Brookdale East Mesa was very impressive, and it was my number one tour. I thought they were top-of-the-line. It had everything. The person who assisted me was excellent; I was impressed. I liked her very, very much. The staff members were more than friendly. We ran into them, and they stopped, they visited, they were welcoming, and they were appreciative. And I thought they were all just terrific. I thought the rooms were great. There's just enough room. I found cleanliness to be excellent. We saw different rooms that the residents were able to utilize. I thought every one of them had a good purpose, and I was pleased with them. They were clean. They had TVs in every room. I thought it was just an exceptional place. Even the residents were friendly. They were sitting around, and they interacted with us too. I was so impressed.

Brookdale East Mesa seemed very open and airy. It's very home-like and there were a lot of little sitting areas if a person couldn't handle the big room. The memory care room was beautiful. The staff was very, very nice and very kind. They had cards, bingo, coloring, and animal therapies.

It was very difficult having to put my mother in a home,it's even more difficult seeing other residents who appear bored and wandering the halls for a way out,at first sight when I toured it looked inviting, once I started visiting my mother 3 days week I begun seeing brookdale for what it really was, inexperienced care givers who have become complacent the ratio is ridiculous my mother has fallen twice in 2 weeks,I am in a desperate search for a home that will take better care of my mother, where ever that be?

It has been a year now since my dad passed away after a 2 month stay in this facility. The nursing and medical care was substandard. He had 2 falls with injuries to his head. Dad got a UTI and they did not recognize it or take care of it appropriately or in a timely fashion. They just gave home more and more medicine for "agitation". By the time our family recognized how sick he was and called 911, he was severely dehydrated and in renal failure. We wish we could turn back the clock and NOT have chosen East Mesa.

Brookdale East Mesa appeared nice. The staff was nice. It had pleasant, clean surroundings that would be good for mom and good for Alzheimer's patients. The staff was very helpful. I did not observe any activities, but they said they had music and chair exercises.

I was very impressed with Brookdale East Mesas. I thought I could live there. Even though they were working with memory care patients, they kept their patients up and busy. I saw the food, and it looked good. The rooms were very nicely done. Every bed was extra-long. They had extended mattresses, so the beds were very comfortable. They had half baths in each room and nice closets, which were bigger than the ones that my parents had. There was a nice shelf on the wall, too. It was a really pleasant experience for me. When I was walking through, the staff members told me their names, shook my hand, and seemed happy. The lady who was in charge of the activities had been there for 15 years and she said she just loved it. The residents were so excited to start that day because they were going to do some crafts, and she was getting the room ready for that. Overall, I felt it was done very well and it was very well-managed. They had two doctors. The facility was set up in four different houses. So, it was like a split floor plan, and they had two houses on each end. The place was fenced, so residents were allowed to go outside at any time they wanted. The outside was beautifully done. It had big trees and walkways that were not made out of cement. I thought it would be a very therapeutic place.

Brookdale East Mesa was an excellent facility. I met the staff. Everyone came in and explained things. They were very open to show us everything in the facility. The whole operation was excellent. They were very helpful. They really went out of their way to accommodate us. I was just very happy with them. In fact, I had recommended them to other people. They were very nice. They had a great security system, but you were welcome to come any time. I was very pleased or shocked actually because I didn't expect that. The grounds were secured and enclosed. They had different outdoor areas and gardens. The patients could plant flowers or walk, and they kept the doors open when the weather was nice. They had all kinds of entertainment. They were spectacular. I couldn't tell you how great it was. The cost was reasonable for what they offered. They also had doctors on call and nursing staff, and that was very important for us. They had a chef that came in once a week. They had meetings with the people to get their wants and likes. They tried to prepare their menus around what the folks wanted. If they didn't want something they offered, they could have something else. They don't have to have what was placed in front of them. It was down the road from a hospital, which was a big plus too. There was a lot of medical centers. It was quiet and nice.

My husband has been at Brookdale East Mesa for a couple of months now. We chose this facility because of the staff. They are just really great. However, the cleaning staff could be more thorough. The rooms are fine. We just thought this place is more upscale from some of the others we visited. They have all kinds of activities. They have something going on everyday, a couple of times a day actually.

The staff went out of their way to make the move-in process smooth. Everyone is friendly and made a special point to stop in to say welcome. We are very excited to have our Mom in a safe and caring environment.

This is a beautiful 52 suite building. It is one story, All suites are elegantly furnished. They are handicapped equipped and have emergency buttons. th Pets are welcome. The grounds are well maintained. The enclosed courtyard has walking paths, benches. lots of greenery. a patio. and bbq. The inside decor is very nice. They have a formal dining room, library, a movie theater, fitness center, and activity room. They serve three meals plus and snacks, They cater to Alzheimer residents and dementia. So they do a menu of six small meals so as wont overwhelm the resident. The chef was a cater and worked in elegant restaurants. The food is great and there is a large variety of choices. They have nurses on duty 5 days and 24/7 on call. Theu have a house doctor on call. They have and occupational therapist, activities director. physical therapy. amd hos[ice as needed. They have certified caregivers as per resident needs. They do all three levels of care. They transport to appointments with in a radius of home. Activities include in house bingo, sing-a-longs. and entertainment from out side, birthday parties, and bbqs. They especially encourage exercise, crafts. and memory stimulation. Ourings must be geared to the residents level of cognizance/ They do movies, shopping, walks, and other events. This is a great facility with caring staff.

I was very please with the Mesa, AZ Assisted Living Facility I visited. The location was great and the perfect place for my aunt. My aunt was extremely happy to have all the people around (although there were not many, it was a surplus for her), and said they were all very friendly. I strongly agree with my aunt's opinion. The only complaint I had was the furniture, it was extremely and notably scarce; the furniture that was present was old and raggy. I strongly suggest replenishing your furniture stock. Though, I will admit, my aunt was fine with this.
