I moved my wife into Rock Creek at the Park. The staff is involved. They have three RNs on staff. There's a nice courtyard for activities. There are people there who have empathy for the residents, whereas the other place didn't. It's the first time my wife had a roommate. However, they have community showers. I've tried their food, and it was delicious. The facility is very clean. They monitor the more disabled people pretty regularly. I haven't been there very long, but from what I can see it is pretty nice.

We have been delighted with Rock Creek, its staff, its facilities, and its performance from the moment we first entered its doors. My husband loved his new home, and never tired of telling us how nice everyone there was, and how beautiful the facilities were. He loved the freedom of the outdoor gardens and the comfort of the additional enclosed patio/garden setting where he could sit or walk while watching and listening to the birds enjoying the water fountain and flowers. They have a very inclusive activities program in which there is something for everyone no matter what level of interest they may have. My husband particularly liked bowling! There were special guest performers, appealing holiday events, and regular sing-a-longs.

The rooms are spacious enough for the resident's needs. The staff is very helpful and friendly, with several of them knowing me on a first name basis. They respond quickly when I bring things to their attention while I'm visiting. Mom loves playing bingo as well as the exercise and cooking classes. Activities Director Daveena does a great job, keeping the residents busy and engaged. She also emails a monthly activity calendars to the families so they can see what is going on. The one item that convinced our family to place mom in Rock Creek was the longevity and stability of the senior staff. Executive Director Stephanie, Head Nurse Shane, Daveena, and Business Manager Cindy have all been their many years, though Cindy just retired last month. The staff is very accommodating to our family regarding our visits. The community also provides Skype and Face Time opportunities which is extremely helpful to my brother and me who live in the midwest. The meal offering is quite extensive with a good variety. Mom, who is almost 97 years old, has lived at Rock Creek for approximately 2 1/2 years and our family is extremely happy and thankful for the level of care that Rock Creek provides.

I can’t praise the staff enough, about how welcoming and friendly they are to visitors of the residence. Their philosophy of caring shows, and should be a mentoring example to all facilities. For me, the kindness, patience, and caring is second to none. Keep up the great work, Stephanie, Shane and staff. I wish I could name all the nurses, assistance, caregivers and support staff, but there are too many names to mention. Thank you all for making tough times comforting.

I know two friends at Rock Creek, and their spouses say it's really good with really friendly and helpful staff. I went there to visit my friends, and it's very good. I had a snack, and it was really good. They have two different dining areas. There's one for people that need help more than the other, and the other was for the people that are able to help themselves a little better. They have people in there watching over everybody. The rooms are locked; people that work there have a key and can open any door they went. They have furnished rooms and a beautiful courtyard, so you can look out the windows and see the courtyard and trees. It's really pretty, and you can sit out there. It's also very clean.

It is a very nice facility -- very caring staff, the building is in great shape, and it's all on a single floor. My mom is in a double room, which actually has a shower in the bathroom in the room, and it has a view of the courtyard. It seems to be going very well, so in the two weeks experience, we're very pleased. The staff has been very attentive, very caring, and responsive to all of our questions and my mom's needs, and what they told us would happen is actually what's happening.
