I have moved into Discovery Point Retirement Community. Except for not having a patio, it's right up there. It gives you two meals a day (breakfast and dinner), all the utilities are paid, and I have a one-bedroom. It's good. The staff is wonderful. They're extremely considerate. The maintenance peson is looking out for furniture for me because I didn't have a lot when I moved in. They're kind. The food is delicious. My apartment is very clean. It's not huge, but then none of them are.

Discovery Point Retirement Community was contained in a big building and there were probably twice as many people. The people were very nice. The dining room was very nice. They had a nice exercise room with nice machines. They had everything you could want there. They had a nice chapel. I am Catholic, so they had kind of one that leaned toward that way. I like Discovery Point, and it would have been my second choice. As far as price, they were each about the same, I think. Everything was very nice and very clean. I praised it highly. It was a very nice building. As for the atmosphere, I felt fine there. It had very long hallways and stuff like that, but everybody had their door or entryway decorated. I was impressed.

We toured Discovery Point Retirement Community. The in-person visit was very good and very informative. The host was very friendly. What I like most about is that they do have transportation available. The community activities, we like those a lot. It seemed like the building was very clean and well-maintained. The food was very good.

I went to look at Discovery Point Retirement Community. I liked all the things they had to offer. They're very organized and friendly. It was just about what we needed. They have a dining area, a pool area, a washer and dryer, and an exercise room. The facility was very well kept. The staff was very friendly. She knew everything there was to know about the place and answered our questions. She did a thorough job of giving us a tour of the place.

Discovery Point Retirement Community was very nice and modern-looking. They had all kinds of stuff. They had a place where you can get your hair done and they had a nice eating area. They had a menu all made up and everything. It all looked really good and their prices were very reasonable. It was only $2000 a month. Everywhere else was too high. The people were very, very nice, answered all our questions, and took us around everywhere.

My father is on a wait list at Discovery Point Retirement Community. I chose it because I was familiar with it. My grandmother had resided there 20 years ago. The only staff I interacted with was the person that gave us the tour, and she was very informative, very accommodating, and friendly. They offered two meals, versus a lot of places only offered one. They offer weekly housekeeping, they do linens, and all utilities are included. Indoor entrance to the apartment was also appealing as far as safety concerns. They have a pool, they offer nondenominational church services, all kinds of activities, and they offer shuttles to different shopping locations four days a week.

Discovery Point Retirement Community was all clean and simple. There were many rooms for activities. The staff I met seemed like they were doing their job. The atmosphere was a relaxe community. The residents looked pleasant and that they were having a good time.

My mother will be moving into Discovery Point Retirement Community. It's clean and very well kept. The apartments looked fairly spacious. The staff during the tour was very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable about the complex, and involved with the residents. She knew who several of the residents were as we walked around. They have washers and dryers, group activities, going out to various places, trips to stores and doctors, a pool, clubs, a library, and they had elevators.

Discovery Point Retirement Community was pretty good. It was our number one before we went to another place. The staff was good. The rooms were not big enough. The maintenance and the upkeep looked good. It was just the room sizes were too small.

After 2.5 years of residency at Discovery Point we are very happy about the decision we made to move here. The staff is very caring and work very hard. Good meals and many special events to participate in. Life is easier here allowing us to do the activities we want with more ease. Our apartment is our cozy home now. No muss..no fuss..time for us!

My first community was Discovery Point, and it wasn't a good experience. It didn't have a balcony, you could take two sheets, towels, and two of everything, so I had to throw away a lot of stuff. Their staff was very nice, we had our own table, and the same floor would sit at the same table all the time, but the food wasn't very good. They didn't have good ventilation, and as soon as you walk in the back door, you would get a whiff of all the food cooking. However, I was vegetarian then, and I didn't like it at that time.

Concern of safety measures supposedly available to residents. Based on a residents experience. Staff very congenial. Dining area pleasant with compatible residents. Canasta group - tri-ominos . Overall neatness of facility.

Discovery point has nice, green grass, and the people were very friendly. They treat you pretty well, but it's expensive. The rooms were too small. The staff was friendly and professional. They have washers and dryers available, but they could probably use a few more.

Discovery Point Retirement Community offers a lot of activities for their residents to enjoy. They also offer a wide variety of meals. The community itself seemed very friendly.

I visited Discovery Point and it was very nice. I enjoyed that, and I had helped a couple of people moved in to that. Actually, there were three on our part that had gone there, and they really liked it. It was very upbeat. They had activities for them to do. They took them to different functions and so forth. The meals were excellent. The dining room was really nice. One of my friends was in a two-bedroom, and the other two were in one-bedrooms. They had a washer & dryer right in their rooms that they really liked. It was near the hospital and near a lot of doctors' offices. It was conveniently located, and I would recommend it.

We also did visit Discovery Point, and it was very nice. The people have individual apartments. The fees were reasonable compared to others. They have the meals provided and activity rooms. It was a large place and could be very interactive. It was like living in an apartment-style setting.

We liked Discovery Point because of its atmosphere and its location. It seems that it was light, and I like a lot of light. It has a nice entryway, and I kind of liked it. As I remember, everything is fine there. They have a library, and the activities are fine. Of course I would really like more room in it, but I can't really say anything bad about their rooms. I don't know that much about it, but the feel of it was all very nice.

My mother has moved into Discovery Point. The location is good, and we liked the fact that it is all indoors. It was highly recommended by someone that I trust. I like the staff very much. The ones I have met have been very helpful. Her room is very clean and has been repainted after the last person moved out. They have a lot of storage with big closets. They have bingo, craft classes, and music programs. Sanitation is fine. I would recommend them.

The feedback we get from mom and dad is that they love it and they're just happy as little clams. As far as I know they're getting great care at Discovery Point. They have a chef over there who is a very good cook. The food is the best they've ever had. They've been in two other different communities up in Oregon and they said that this one just far outweighs those altogether. The housekeeping is good. The laundry is right outside their door and the elevator is right around their corner. They're very thorough when they clean. They're very pleasant and courteous around the residents there. They answer all the questions if there are any and they've been great everytime. They had a sing along where mom sang and so went over and listened; that was very good. We're thrilled and we're ecstatic. I can’t think of anything on the negative, it’s all positive. There’s a dentist right across the street. There's a derma and other doctors right around the corner. And just down the street, down Baywood Ave is the big heart hospital.

Discovery Point was okay, but the facility wasn't very clean. There were spots on the floor and it didn't smell okay. The staff were really friendly and nice though.
