My mother has been in McDowell Village for three weeks now. It is a nice place, and she likes it. It is next to senior center. The staff is nice and like her. She has the biggest place there with two bedrooms, two baths, and a washer and dryer. There is an exercise room, pool, and games.

We toured McDowell Village. The tour was excellent. The community was friendly. There were a lot of activities for the tenants. The dining area was amazing. The menus were great. We loved everything about the place. The person who gave us the tour was great as well. The apartments were nicely equipped and up-to-date. They were very spacious. We were very impressed with them. They have some daily exercise, and they have physical therapy areas where the tenants can play cards, games, or puzzles together. They have a bar area with a happy hour every day, and they have a church, which was nice. They have a movie theater where they can go and watch movies that are selected during the week, or if they want to invite, say, their grandchildren in and watch a Disney movie or something in the theater, they can reserve that as well, which was nice.

I went to McDowell Village. My first impression was positive, but the location was not as good as the other one. The person who gave me the tour was excellent. The room was very nice, it's a newer property, they had a gym, and a kind of coffee shop where you could go anytime of the day or night and get a cup of coffee.

McDowell Village was a very enjoyable and beautiful place, but you have to come up with several thousand dollars to move in. The administration fees and rent add up. The hamburger I had there was good, and the staff was very helpful.

I like McDowell Village very much. I'm planning to move there in June of this year. I am very impressed with the general manager. He showed us the place and spent a lot of time with us. The remodeled apartments are excellent, however, the un-remodeled ones I would not want. The amenities that I saw were the swimming pool, the workout room, the walking area, and the social activities.

McDowell Village was absolutely the very best of the places I didn't choose. It was excellent and their tour director was absolutely bar none the very best person we dealt with and was absolutely super. It had a nice lobby, layout, and rooms. If I hadn't chosen the one I did, I would have chosen McDowell Village. The facility is excellent, perfect, and lacks nothing.

My dad stayed at McDowell Village. They couldn't get him the care that he required because he has a pretty high level of care. The food is good, and it's like in a restaurant. The facilities are nice and definitely handicap-accessible. They have a pool, gym therapy, and trips to grocery stores. The fee is rent and assisted living charge. The caregivers are extremely nice, but there are some issues with management.

The rooms in Mcdowell Village were a little bit smaller, they’re remodeling all the rooms and bringing them up to date, and they’re also remodeling the common areas. The remodeled ones were pretty nice, and I think I can move in to something like that. The dining area was nice and acceptable.

We chose McDowell Village. It’s a very nice community that serves excellent, gourmet meals. The people that we worked with were very caring. I know they have different kinds of exercise and an in-house personal trainer, plus a salon, theater, pub, card rooms, game rooms, and computer rooms. The place is completely secured. Our apartment is almost 1,000 square feet. It’s very lovely, and we really like it.

My relative is in McDowell Village. The food is excellent. The staff is incredible. It is right next to the Scottsdale Senior Center. They have a variety of care, and activities. We are very happy with it. They have field trips, physical activities, brain games, bingo, all kinds of crafts, and all kinds of things. I like the location, the cleanliness, and the fact that it is new. I like that everything is in one place, and they are very active. It is not dark or boring.

I thought McDowell Village was an excellent place. We loved that place. That was actually the very nicest place we went, but they didn't have memory care for my mom. The rooms were lovely, the food was good, and the people were nice; however, my mom couldn't go there because she's got too much dementia. Nevertheless, it's a lovely facility, and I would recommend it to anybody that can handle it.

McDowell Village seemed to be a very nice place. We vistied twice, and the staff was very helpful. The apartments were very nice, very clean, and bigger than I assumed. The dining room was nice and set up like a restaurant. They had a pool table and group activities, like exercise.

My husband has a couple of clients down here at McDowell Village, so he visited some people in the village, and they love it. The staff worked very hard. The problem with them is that they don't have a high level of care for someone who is very ill. They were very upfront about it, but it is fine for independent and some assisted living. As for activities, I don't know specifically, but they have the usual clubs and outings. The rooms were very nice, very big, and well laid out. A lot of them have decks, they have very nice appliances, and if I remember, they have stove in the kitchen too. I didn’t taste their food, but the dining area was very well staffed and very nicely setup. The place was very active because there are a lot of independent living people there. There was lot of activity and a lot of bustle. The problem is that they don't provide a high level of care for serious illnesses. But for what they are doing, I think they are doing a good job.

McDowell Village is very nice. The staff is very friendly, and the grounds are well maintained. They have people come in and entertain. We don't get there very often, but every time we're there things are going on. They have church services, they take them out on scheduled trips, they go to games during the baseball season, they have a movie theater, and they have a popcorn machine. The staff treated my in-laws very well, and they seem to be very nice. Everybody seems to know who they are, and they addressed them by name. The food doesn't excite me, but they seem OK. The menu is the same every day with some specials thrown in. We had lunch and dinner there, and it's OK. The folks that are there seemed to be very happy. The ones who are a little more mobile than my in-laws seem to do an awful lot, and they seem very pleased with what's available there. The facility itself is clean and very well maintained. I was able to walk around every floor of the place, and I found a library and a bar where they can go during happy hour if they want. It's very nicely setup. I would say it's more for someone who doesn't necessarily need a lot of assistance.

This is a beautiful facility. It is 5 years old. It is 3 stories with 270 apartments. forty of these are assisted. These are one and two bedroom apartments with full kitchens and washer dryers in apartments. the smallest is 648 square feet. All are handicapped equipped.. They have emergency pull chords. Also available are alert pendants. The grounds are shaped like a U around the building. They have walkways, greenery, flowers.benches for sitting and covered patio. There is a pool and hot tub. Housekeepin and laundry is available to be done. There is a restaurnt style ding roon that seats 106 residents. They are served meals. The food is good with a variety for specials and alternate menu. Snacks are always available. It is all home style cooking. There is a separate private family dining room. The director is an RN and there are 2 licensed nurses in duty during week and on call 24/7. All staff are certified caregivers. The staff seems very nice and caring. For a larger facility it seems very homey. There is a doctor who comes in. Transport is available for appointments. Activities seem plentiful with exercise programs, bingo. cards and other board games. There are bbqs and birthday parties and outside entertainment comes. Residents are taken on walks and outings to shopping, movies, restaurants and other places. This a very nice, clean, and friendly facility.
