Brookdale Springs Mesa was beautiful. Their helpers were very nice. They added a theater, which I thought was cool. They also added a dance floor in one of their big rooms where they have all their fun stuff. The dining area was very nice. I tried the food when my mom was there, and it was great. They remodeled the whole place. They had a beauty shop, and there was a beautiful pool. They have transportation. It's a great place.

Brookdale Springs Mesa was very nice. Something was going on so I just kind of looked around. I didn't bother anybody. I didn't go inside the main building. I walked around to look at it. I talked to some of the people that live there and that's where you get most of your feedback, the people who are living there. They said they didn't have any problems with it. It was a nice place. It was safe and quiet.

Brookdale Springs Mesa was very nice. They sent me a lunch home with me, and it tasted good. They showed me a room that was being painted and no one was living there. Somebody had just moved out and it was alright. It was fine. I saw their dining room, their meeting room, their living room space, and there was a nice library. It was clean. The staff was very friendly.

I toured Brookdale Springs Mesa. It's older. It's a little dumpier. It's not as well-maintained. It doesn't look like they're doing much about that. It looks like an old apartment complex that's been refurbished, which it wasn't, but it has that feel about it. They look like they have a good sense of community there, so that's an overcomer for it. The people were very friendly. The actual residents were very friendly, and that could be a big piece for somebody who doesn't need a lower budget, but it's not a nicely tended facility. They look like they have exterior work that they need to do. The staff was a little rude when our figures didn't match. Then she seemed rather done with me, which wasn't my fault. So, to treat me like that and then not even take the time to maybe amend it, like, actually get me this phone number for the other Brookdale that's right next to them. She didn't even have the time for that. I would have thought that would have been a nice amends for an awkward situation instead of saying, 'So it's not available now and I guess it's time to go'. The facility needs repairs. You could see cracks and stuff in the floor, paint chips, and their exterior stuff is very old. They need to do some work.

We toured Brookdale Springs Mesa. It was a very good in-person visit, very organized, and very informative. Their goal was to work with you on your budget. The apartments were nice. They're a little older but were very nice and clean. They have a very good staff.

I like the atmosphere around Brookdale Springs Mesa. The ability to get what mom needed at a reasonable price was another thing. Some of the other places I've talked to were a lot more expensive. So far, they're the most reasonable place I've talked to without going way away from where I live. It was a nice atmosphere. There were places for people to go and sit outside and inside and enjoy themselves. The residents even decorated the hallways around their doors, which is kind of nice. Most places don't do that. They have two big outdoor areas and most of the rooms had balconies or patios where people could just go and sit and enjoy the sun, which was nice because my mom likes to sit on her front porch, so she would enjoy sitting outside on a balcony or patio. The staff was very friendly, very knowledgeable about everything that went on there, and was very interested in what my mom liked to do and would explain everything that was going on in the facility. The facility is very good, but it's hard to find parking spaces.

I have chosen Brookdale Springs Mesa because of the environment. Overall, I like what it offers. They have various activities. They have an activity room, a physical equipment room, and a craft room. They have a lot of available services from moving to outings and special transportation in some cases. The cleanliness was excellent. The apartment was good. It's very accommodating. It had a refrigerator, a little two burner on top of the counter, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a sink. The food was excellent.

Brookdale Springs Mesa was a very nice place. The room we looked at was very, very nice and was more within our price range. It was a one-bedroom apartment and so we enjoyed it. We had lunch there. There were five of us and all of us had different things and everybody said that their food was very good. Andrea was the lady that did the tour and she was very nice and very informative. They showed us independent living and said that if we needed more care for my sister, she wouldn't have to move. She would still get care right there, whatever room she chose. Everything was great. That was the best place we toured yesterday.

My mother will be moving into Brookdale Springs Mesa. The place was very clean. When we walked through moving our stuff in, somebody was cleaning some of the rooms and the hallways were clear. The dining room looked fantastic, and it was just really nice. We tried their food and it was very good. The staff and the residents were all very nice. There was an issue with the original apartment we chose and then they took care of switching it to one that works without any problems. When we were there, we saw some residents doing puzzles. Several areas around the facility had tables set up with puzzles. There were some people in the lobby area talking to each other. It looked like a very friendly place, and I know my mom would be able to make friends and have a lot to do. They had a library, which was part of the lobby area. They had a swimming pool and a salon. They had a movie every night that you could go to and they had church services and Bible studies. They would also take them to the grocery stores and doctor's appointments.

I like Brookdale Springs Mesa the best. The tour was very nicely done. The person who handled the tour was very open, answered all of my questions, and showed me their facility. I was very impressed. I loved how open it was and how much light there was. It had a very nice feeling to it. It was a two-bedroom apartment that we were looking at. I loved the size of the apartments, as well as the kitchen. The kitchen was a big selling feature for me. The facility is very nice.

Brookdale Springs Mesa was a very nice property. I met with Candy there, she gave me the tour, and she was fantastic in giving me all the information that I needed. It's very well taken care of, and the dining area was also very nice. The units were also really nice and quiet. It seems they have a lot of activities and they had a nice pool area. I liked this property. They also had a lot of amenities, they have transportation, and they have meals. Their staff was very nice and very welcoming, and Candy was awesome.

I visited Brookdale Springs Mesa. They offered just about anything you wanted. We just met one, but she was very accommodating. She told us what was available, showed us around, and the type of apartment we would have. She was very thorough in her explanation. The rooms were beautiful. The size is more than adequate. They were pleasant and more like a home. The dining area was like a restaurant. The grounds were very clean. They have a place where you could invite guests like to meet for a get-together. They had fitness rooms. There was nothing I could see wrong with it at all.

I had an excellent tour at Brookdale Springs Mesa. They were very friendly. The community is exactly what we're looking for. The level of care is what we want, we just can't afford it at this time. The rooms were perfect, it's all very easy. My mother is on a walker, and you could gain access to everything. The place is very clean. Everybody seemed really friendly. The staff answered all of our questions and was just really over and above to give us all the information we needed to try to get her to qualify. We did walk through the dining area and it looked great. We were there at dinner time, so we saw everybody getting their food and eating. We didn't crowd into that area, but we walked by it. Everybody was in the dining hall eating. There was a garden. We were just mostly there to talk with them and then do the tour of the apartment. She was telling us about the grounds and stuff, but we mainly stayed in the office answering all of our questions.

Brookdale Springs Mesa is like a five-star hotel. They have a lot of staff to help their residents. Everything is inside, so you don't have to go outside in the heat here in Arizona. They have two beautiful courtyards and pools. They have lots of facilities and lots of activities for the residents to participate in.

We toured Brookdale Springs Mesa and we liked pretty much everything. However, the fact that they didn't have a 2-bedroom with two beds was a little disappointing. It was very well taken care of. I guess it's like 30 years old, but they do a good job of taking care of it. The person who gave us the tour was knowledgeable and informative. They have a salon for haircuts and hair styling, they had an exercise room and a good dining room. A little lower cost might help because I don't know that we can afford it.

I liked Brookdale Springs Mesa. The lady who toured me around gave me her extra time to let me ask all the questions I wanted. She didn't make me feel rushed. They had a covered patio and an area to walk through outside, which would be nice and convenient for my mom. It's just that their one-bedroom wasn't big enough for her stuff.

Brookdale Springs Mesa was excellent. It looked like everything's been recently remodeled. The staff and residents were both very nice. The tour was really good. They reached out and contacted us. The person who gave the tour was personable, very attentive, and made sure to follow up with us. She did an excellent job. We liked the layout and it was more secure than the other one. Their one-bedroom was probably more than we needed for my mom. They had a refrigerator, a freezer, and a countertop, an electric two burner. Then you provide your own coffee maker and microwave. They also have a pool, a hot tub, ponds, and fountains around in the center part of it.

I toured Brookdale Springs Mesa. The staff was very personable. He explained everything very well. No pressure and I appreciated it. He told me to let him know and he will get back to me in a couple of weeks or so. He's giving me time to decide on what I want to do, so I appreciate that. It's a very nice place. Everyone that I met was very, very nice. I had spoken to a young lady on the phone before I spoke with Brendon, and they were very nice. I saw her when I was there, and I enjoyed speaking with them. They were very informative. The facility was very nice. They have a jacuzzi, they have outdoor seating, the residents can go and come, and they have bus service. They also have like an alarm where you pull that cord. The apartments themselves were very nice and very clean. The place was clean. They were getting ready to play bingo when I was there, and the residents were filing in to play the bingo. The residents that I saw were all very friendly. It was a very nice feeling there.

I went to Brookdale Springs Mesa. That was the best out of all of them. The physical appearance was very good. The lady that did the tour was excellent. She took us to different places within the facility. What impressed me the most was the cleanliness of it and all the amenities that you receive for the amount. They offer veteran discounts. They do a wellness check in the morning at 10:00, so that was very impressive. They make sure that everybody is still alive. They showed us the calendar of activities. It was in an elevator. They told me about the different activities that they offer. It is great during this time. Coming off a pandemic, everybody was being careful. It was just a short tour, but I was very impressed.

Brookdale Springs Mesa was a very nice facility. The woman that we met with (I did not like) I thought was very condescending and rude. The rooms or apartments were a little on the small side, but they were pretty nice. They were remodeling, so everything looks brand new. The outdoor spaces were very nice. They do indoor games, reading, and movies.

I had a tour at Brookdale Springs Mesa, but they didn't expect me. They did have somebody that showed me around, but she wasn't a sales person; she didn't know some of the things that probably would have been a good idea. It was very, very nice. The place has just been remodeled, and they did an awesome job. The grounds are beautiful. The people all seem to be happy and in little clusters talking. They have a lot of activities, and they have a lot of meal choices (including two meals a day). The apartment was very nice, and everyone had their own little patio area or balconies. Their days are packed with activities. There's just a lot of opportunities to be able to get out, be happy, things to do, and places to go. They do have vans that go to several places every day. The people really seem to be happy.

The people at Brookdale Springs Mesa were friendly. I saw people playing bingo and they looked like they were having a grand time. Everywhere we walked, people were saying hello and greeting you. They were very friendly throughout. It's under construction a little. They were doing a little bit of work, but just upgrading some things. The one thing I wish they'd put in their brochures that I didn't realize is more pictures because they give you layouts, but they don't give you pictures of the inside of the facility, so you forget real easy when you tour. The grounds were beautiful, and the courtyard was gorgeous. It was an awesome location. The room was very pretty, laid out well, and convenient. I kinda wish the balcony was a little bit bigger, but the rooms themselves were big and roomy. It was a beautiful place, clean, and smelled good. It had a very friendly and very comfortable feel. I didn't meet much of the staff, but everybody seemed friendly. I met some nurses in the hall, and some people who were cleaning, and they were all very friendly. I felt very comfortable.

I went to Brookdale Springs Mesa. They showed me the model room and everything. The visit was real good, the model of the room was real nice; you can't really tell too much because actually when you get the room there's no furniture. They had this one furnished, but they were really nice rooms, they were a good size, and it'd be great. The staff member was real good, she was very nice. We talked about what you needed to move in, what it cost, and all that stuff.

Brookdale Springs Mesa was nice and clean, but I didn't like the laundry facility. It wasn't as handy. Also the decorations were too fancy, dressy, and lacy; it just wasn't my style. The staff was nice and friendly enough and she showed me around. They had one room they could show that they were renovating; however, they didn't make any offers to take the carpet out. It comes as it is. The place wasn't my style. Nevertheless, they showed me the activities and they showed me places where they have them. They have cards, a movie theater, nice walking areas, a exercise room, and a room for cards, puzzles, and games. The dining area was too fancy. The place was nice and clean, but it wasn't in the area I want to live in. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Brookdale Springs Mesa is a very nice, classy-looking place. I really like it. However, when I called them, they said, "We have nothing right now, and we don't anticipate having anything in the future." Their apartments aren't any nicer or newer. They are the same size as with the rooms in the other community; however, it was fancier. They provide three meals.

My mother is moving out of Brookdale Springs. When she moved in two years ago, it was very clean and there were care givers that checked on residents frequently and were available and willing to help. However, I'm sorry to say that in the past 6 months, the staff has been reduced so much that we can't even hire additional help. Additional assistance with dressing or medicine, it's very expensive on top of the $3600/month. The food is unappetizing and very few low sodium selections.

My mother is in Brookdale Springs Mesa. They're very good to her and assist in making her bed and doing the sheets once a week. They have a laundry facility. They come in to give my mother her pills at designated times. It is a very beautiful community. The staff is very friendly, very cordial, and very polite. They're exceptional. My mother goes to church and plays bingo every once in awhile. The food is good and caters to the seniors; there's no seasoning. After a few years, you start getting tired of the food.

We went to Brookdale Springs Mesa. They had amenities, but we are not interested in the apartments. We want a place by itself. The dining area was clean and very nice with table cloths. They had a game room, a library, and a lounge. I didn’t talk to any of the staff, but they seemed friendly. I think the community was clean and orderly, and the employees acted professionally and courteously.

The med techs, cleaning staff, care givers and maintenance staff are all great. The poorly trained dining staff and incompetent kitchen staff leave much to be desired. My father continually tells me the food is "lousy". He's lost a bunch of weight that he can't afford to lose because he says the food either tastes awful or it's too tough for him to chew. He says everyone complains about the food and service to the dining manager, but nothing improves. I've spoken to both he and the now former executive director about the slow service, wrong orders, and the quality of the food, and I yielded the same result.

I chose Brookdale Springs Mesa for my parents because it was the best place from all of the other places I saw. I like the friendliness of the people as well as the sizes of their rooms. They have different activities like they do have happy hour every Friday. They also have bingo, and exercises. They do have swimming as well.

My friend didn’t like Brookdale Springs Mesa. It was okay, just not in a convenient location for his doctors. To be honest, I remembered it smelling kind of antiseptic, hospital-like, and old. The staff was very pleasant. The dining area was certainly adequate, and they have all of the amenities, too. I just think it looked outdated.

Everything at Brookdale Springs Mesa was very good. We went over and had lunch with them. There were 3 major items on the menu plus they had a whole bunch of standard items that was on there: hamburgers, hotdogs, chef’s salads, just anything you’d want. The food was very good; portions were very adequate. We had a real nice dessert. We talked to a couple of residents there; they were friendly and very happy and they had been there quite a while. One lady said that she had moved from another facility about 4 years ago and she was real happy with Brookdale Springs Mesa. We saw a bunch of ladies having popcorn and getting on a bus so the activities seemed good. The room was very adequate. Since you have all your meals downstairs, you don’t need an oven but the 2-bedroom that we looked at had a microwave in it that evidently was not in all of them but it was in that one. The floors looked good and the carpet seemed new. The view was nice; the grounds outside was very well kept. Could not find any negatives about it.

The director at Brookdale Springs Mesa (Formerly The Springs of East Mesa) was very friendly and went out of her way to try to make my dad feel comfortable and to get to know him. The facility itself was quite larger and very much like apartment living. The dining room setup was very much like a restaurant. The social recreation was typical; it's what I would expect. The rooms offered were also larger.

My mother was at Brookdale Springs Mesa for a year and half. She just passed away a couple of weeks ago. It was a very good place, and I would highly recommend it. The staff was very good and very helpful. The rooms were great. She had a first floor room, and it faced the swimming pool. It was very nice. She did not attend much on activities because she was 99 years old, but she did a little bit of chair exercise and bingo once in a while.

I liked the Springs of East Mesa. I thought their dining area was wonderful. They reminded me more of a country club or a nice restaurant. It was really big, just a little too big for what we've thought for my dad because it wasn't just assisted living. It is independent living and assisted living kind of co-combined with a very small portion under assisted, so that was kind of one thing we didn't like about it because they didn't seem to give focus on the assisted living. I didn't feel that he would get quite as much of individualized care there. Also, they had kind of a central area and then they had wings spreading out from there that made the apartments pretty far from the central area and it looked like they only had one elevator, which wasn't so good either for getting up and down because there were living areas or activity areas that were upstairs and downstairs. So that made it a little more difficult for my dad. The other thing was the apartments had a stove in there, which I did not like. That idea for someone living under assisted living to have burners, I didn't think that was a good idea. The grounds were very pretty. They had some outdoor areas as well as a pool. It is located in a nice neighborhood. It is very close to doctors and other assisted and memory care and nursing homes. They are kind of all in that area and a bunch of doctors' offices are there. Another thing I didn't like about it was they had an amazingly huge menu for every, single, different kind of assisted care, and we felt that we would never know what the actual cost was going to be every month; this was actually the biggest reason why we did not choose the Springs. They need better, clearer pricing for assisted living and no stoves in the assisted living apartments.

I also toured The Springs of East Mesa. They were OK. It would be my third choice. The lady who gave me a tour was very nice. They had different rooms. They had a small kitchenette and stuff. They had a private dining room and a swimming pool. They had arts and crafts. They had housekeeping services also. They were just things that I don't like. I thought the receptionist should have been more personable.

When we were checking Springs of East Mesa, the marketing people were very professional and anxious to get to business, but we told them that we were going back and forth between them and another place I work for. And we let Mother make the choice. The facility is just wonderful. We're very pleased. It's getting better expenses because Mom's needs have changed just in the short time she was there. From the other places I've seen, the rooms here are far superior. The price is even better. The base price is lower compared to other facilities. The apartment is even nicer. As well as an engaging and personable staff, they have a phenomenal dining room. I think that's one of the reasons why she chose this place, that the dining room appears like that of a cruise ship. It's attractive and appealing. The waiters learned her name right away and called her by that. They know us, and as soon as they see us, they know that she is our mother. Mother has difficulty eating now, so she's having a hard time enjoying how nice it really is. They have several activities that she doesn't participate in because of her age and lack of interest. They have bingo, a favorite thing that is played several times a week. It's engaging, and that she does do. I really don't have anything bad to say about them.

My grandmother is at The Springs of East Mesa. It serves its purpose. If something happens, there's a medical staff on site. I've eaten there, the food is good. For me, it seems fresh and of good quality. I think it's pretty satisfactory, but maybe they can just have more activities. The only thing that she doesn't like about her apartment, and I guess it's pretty subjective, is when you walk in there's a tiled foyer area and then to the left is the small, tiled kitchen with an island and two stools. This is a one bedroom apartment with a carpeted family room. She doesn't like that the kitchen and family room is divided by the tile and carpet. So, she would rather want it all tiled because she doesn't like the tile is raised up with the carpet, there's a little bump. That's the only complaint I heard from her.

Our visit at The Springs of East Mesa was very good. The ambience of this facility was very pleasurable. The staff was particularly nice. The food was good. We like the concept of 12-hour restaurant dining situation rather than meals being served just at certain times. We are vegetarians, so that's a big consideration as far as the type of food they have available. Overall, The Springs of East Mesa would probably be our second choice. It was our second choice because their accommodations didn't have a full kitchen and they only had like partial stove.

Springs has a good location but it’s a little far out from where I have most of my activities. The people working there are very nice. I’ve talked to Jaime Harel several times and she’s always so helpful. They had very nice rooms around 600 to 650 sq ft and I was looking for one bedrooms.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. However exterior parts of the building are very poorly maintained. Paint is peeling on all wood surfaces and some of the stucco. Some of the metal guard rails are completely rusted out and that could be hazardous. Bird poop needs to be washed from the outdoor furniture. The Springs surely needs attention to maintenance.

We did visit the Springs of East Mesa and were impressed with them. They were really good at showing us around and telling us all of the amenities that they have, the things that they do, and the places that they take everybody. It was very good.

The exterior and grounds are in serious need of repair and maintenance. Looks like nothing has been done in a few years. At least two places on the grounds the deterioration is so bad that they have been closed off by caution tape and look like they have been that way for a long time. Staffing has been cut back and many long time employees have been moved out to be replaced by less compensated individuals.

I felt that the place looked very beautiful on the outside, but it was a little deceiving. The outside was very decorated with the water spring in the very front, but the inside was so old. Granted it is mainly for old people, but the inside could stand to be updated. Also the smell was not very pleasing either, but I am sure that it could be fixed with a little air freshener. The staff was very friendly since I was greeted with a smile and a hello upon walking in. I also had lunch there which was pretty tasty and filling. They also had a pool in the back which was less of a plus to me but more of a plus to the people living there. I was just a little weirded out by the amount of security that they had watching the stranger individuals. Other than that my experience was a standard one.

I really enjoyed this facility, and so did my grandmother. Through out the time she lived there i visited every time i made a visit to Arizona which was about once a year. The staff was always polite and did everything they could to help my grandmother with what she needed. With 3 meals a day and events and private games in the dinning area my grandmother never had a problem finding things to do. Along with the extremely nice staff the facilities where extremely nice too, i always felt comfortable with my grandmother living here. She was very happy living here and i couldn't have wanted here anywhere else.

"On pulling up to this facility I couldn't help but think it was like a grand hotel. Immaculate landscaping and a huge entryway. I was greeted immediately by a bright faced woman at the desk. I noticed people/residents pretty much everywhere. Everyone seemed healthy and able to do pretty much anything on their own. There is a massive recreation room with couches and television, tables and chairs and even a pool table. There were actually people playing pool when I toured the rec room. I loved that they had a swimming pool although nobody was using it, but the weather was still in the high 70's so that could have been why. I noticed people actively coming and going the entire time I was there. Definitely seemed like more of a vacationers hotel than an assisted living facility, which I thought was great! I spotted staff at nearly every turn. My favorite sight of all was seeing a group of about 10 men gathered around a BBQ area all talking and laughing and joking around. It was fun to eavesdrop on their conversation as they went from politics to the best cuts of meat to grandchildren. Behind them was a small fountain that just set the tone for me. I was pretty impressed by the Springs, but think a resident has to be pretty active and able to take care of many of their own needs with some assistance. There's a pretty busy roster of activities too including exercise classes, outings and computer classes which I felt was superb. Of all the facilities I've visited with both my mother and my father-in-law, this was the first one I learned actually taught computer classes, which is so important as many of my family members live in different cities and States and especially with grand kids as they do most of their communicating via email."
