My husband is at Catalina Springs. It is a newer facility. They do things for memory care every day. We picked it because it seemed fresh and clean, and the people were more alert looking. It's also close to the house. I like the people who run it. They were very knowledgeable and very caring people. My husband walks around at night. The place is circular, so they're able to walk around. They also have some animals, like kittens. Arnold doesn't necessarily take care of kitten, but it's nice to see animals around. The side where Arnold's on has about 13 men, and everybody gets along really well. If Arnold can't eat very well, one of the caregivers will help him. We narrowed down our choices to two facilities, and they were the best.

Catalina Springs Memory Care was a pretty great place. The only thing that I didn't like was I think the rooms were a little bit smaller, and a little bit darker. Everything else was great. It was clean. Everybody was great.

I visited Catalina Springs, the apartment they were going to put my mother in was only 165 sq. ft., it was a Jack and Jill bathroom, and I felt very claustrophobic in the room. It was awful, and they wanted $700 more a month than the other place. The staff was friendly enough, the facility was nice and newer, but I felt very uncomfortable. They were trying to fit as many rooms as possible in there.
