My mom moved in. She is doing great there. They're very attentive to her needs. She gets very individualized care. I like that I can call day or night and somebody can tell me how she's doing and if she has any immediate needs. They have gotten to know her and her personality very well. It is a room and not an apartment, so it's like a master suite I would call it. She has a large, bright room with her own air conditioner and bathroom. I have tried the food they serve there. It was quite wonderful. It's very restaurant quality.

We toured Hacienda Del Rey. The layout was different than the other community we visited. It was more like a dorm room style, but everything was on ground level, so for my mom that was a plus. The buildings encircled a courtyard area so that when they went outside, they were within their own community. They're kind of protected from outside where people would be driving on the main road. I like that there's a courtyard area that's very, very private to the residents. The staff who gave the tour was very informative and very friendly. When we were walking through, when the residents saw her, they were all saying hello to her, so you could tell that there was some type of repertoire between her and the residents that lived there. I thought that was a good thing. The community was clean. The buildings were a little bit older than the other place, but it was very structurally sound. It was also very private and that made it nice.

I have not been happy with some of the processes on the business side of things. I was happy to learn that the facility was being acquired by another company. However, the grass isn’t always greener… The new ownership and ED are only interested in the business. Every conversation comes from a business, revenue, and profit approach. They lack empathy, compassion, and can’t take a human approach. It has also been quite surprising to experience the lack of knowledge and wherewithal to properly operate and meet the needs of family and residents. Make sure you know your needs as well as your loved ones. I would let things shake out for a year or more before even considering this place.

It is beautiful and peaceful. They seem to have a great program. I felt very welcomed and listened to. I spent more time there than at any of the other places. I got some good tips for helping my parents in the situation that they're in. It was my number one. It's closest to me. But when I checked in with my sisters, we chose the other place as a group. But I would have chosen it if it was just me. Their staff members were really friendly. The dining area was communal and spacious. And the facility was modern. They had a beauty salon, and a very nice courtyard that looked very safe.

The person who gave us a tour was very friendly and super energetic. What we liked about it was they have casitas, like little houses, and each house has different features like a game room or a library. We liked how clean the rooms were and it looked a lot newer. It looks like home like somewhere you would come. Everyone that we ran into was friendly. The person taking the meals to the building was also super friendly. There were spaces for people to sit out on the casita, like a front porch. So, residents could do that and they could have a little bit of free rein in terms of going to other buildings or different rooms, like if they want to go to a game room in the other building, they'll do that, or if they want to read a book and just have quiet time, they'll go to the building that has that. It was nice. They had about 5 or 6 casitas and each one had an open living room, dining room, and kitchen. There were snacks in the kitchen for residents. They had a studio apartment, a private one, and then they had one with an extended back. I liked the size of the studio. I felt like they were nice and spacious for someone to have a home away from home. The grounds were in good condition. You can tell they're well- manicured. They have a courtyard and you have to walk through it to get to the different casita. It appears to be very clean and nice to walk through. The building appears to be a little newer. The rooms seemed to be pretty modern.

We visited and saw both assisted living and memory care facilities in the four separate buildings. The staff was very nice and very personable with all the residents. They knew them all by name. They have a lot of activities for them. They didn't have a lot of amenities. Each building had its own great room, and the food was brought in. They all eat in their own building. They don't eat in a general dining hall. The chef was very, very good about trying to customize meals for each of the residents. I really like the chef. The rooms were a little small with two residents per room. We did see some pets that were there. The great room had a dining table and stuff for the residents that are in that particular building. The staff was very personable and friendly.

My friend has been a resident for about a month now. She is in a room with a roommate. They both have a little refrigerator. They have closets and a bathroom. Each building has its own kitchen and dining area, where they can have their meals or they can have their meals in their room. They clean. They have a beautician and a nail person available all the time. There is a doctor on staff, and nurses are there all the time. They have activities inside and outside. They have a courtyard. There are nine buildings in total, and each building has ten rooms. Right now, they have opened the place up. As long as you wear masks, and practice social distancing you can make an appointment to visit the residence. Just stop in at the office where they take your temperature and everything. They will give you a pass to visit a resident at the facility. It is a very good lay out. There are nine buildings that circle a big courtyard, where they can have barbecues and picnics. Residents are also allowed to comeback to their neighborhood to visit for a day.

It is a really good place and I think that the staff is doing a very good job taking care of my wife while she's getting treatment. It's clean, it's in a nice area, and it's close to my house. The people in the community are nice. I talked to her about the food. She said that there are some things she doesn't like, but most of the time it's pretty good. I like the people there. They have different levels of assistance and my wife is at the top level.

It is really nice, it's a newer community and I really liked it. The staff who assisted me was really nice and very helpful, and went out of her way to give me the tour. They seemed to have nice facilities and I liked that they offer a lot of activities for seniors. Their rooms were all pretty nice and clean, I liked the fact that they had wood floors. That made it easy for wheelchairs to get around, especially because my mother has a wheelchair too. I was really enthusiastic about the place and wanted to move my mom there but my brother chose another place. The staff I talked to was one of the executive types, and she knew what she was doing. The place even looked almost brand-new.

Hacienda Del Rey was a very nice place, but I didn't like their style of living. There are little bedrooms, and you have an activity room for each building. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The place was practically new. Everyone I met was wonderful and very caring.

My father-in-law moved in, and so far, it's been good. The staff seemed nice. It looks clean and comfortable. You furnish the room, it's a good size, and it's nice. They have a restaurant style dining area. It has a nice atmosphere.

Everybody was very nice here, and their residents seemed very happy. The rooms were older but clean and nice. Their staff members were very nice and knew what they were doing. When we were there, the residents were listening to someone playing the piano.

It was a new property, very clean, and very nice. It has houses, and in each house was about 10 residents. It’s like a home where each one has her own room, and it enters into a common area where the staff cooks the meals. Then they have the living room and the dining room in the open. It looks very much like a modern home setup with the open concept, and the little bar area that has the stools with the island in the dining room. So, it’s kind of neat, and different. The only reason we did not go with them is that not only is it very modern, but it’s also furnished very modern. It will probably do really well in about 10 years when people, who are ready to move in, are more into that modern style. Mom’s more into the home feeling where it’s wood instead of chrome, and stuff like that. One house will have the gym, and if somebody wanted to go to the library then maybe the library was in another house. They’re escorted to the other places they want to go, but they had activities. There’s a craft room in one of the houses, so each one of the houses had a designated special room. They had different things going on in there. It just wasn’t what our mother liked the best.

They had the place locked down for the safety of the residents because of their degree of mental capabilities, but it's more like a home environment. It's like a small apartment complex or a big house with 10 bedrooms. It had one large kitchen and one large living area where everybody gathered. They had alarms everywhere, and it was very well supervised. They had nurses and a staff that cooked fresh food for every meal. We had a very quick meeting. They were all shocked because we walked in the door and the alarm went off so loud that it startled everybody; it really startled the patients.

I visited two other places and this is the best because of staff friendliness. The food is always presented well, tastes good, and they have home made desserts. Beautiful community amenities.
