I'd give zero stars if I could! My moms boyfriend was sent there after a stint in the hospital for a few weeks. He's terminal. He couldn't walk, dress himself or go to the bathroom. Rather than applying for long term care they sent him home to my mother who is on oxygen 24/7, has fibro & we told them repeatedly that she couldn't care for him. I am already HER part time caregiver. He got home last night, my mom ended up in the ER this morning & he fell & the fire department had to go pick him up. I don't know how long my mom will be in the hospital, meanwhile this man is home alone & I can't even help because I currently have Covid. It's ALL about the money, not care of life!!

My family member had the pleasure of recently staying at Life Care Center of Sierra Vista and we are all so pleased with her care. The nursing staff, who is 24/7 was very prompt and thankfully very patient with us as we asked our slew of questions. Teresa M from the therapy department was amazing and the fact that there's tailored therapy plans for each resident is a blessing. We were reluctant to use an assisted facility for my loved one's rehabilitation, but we couldn't have chosen a safer and more proactive team! Our whole family highly recommends Life Care and we will for eternity!

My mother who is 82 was admitted to the Life Care Center in Sierra Vista for rehab for a hip replacement, she was there for three days. On the Second day, she had stomach cramps, but they just gave her a pain pill. Later as she got diarrhea, they took a test and discovered she had an infection called c-diff. I called her doctor, and he told me to call 911. When the ambulance arrived at the Life Care Center; the staff there did not want to release her. They shared that would be treating her that morning with antibiotic and that the emergency room at the hospital would turn her away because it was not an emergency, they also lied to us and said she would have to pay for that ambulance ride to the hospital herself. Reluctantly I took their word that they would treat her and believed that the hospital would turn her away. The next morning my mom called me to say she is feeling even worse, and they still had not given her the antibiotics. I called the women at the front office very concerned and asked her why my mom had not been treated, and she hung the phone up on me. Once again I called 911, and when they came, the staff again intimidated my mom while she was crying and tried to talk her into staying at Life Center and told her that she would be turned away from the emergency room. They did everything to make her stay, ( I now know they did this to get their Medicare reimbursement) but this time I knew I needed to get my mom out of there, I did not care if I had to pay for the ambulance as I was very concerned about my mom's infection. She had been at Life Care for three days sick, and the doctor had not come to her room to examine her. She went to the hospital and was dangerously low in potassium and also had a very bad c-diff infection. Thank goodness that I did not listen to the medical staff at Life Center as my mom was truly ill and they were not treating her. Also, my mother does not have to pay for the ambulance ride... This was one of the most horrible experiences that I have been through in any medical situation. They lied and intimidated my mother into staying over for one day and still did not treat her. The food there is so bad that when my mom lifted the spoon, out of her bowl of soup, the whole soup came out with the spoon like a big piece of rubber. If you love your family member, please do not take them to this facility.

My dad is still in a nursing home. It is called Life Care Center. It is a new center. It is very clean and very nice. One thing that we didn't care is all the carpeting in the halls. The patients seem to have trouble with their wheelchairs trying to move, so did my dad when he was out and about because it is carpeted all over. It just seems that you wouldn't be able to keep it as clean as floors that you can mop. Nevertheless, the people that work there are very nice. They are right on the ball. If you need something, they're right there. The place is in a very good neighborhood. It is very uplifting when you go in. It isn't at all like a nursing home. It is a very nice area. It is right off the main highway. It is very easy to find.
