Solana at The Park is a beautiful facility. Everywhere lately, it's been very hard to keep help for very long as far as caregivers and housekeeping through the pandemic and everything. But they're starting to get things leveled out now because we do have new management, and I approve of the management. They're doing a wonderful job and I've taken it upon myself to go out and talk to the residents, and I thought there's something I can do to help. I would just say the management has improved tenfold, and it's a beautiful, caring environment to live in. I was cloistered in my room; I didn't even get to see this room. My kids just picked it out and then slam dunked me in here. They brought some furniture and bought some new. They had done a good job as far as that part, but I hadn't even had a chance or choice of what room I was going to get. My room is only 489 square feet, it's a 1-bedroom but it's very cozy for me and my little cat. They do allow pets, cats, and dogs. There's quite a variety of different rooms, and they take people around touring to pick out where they would like to be. One good thing about my room is I'm right across from the laundry room and I'm very close to the activities room. So that part I also like, and I'm not far from the nurse's station if I have a question. They did a good job as far as the location. I would have liked a little bigger room, but when you move from a 2,000 square foot house into 400 square feet, it's like claustrophobia till you get used to it. They have a bus; they take people to appointments. That's just beginning again because the bus needed to be fixed and they had to hire a driver, but that's starting this week. They have activities. They have meals out and you can sign up for it. They'll take a group of people. They have barbecues and stuff like that when it's Fourth of July and that sort of thing. They have a beauty salon and a library. They have an exercise room, a pool table room, and shuffleboard room. They have quite a few amenities, but that's why I wanted to check other areas out to see if it was comparable to where I'm living right now. The staff has improved a hundred percent. With the food, I told the chef one day if you came out and asked every one of these ladies that cooked for a hundred years for their families for one recipe, you would have a fantastic kitchen. I don't think the food is as good. We have a new activities director; she's going gung-ho now. They have a beautiful bistro for guests when they come in, that has different drinks and things, and a theater. It's very nice, and they have special things. They bring popcorn in every day for a movie. But they did a special meal one night where we got to eat in there and watch the movie; that was fun. They're thinking up new activities and when I think of something, I give it to them too.

Solana at the Park was very nice. I had a really nice tour. The lady that gave the tours was out for an emergency, so a young girl gave me the tour, and she was great. She took me all over and showed me all kinds of stuff. I thought their living room parts were very little to me. It wouldn't be my first choice. It wasn't a good place for my dog.

Solana at the Park was very, very nice. The studio on the second floor would fit my brother to a tee. The staff was wonderful, so helpful, and they knew a lot. The place is gorgeous. I thought the price was pretty high. Their community fee was like $4,000. She did reduce it to about $2,500, and I think that's still high, and it's nonrefundable. Their one-bedroom was beautiful. It was very nice, everything was very clean, and the people were so nice. I was waiting in a chair for the lady to come out that I was having a meeting with, and I noticed the other staff members were very nice to the people that lived there. The dining room was beautiful. All their tables were set up very nice. Their menu was great. If I had the money, I'd put my brother there. There was a gentleman there that teaches them stretching, and they were sitting in their chairs. It was great. They have a pool table, shuffleboard, a puzzle room, and a movie room. It was beautiful. The grounds were beautiful. There's plenty of chairs for people to sit. They had a great big fireplace outside. I have nothing bad to say about it.

We went and looked at Solana at The Park. The community not only looks very welcoming, but it feels very welcoming. Everything was neat and in order, and people were sitting around talking and enjoying each other. The inside is wonderful, too. I went with a friend and the staff took both of us around, and my friend had worked in evaluating senior living places when they lived in Iowa, and she could not find one thing about Solana that wasn't excellent. We looked at the menus and I could not see anything to complain about. Helen is the manager, I believe, and she was the one that took us around on the tour. She showed us the studio, which would probably be perfect for my husband, and then she showed us the one that has one bedroom and that was excellent, too. There was a female at the counter who was absolutely the nicest. She was just a lovely person. She was very sweet, very nice, and very welcoming. The whole experience we have a very good there. The people there seemed to be enjoying themselves. They were doing bead painting or something like that in one room. They had people making diamond paintings. I just thought it was all-around nice. They have a bar area or a party area, and the staff were laughing and having a good time getting things ready for some gathering that they were having. They made comments to us, and we made comments as we went past, so I felt very comfortable with the people there. The place is absolutely beautiful. They have lovely furniture on the entryway. You could sit out there if you want to and just read all day long. Then you go inside and there were more places where people can sit and get acquainted and talk. It was very nice. I was very impressed.

Solana at The Park was very nice, very pretty. It was a little bit more expensive, and their visiting policies are a little bit more strict, which I didn't really like. I want to be able to go see my mom whenever I want to, and not between certain times. They were open to giving me the key to my mom's apartment, and the key to get into the building any time, so I liked that. It has a beautiful staircase going from the second floor to the first floor, and it's gorgeous, but to me that's not practical. If you had a resident that wasn't really up to it, trying to go up or down there, that could be an issue. I never got to see an apartment, the apartment that she could have been in. She showed me the door where there was going to be an opening, which was close to the nurse's station and close to the dining room, which would have been good for my mom, but I never got to actually see that apartment. And it's about five or six hundred dollars more a month. The staff member was very nice. She answered all of our questions, and she followed up with me, so those are good things. It was very clean and modern.

I had a very nice tour of Solana at The Park. They definitely have a lot of amenities; they come across as a resort. It's a very, very nice facility inside and out. Even their property itself is very nicely done. I went to see their assisted living, and the staff was very friendly. The dining room was very nicely done and looked like a restaurant. It's very clean, very well laid out, and very open. It looks like a very expensive resort hotel. It's a larger community, they seemed like they had a lot of activities, and they had everything listed.

This is a 4 year old facility that’s located in the same city I live in now. I spent 5 hrs talking to and really getting to know Gina, the Director of Community Relations before being totally confident that this is going to be my new home for up to 20 yrs or more.

My mother is at this community. She loves it there, they're great. She moved in at the beginning of March and she's very happy there. She loves everyone on the staff. The head cook comes out and sits through each dinner with the residents. She has had no complaints, she loves their food. We ate with her, and everything we have had has been wonderful. My mom is not one to get really involved in activities, but since her apartment is right across from the activity room, she goes over there whenever she wants. The things that she has been involved with, she has enjoyed. Overall, she feels like she is definitely getting her money's worth.

My parents are here. They really worked it out, but that depends on which caregivers are working because some are better than the others. Overall, it's the best one we've ever been to.

I visited this community. The general appearance from the outside was very impressive. I understood that it was not very old. The inside was very nice. There was a theater and a very nice restaurant/dining area. The person who assisted me was very helpful. It was the best out of the six I looked at.

My mother had several communities to choose from, and she chose this community. She seems to be happy there, and I like the staff. She’s happy with what they provide. Transportation to her doctors' appointments seems to be going well. They have a chapel and a library. She’s very happy with the food because of the diversity, and the different types of meals that are served.

My husband has been here since April, and I like it very much. He is very comfortable, and his room is very nice. It’s well kept, and the food is OK. We went back and worked with them, and they moved his room to a location where he has more visits. He likes playing bingo, he has friends there so he is enjoying having meals with some friends, and he really likes his room.

The girl that I was working with, she called in and made an appointment for me. They greeted me at the front and took me on a tour of the rooms that were available. My client is looking for a two-bedroom-two-bath and they didn’t have any available yet. But this community was my favorite one because what we were looking for an independent living that if he stayed there long enough and needs assisted living, they have it onsite and that’s what he wanted. The rooms were very nice, they have plenty of rooms I felt like, and everything was new there, so it was all very nice. She showed me the dining room, the media room, and where the guys play pool. They were pet friendly, which was very important. He has two cats and they don’t charge for that, and so that was important for him too.

It is a very nice place with very nice staff. We just moved in about 10 days ago and like it a lot. We're in a nice room with a living room, a bathroom, and a bedroom. We think the food is pretty good, and the dining room is very nice.

I was very impressed. It was fairly new. The residents that we saw seemed very friendly and welcoming. I was very impressed with Jennifer, the administrator of the facility. She has gone so far as checking with me about once a month. The community was very attractive and was a soothing kind of place to come in and sit down, read a book or magazine. It has a very open atmosphere which I like the most. They also have a lot of activities. It was almost overwhelming of the choices that you could make to go and do.
