Lake View Terrace has been a wonderful relief to me over these last 3 years! Knowing that my loved one is in capable loving hands with skilled staff that know how to help my friend navigate life with dementia. The activities Lake View create for the residents gives them purpose, independence and a sense of accomplishment. The arts and crafts, baking activities and of course the nail polish manicure days truly warm my heart! My friend is in amazing hands with the staff and I couldn’t be happier!

My husband moved into Lake View Terrace Memory Care Residence. From the beginning, I got the help and the answers that I needed (like pronto). They led me through the steps that I needed to do because I didn't have any knowledge of this. It's all about family. They want everyone that's in there, whether they're working or living there, it's a big family. It's a welcoming situation, and it's extremely pretty and extremely clean. With their covid measures (even if you've had the vaccine), you still have to take a test before you're allowed in. The staff is extremely helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Right now, he's under the 10-day quarantine, so I can only deal with things by phone. They answer the phone right away, and they direct you to the person that you need to talk to right away. When I was talking to his nurse a little while ago, his chart was in front of her. She's not just winging it. They know their patients, and they're taking good care of them. They give them more than one choice for the food. It's just not like, this is what it is, and you're going to eat it. They give them a choice of two or three different items to hit what they would feel like to eat at that point. The facility is very well laid out. They do have activities. They have Kentucky Derby parties, and they teach them different craft things to do. They have music. They show them movies, and they have movie night with popcorn, etc. They try to keep them active and not just sitting in their rooms. I did do a little research and checking. To get good care, you need to pay the money. They're comparable within a hundred-mile radius of where I live, they're all comparable to pretty much the same.

My aunt has moved into Lake View Terrace Memory Care Residence. It is beautiful. The people there are so kind and understanding. She is very happy and very content. She always looks like she's been treated well. The food, she says, is OK. She doesn't really do a lot of activities, but they have activities. They had a Kentucky Derby type thing where they decorated and wore hats and fancy stuff. They have different things that they do as employees like Chili Cook-Off and stuff like that. There's a man that works there that does all of the moving things and fixing things. He's very prompt. He's a very nice man. All the caregivers act like they actually care. Everything is expensive, but as far as other places it seems to be pretty on par, and I don't have anything to complain about. We're happy there.

The way I heard staff talk to and about residents was unprofessional. The profanity they used. Also management just walking by and ignoring residents unless they knew us family members were there.

I chose Lakeview Terrace for my mom. It's fairly brand-new, it's very nice, and it's within my price range. It's strictly a stand-alone memory care community. My mom will be in a shared bedroom with a shared bathroom. The staff members were very nice people and very accommodating. At first glance I would rate them the highest in terms of appearance and cleanliness. The person who did the initial walkthrough with me talked about the programs and gave me the tour. They have a beautiful lobby area, a dining area, crafts area, and they have a lot of activities throughout the day for everybody to try and keep them active.

Lake View Terrace Memory Care is a wonderful and loving home for people with dementia. It was our mom’s home for the last years of her life. She really enjoyed living there participating in their appropriately planned activities and outings. She also enjoyed the frequent singers and entertainers. We visited her often and every time we went she was always clean, dressed and happy. The caregivers are sooo amazingly patient and loving, generous with their hugs and optimism. It was a difficult decision to make when we finally decided to have her move to Lake View, but it was the best decision we made. We are truly grateful for how they taught us, by watching the way they cared for our mom, to be able to understand and love her with all of her new and unusual dementia behaviors.

What a truly great group of people running this residential care property. From the first smiling face we met at the door to all of our participation in the ongoing family/community events we gave never been disappointed in the management at Lakeview. Our dad had adjustment issues, as expected, however the caregivers made him feel comfortable and cared for during his time there. I wasn't a big fan of their bland food, but I know with dietary issues, the chef cannot spice or salt it up too much. Dad finished his life at Lakeview, but he was never alone, management and staff kept a cli5se eye on him all the way to the end, and even comforted each of us.

My husband is in Lake View Terrace. That is an excellent place. They are taking very good care of him and keep him quite active. The room is clean and very spacious. They have a TV room, games, take them out to different places, and have hamburger nights, which my husband loves.

My mother was there for 4 months. In that time she fell 4 times, basically once a month. Unfortunately the last fall was her last. She died 7 days later

It is misleading to believe the residents receive and individual attention in this facility. The neighborhoods are severely under staffed. Some residents are bedbound and seem more suited for nursing home care, the caregiver is often so busy attending to these residents that more active residents get little or no personal interaction. Because of this and the administrations lack of concern regarding the issue my friends physical as well as emotional needs have been neglected several times. The caregivers do their best, but the environment is chaotic and stressful. I have advised my friends family to remove their loved one from this facility.

As far as caregivers go they were all wonderful people. We had some problems with the attention to cleanliness and how the laundry was handled. The food started out good but took an extreme turn for the worst as far as quality goes. The turnover rate for caregivers was extremely high due to an administration with lack of experience. In the long run when it came to the final days of our clients life the DNR was not available when the EMT's responded so life saving actions were taken and our client eventually succumbed in the hospital some 5 days later. Needless to say this is not the way we had planned things to go or our loved ones wishes.
