Living Well Our Living Well care program is a holistic approach aimed at maintaining residents' well? being and self-worth. It is a program that encompasses all aspects of our resident care. While many think of "Activities" as pre-planned group events, such as exercise, crafts and music events where almost everyone participates, we think of "Activity" as everything the resident does throughout the day, whether planned or spontaneous. This includes our residents' personal care, conversations with others and even time alone. We spend a great deal of time assisting residents with personal care and the daily routines can become more meaningful when we are making sure we are using sensitivity and creativity to create the special Personal Care Moment. To learn more about this provider's license and review other available state reports, please visit: Arizona Department of Health Services Public Health Licensing

My uncle has lived here for about a year. I visit about once month and he seems happy. He has his own room and its nice - he has a double bed and there is plenty of space. He isn't very mobile, but when I visit, he is usually in some kind of group activity. I like to take him out the pretty courtyard to visit. I had dinner with him the last time I was there and it was surprisingly good - chicken pot pie, but homemade - NOT frozen. There have been some changes in staff, but it's for the better. I was there on a Saturday and the Manger was there which I thought was good. My cousin lives out of state, so she counts on my visits as her "eyes". I haven't had to give her a bad report.

My mom lived at Amber Creek Inn and it was a nightmare. The management staff was not good and they're changing again. No one ever followed through with anything. The food was horrible. The activities were not too bad. They had people that came in to sing, they made things, and there were people who come and show them how to do things, but that has gotten less and less because of bad management. The caregiving staff was fair and there were a couple that were really good. The building was nice, beautiful, and new, but they weren't keeping it clean.
