My dad moved to Sage Mesa. They don't have the option to move into more assisted living. It's only independent living, but they do offer a very cheap break of lease option in case you do have to move your loved one to an assisted living. Everything is brand new. There is still some construction, but you can never hear it because it's pretty far down the street. They're doing another complex. Sometimes the key fobs for the doors are out of order, but it's gated, and the keyed entry as well after the gate. So that's nice. It's secure. The seniors like feeding the rabbits. There are a lot of rabbits since it's such a new area. There's a library, a pool table, a poker table, and a movie theater. They do scheduled meets and events that they post on the bulletin board every week. Also, there are a lot of groups for seniors just to make a group to talk about a specific thing that they hope other people like too, which is cool. It's just really big. So, I feel like older people should have a little bit more instruction signs, maybe down every hall instead of just like wandering three halls and you finally find a little sign that says where you are at. They have a community garden as well as a pool, a fitness center, bocce ball, shuffleboard, and pickleball. They have all the equipment available for free rental. You just check it out and then check it back in. His neighbors were nice. Everyone seems very happy there too. When I did the tour, everyone was like, waving at the lady and she knew everyone on a first-name basis. It seems very personal. The staff was really great.

We toured Sage Mesa. It was very new. They just recently opened up another wing. It was a very good interview, very informative, and we were very impressed with them. The rooms are very nice and very clean. They don't provide meals. There was no dining there. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and very willing to work with us with our budget. She did a very good job. The only thing my mom didn't like was, they didn't provide any type of transportation and she felt like she would have trouble going out and doing any activities.

I visited Sage Mesa, the facility was brand-new so everything was very nice. I liked this property because they have a lot of amenities, a lot of activity areas, and there's a lot of space you have access to including the pool area. The only downside for us was there's no transportation nor meals provided, otherwise, I think it's going to be a great community for 55 and older.
