My husband moved into Good Samaritan Society-Prescott Valley. The staff is very good, very caring, and they keep me very well informed of what's going on. It's very clean there, and the food seems to be acceptable. They have a full schedule every week for various activities. They have everything from movie nights to people that come in and do arts and crafts. They have volunteers that come in and play music. Somebody there was playing a piano; it was very nice and very good.

I put my husband in this facility for one week of respite care. I was working out of town for a few days and could not take him with me. The facility is clean and well run but they put him in a lock down ward due to dementia. I would have been happier if he had been in the main facility with some of the higher functioning. He has dementia but is fairly social. He can't play regular card games like pinocle or bridge but likes to talk and play simple games. Lock down was hard on him. Over all the staff does the best they can... the food is something they pride themselves on but the one meal I had was not impressive.
