities, they have an exercise room, and they take them out on a bus to see the doctor.

I liked the rooms at Emerald Springs, the idea that you had your own apartment, and the restaurant-style eating facility. They had chair exercises, movies, bingo, and water aerobics. The landscape was beautiful, and they had a nice pool, too.

I spoke to the people in admissions, who were very informative, showed us different rooms on different floors, and explained a lot about what they could offer. The rooms were very nice, spacious, and had beautiful views. They have lots of stuff going on, like Bingo, and a van that took them shopping or to doctors' appointments. The dining area was open and very pleasant.

I thought Emerald Spring would have been exactly what we needed, but it was not the one my mother chose. We took a walk through and even ate a good lunch there. We saw a nice one-bedroom for a couple. It was like a retirement community, and I thought it was adequate, but they did not need more space. They did a good job.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. We pride our community for being very bright, with windows all around the entire building to allow the natural light in. We will certainly take a look at any areas that may require additional lighting after dark. With the recent change in weather, we’ve been adjusting our thermostats to accommodate a comfortable atmosphere for our residents and visitors and I apologize if it wasn’t at a comfortable setting during your visit. I hope you will visit us again and have a much better experience. Please feel free to contact me at dludington@seniorlifestyle.com or 928-329-7707 and ask for Deb Ludington.

I am at Emerald Springs. I have a corner downstairs apartment. It is like a studio, but it is a one-bedroom. I think this is probably the best place to be in if you can afford it. They try very hard to have people follow up on the residents with how they feel and how they are doing. If they think there is something they can do to make it better for the residents, they will try to do it. They are always available. I think 90 percent of the food is very good. It has beautiful surroundings, and it makes me feel good.

I've been in Emerald Springs going on three weeks, and everything is going well. Unfortunately, I'm living pretty much without any furniture. It is a large apartment with a little kitchen, living room, separate bedroom, and bathroom I'm very comfortable. They have housekeeping and laundry services. I'm taking care of my own meds at the time. They have cable TV. They have three meals a day, which are all very good. They have a very nice dining room and a salon. The housekeepers, the wait staff, the caretakers, and all the staff have been exemplary and very friendly. The receptionist and the bus driver are very nice and accommodating.

The rooms at Emerald Springs were very nice and very clean. They had several activities that my mother-in-law would have been interested in. I believe they have arts and crafts where she would learn painting. One of the big things we liked about them was that they provide transportation when she has appointments. The dining room was really nice, and the food that was on the table looked very good and appetizing. It was put together very well, and they have well-rounded meals.

My mother moved into Emerald Springs, March 27, 2014. I live out of State and the decision to move Mom was a tough one for both of us. I have been overwhelmingly impressed by the facility, management and staff. Mom is settled and happy in her new home with her two cats. I can return home next week feeling very comfortable about her well being! I have spent an enormous amount of time with Mom as she has been settling in so I have observed the environment in all settings. I can speak confidently about the authenticity of the staff and their commitment to working with residents to ensure a high quality lifestyle. This is a great establishment.

I visited Emerald Spring and I liked it. They looked excellent. The staff that I met was very nice. However, they couldn't take my dad because he had restrictions on his diet as he was a choking hazard and they wouldn't take anyone who was not on a regular diet. For anybody who was a little independent, it was nice because they had individual little studios with rooms that glide on spacious patios. I thought if my dad was a little more functional and he doesn't have a swallowing issue, he would have liked it there. They said they were assisted living but I would say they need to be an independent because you were in your own studio by yourself and they only come by a couple of hours to check on you. I don't think my dad would have done well there.

I have been living in an Emerald Springs apartment and have been extremely well treated by our staff, especially by our Executive Director, our Resident Aides, Housekeepers, Maintenance, Activities, and by our Kitchen staff. I moved here with my husband in 2005. He needed help and was given it by happy, serving Resident Aides. He passed away in 2008. I was in good hands here at Emerald Springs. I was so glad I was here. I was nourished by the love and comfort all gave me. It is great to be living where you are with other residents. We are provided good activities and entertainment. Come join us!

I already moved to Emerald Springs. This is close to my son and grandson who are here in Yuma, so this is where I chose to live. It's alright. It's like any other facility you go to. I have a nice two-bedroom apartment with an apartment-sized kitchen with a stove and a refrigerator. So if I want to cook, I can and if I don't want to, I don't have to. We do have a nice dining room here. We also have entertainment. I have everything I need here. It's not home but you have to make it a home.

For the past four and one half years Emerald Springs has been a practical and learning experiance for us. We left our four bedroom and three bath home for our two bedroom apartment which is attrative and pleasant. The grounds are lovely which enhances the looks of our apartment as they are park like with lovely lawns, bushes, trees annd flowers. This is a good fellowship of residents where one canbe busy if they wish to be . I do the Resident Councils' Monthly Minutes, do the shorthand, typing on the computer and have them read for Managment Staff and all the residents the next morning. I collect the money from all residents who wish to contribute, keep all the records, including all the banking and writing the Christmas checks for the 60 plus employees by early December. Those of us who contribute is for all of our hard working employees. Many times i get the correct telephone numbers for new residents for Emerald Springs telepone book or changes in numbers if nessary. Our Activities Director provides us with a great amount of enterprising projects. I enjoy the exercise each morning, keeps an 88 year old woman's exertion rate high. We have excellent programs, several each month, singing groups in the Jade room and our very popular Wine and Cheese social in the Queens Court withich includes fun singing groups. Have birthday and icecream socials for the birthdays each month, have popcorn ond day a month and have Current Events Each Friday that includes gourmet coffee and donuts. We have a bus that takes us to and from church of our choice on Sunday mornings. Iy takes us Shopping and to the Bank on Tuesdays and Saturdays and to doctors, dentists and other requirements on the other week days. The dining is a perfect area. After all of my time here, it still reminds me of a lavish hotel's fabulous restaurant. Our food is excellent. We have a good selection of foods to choose from. Ther are seven othert selections a person can choose from if the menu for that day doesen't suit him/her. The Dining room has pretty vases of flowers on each individual table and each holiday the entire dining room is decorated for that special occasion. I am pleased to be here as my husband passed away after we were here for four years. I can't explain how good the Managment Staff were to me. Each one of them came individually and expressed their concern for my loss and I recieved a lovely bouquet of flowers from them. We have great residents amd they surely showed their concern too. With all these wonderful things done for me, I have nothing but love for my Emerald Springs Home.

This facility is filthy. The carpets from 1997 are still there and are in desperate need of replacement. The outside pool is dirty with scum on the bottom and sides. It appears there is no cleaning done. The facility had a water leak which damaged one of their main rooms and the hallway over 2 months ago. To date the repair work is not completed. I have seen dead cockroaches on the hallway floor. The outside landscaping is poorly maintained. There are door mats in the landscaping which have been thrown out there and left for over 3 months. The outside patio areas are filthy. The ceilings and fans outside are full of dirt and spiderwebs. Emerald Springs has new ownership effective May 1, 2009 (in fact they have been there for 4 months). Little has been done to improve the cleanliness of this facility.
Provider Response
We are sorry to learn that you had a bad experience. Effective, January 1, 2012 Senior Lifestyle was hired to assume the management of Emerald Springs. We are very proud of the changes to the community since we have been involved in the operations.
