I'm currently at the Grandview Terrace. They seemed very nice. The rooms are beautiful and big. I have a private room. They do rehab in the morning and afternoon. I've only been here for a little while and I do enjoy it. The food is very good too. They get a different meal schedule every day. You could go down there or they can bring it to you, whatever is convenient or perfect for you. The staff was lovely. They give you puzzles, they deliver The Daily Chronicles and movie shows. The facility is beautiful. It's all redone. It's all nice and modern.

I love GVT. It's like living on a cruise ship! Go down the hall to swim, play cards, exercise, take an art class, get a snack, go to dinner and even have your blood drawn. No need to go out in the heat. In fact we have free valet parking!! The staff is great, cheerful and helpful. Food is varied. Not typical "senior" food which is normally fried or covered in gravy. Cooked to order and served professionally in 2 different dining rooms, your choice. Residents come from all walks of life, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Their stories are so interesting. Best of all, is the fact this is a life community. As an only child, I have no worries. Come now if you can, don't wait and miss out on what you get here! GVT offers so much.

The building has over 250 condos which are various sizes. The interiors are very nice, from one to two bedrooms. The appliances are new. My wife loves the kitchen . The dining room and marketplace are both excellennt. l love not having to fix anything any more. Submit a work order and 'they come fix the problem .No yard work . I have time to do whatever I want, go to the gym, or take a class with an instructor, go out with the hiking club, or to the symphony. It was a great decision to move here while we were young enough to take advantage of everything that is offered.

Grandview Terrace was an older community, but it was very nice. It's been around for probably 20 years, but very well kept up. The staff seemed very attentive and very nice. They had rooms where you could play cards and a craft room. This facility wasn't a month-by-month type thing. It was where you buy-in with several hundred thousand dollars.

I toured Grandview Terrace recently. It's a Sun Health community. It's non-profit. It has for active, assisted, and memory care. It had all those features, which was good. What turned me off was that it's one giant big building. It has a ballroom, an auditorium, and a restaurant, but you don't leave that building. It's all one building. The parking is outside with a little awning to keep direct sunlight off your car. So, if it's 115 outside, so is your car. So that was a little turnoff. It's a big apartment building. I didn't try any meal, but I toured the kitchen, I toured the dining room, and I saw what they had. There's nothing more than glorified home cooking. It's very generic. The single biggest highlight is the lady that conducted the tour.

I live in Grandview Terrace Sun City West, AZ. The facility is excellent, it's immaculate, and they're constantly working on upgrading it. If you need anything, they're there very quickly, you just put in a work order and somebody comes in and helps you right away. I have a 2-bedroom 2-bath that's 1560 square feet. The staff members are wonderful people. We have cards, mahjong, and exercise classes, and we do day trips. We just got back from a 2-week cruise to Hawaii that was supported by 18 of us. We paid for it, but they took us on that trip. We go to the theater, we go to symphonies, we have entertainment come in, and there's always something to do. Even during the COVID lock-up, there were always people to help you. The food is wonderful. They give us a weekly menu with eight selections in the main dining room, and there's a special every day. Everything is within one building, so it makes everything easy. It costs a lot of money but it's worth it.

Grand view Terrace was beautiful and well kept, but I did not want to be there because I can't sit in a hotel room all day without a patio. We were on the fourth or fifth floor, and I said, "Oh my gosh, elevators!" (I don't like elevators.) They had memory care that you can go to if you have Alzheimer's. They check you every night with sensors to make sure that you're moving around. If you don't move around, they check on you. We met the marketing girl, and she was wonderful; she was great. We had a meeting with them earlier, and they gave us a boxed lunch. It was great. If you live there, there are two or three restaurants. For breakfast you can go to one place, for lunch another place, and for dinner another place. It was very nice and very clean.

Grandview Terrace is very nice. It seems like they thought of everything somebody might need living in a community like that, and everything is right there on site. The facility was beautiful, and the staff was very helpful. Everything was clean, spacious, and I thought that was very nice. The food was amazing. We went to a brunch, they had a ton of different choices, and everything was delicious. Theres a board where people can choose their clubs and activities that happen on-site, they take people to plays, shows, and a variety of different things in the city. They have a swimming pool, fitness center, salon, massage, arts and crafts, and a small movie theater.

My parents live here and I have to say it is an absolutely lovely facility. Staff is very responsive, there are onsite EMTs 24/7 and they have great programming - there is almost always some form of entertainment either on site or with provided transport. My parent's unit is lovely and they have made many friends here. My only complaint is the food. They went to a new food service company a bit over a year ago and the quality and service has rapidly gone downhill. Food arrives lukewarm and has to be sent back. Orders are consistently wrong - sides don't arrive or the wrong sides arrive. Vegetarian choices lack protein. The other day mom’s order didn’t even arrive while in the dining room as they had forgotten to place it. Once in a while these types of issues could be overlooked, but there seems to be an issue with EVERY meal and I am beginning to worry about food safety issues given the lack of attentiveness overall. My parents are reluctant to eat in the dining room while we were hoping having a dining option on site would make things easier for them. The facility does not seem to be responding to resident complaints as many people are unhappy and have complained but nothing seems to be improving.

Grandview Terrace is a lovely place to live. I have friends who live there, and they're all very happy. However, it is very expensive and you have to buy in. Nevertheless, everybody is very nice, very helpful, and very caring. It is right near where I live. I go to a Bible study there. The rooms are apartment sized. Some are very small, but there's still a living room and a kitchen. I have been there a number of times to eat, and the food is very good. They have trips, transportation to doctors, and Bible study. There is somebody who can help you in their fitness room.

Grandview has been open about a year. It’s top of the line with state of the art facilities and also very expensive. They had ILF, ALF, and memory care, and for us, continuing care would not be logical financially. Independent apartments would be a buy in and are starting to show some age, but they were renovating. There was a very positive attitude by the residents, and they really like living there. The assisted living and the memory care were new; it's very nicely lit hallway with rooms off to the side. They have a dining area that the residents could sit at a table for a formal dinner. There is sort of like an elevated bar, so they could have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a lovely courtyard, and they have a memory stimulation room with TV and interaction.

My mother lived for many years at Grandview Terrace, so I spent many years there everyday with her. They’re first rate; they get very high ratings everywhere from everybody. They’re good about taking care of things. If you need anything done, you phone the desk and they are there. She loved being there. It’s a much bigger place with lots more people. Their food was good; everybody was pleasant. I never once had to go make a complaint. Also, my mother went through all of the stages of life care. My mother was in a lovely 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment. It was on the first floor, so she could easily walk out to get in her car and drive when she was driving. I liked it because I could drive up almost to her door. It’s a 6-story building, and when you get up higher, you have better views than my mother had.

Grand View has large rooms, and the 2-bedroom I looked at was very nice and well maintained. It was an older facility, and they seem to offer more options to settle in. You don’t need to pay upfront to get in. The main dining room was very nice, it looked like hotel dining, and they also have 3 or 4 cafes located throughout the facility. I had lunch in one of the cafes and it was okay.

I went to Grandview Terrace. You have to buy-in, so it was very expensive. The people treated me very well. I have a friend there who just bought a two-bedroom, but it was $275,000 and not everybody has that money, including me. They have exercise rooms, but you only get 10 meals a month. I have eaten there, and the food is very good.

My parents are moving to Grandview Terrace. It’s wonderful, and they really have been working well. They’re renovating all the rooms as people leave. The whole building is going to be renovated in the next five years. They’ve got a new food service which is well known across the country. They have an activity board, you cannot be bored, there’s something going on all the time from lectures, movies, to bus trips, and exercise programs. They have covered parking, but they don’t have a garage for the car.

Everything was wonderful, the food, the apartments, the service but it's just not affordable for us. They have 7 dining rooms, they were all lovely. The staff was very polite, very courteous and very helpful.

At the time they moved in my grandfather and his wife did not need assisted living, but chose Grandview Terrace because they offered assisted living. When we would visit we had to sign in at the front desk and have the guests we were visiting notified before being allowed to go to the elevator and make our way to their place. They had a very nice two bedroom apartment that felt as homey as their previous house. The kitchen was much smaller but they were able to eat most of their meals at the dining room on property with other residents. They had many chances to socialize and get out of their apartment. Last New Year's Eve they organized a dance for the residents and brought in male dance students from a local school to dance with the widows - a very nice touch. The facilities were impeccably clean and the grounds were beautiful. When my grandfather said he was moving into a facility like that I had visions of a depressing place but was pleasantly surprised by how nice Grandview Terrace is, which would make the waiting list they were on for a few years make sense. It must be incredibly popular amongst the elderly in the greater Phoenix area.

When we first arrived at Grandview Terrace I was quite shocked at how beautiful the facility was. The facility is either 5 or 6 stories tall but I was also surprised at how spacious each apartment was for the residents, the apartments were quite a bit bigger than most actual apartments I have ever been in. The amenities were above and beyond what I had seen at any other facility, with nurses to check in as needed but also enough privacy for the residents that it didn't feel as though we were really visiting our relatives in an assisted living setting at all, more like we were visiting them at their home.

I have been in this facility several times now as a visitor. When you first walk in the main entrance, they have very friendly staff there to greet you. As a security precaution to the residents, every person that comes in must sign in and sign out when they leave. I have gone in there because they have a branch of my banking instition inside, and it is closest to where I live. I think that is so nice for the residents who need to do their banking. It's also convenient for me! During Christmas time, I went in and the place was beautifully decorated. After that I went in one morning and I was there too early for the bank and I had to wait. I asked if there was any coffee available, and I was directed to the onsite restaurant. There were senior citizens in there talking and having their breakfast and seeming to enjoy themselves very much. The mail boxes are inside the facility and basically, if the residents want to "get out of the house" without going outdoors, there seems to be plenty of areas to go and socialize within the facility. It is also close to the hospital and medical providers which would be convenient for the residents that have health issues. They do allow small pets which I think is very nice as well. I really enjoy going into Grandview Terrace. I would live there if I was old enough and had the money.
