My sister is in Park Senior Villas - Goodyear. It's a small, secure community with nice landscaping. She has a spacious room, but it's not very well lit. The air-conditioner/heater unit is controlled by a remote control, and that is probably not the best idea to have in a memory care unit. As you can imagine, the remote control goes missing quite often. The staff is wonderful. She really likes it there, and she gets along well with the caregivers. They're very attentive, kind, and patient. The dining area is nice and small. There are only eight or nine residents in each house. I've been there at mealtime and it looked pleasant. They're terribly overpriced, though.

The tour I had at Park Senior Villas-Goodyear was awesome. The receptionist was very pleased when we walked into the office. She immediately got the person that was going to do our tour. We sat in a nice conference room with a glass window just to look over the information while we waited for our tour guide. When the lady came to give us the tour, she started in the assisted living area and we kind of went from there to the memory care building. We were able to see multiple rooms, shared rooms, and private rooms. Then she took us to the memory care and we were able to meet a couple of residents there. All the staff was so nice. There was a caregiver and a custodian that we met and they were on their lunch break. They were super friendly and seemed happy to be at work like they like their job. I liked that the residents ate their meals together. What I like about their kitchen or their meals is the residents can have choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So, if there's something for breakfast that they're all having, they can make some changes to their breakfast and get something else. So that was kind of nice to see that they cared about what the residents wanted. They have snacks left out for the resident to have if they want it to. The rooms were nice size. The private rooms were the larger ones. A lot of the residents have a sofa and a television, so they had a little sitting area in addition to the bed and everything. The rooms we walked into looked like someone's home. They were decorated to that person's satisfaction. They have pictures up on the wall or paintings. One lady had a cat. So, just different things like that. I would probably pick this facility because I feel my mother-in-law was like those residents. She would like to make friends with some of them and it seemed more like a family unit. They were doing activities and stuff together in the building, not isolating themselves. That part was nice. The building was just a little bit older. That's not a huge deal though.

Park Senior Villas Goodyear is very nice. The lady who took us on the tour and who is also the marketing person is very nice. Her name is Tonya. The rooms were big. There are six different villas, and there are ten private bedrooms in each villa. Each villa has its own kitchen area, dining area, and sitting area, and they all surround the center quad. They have a beauty shop with a hairstylist, and they have a gym. The memory care is very secure; they have locks on the door. If I could have paid the price, I would have put my husband there. They had a courtyard, and all the villas surround this courtyard. They had a community building, and they have barbecues outside for the residents.

My mom is in Park Senior Villas. I checked it out, and I thought it was good. I feel like my mom is being taken care of there. The staff is caring and accommodating. Her room looks fine. My husband and I set it up with what little things she had. We furnished her with a bed and some other things, and she has a roommate. She has only been there for one week now, and I can't visit her because of Covid. They have bingo, crafts, afternoon walks, manicures, haircuts, and movie nights. They've got a lot of activities, and I haven't gotten any complaints. The only complaint that we have is that we can't visit because of Covid, but that's really not anyone's fault. The room could be a little bit cleaner because I swept it before I put her stuff in there. It's also expensive.

I went to Park Senior Villas - Goodyear. You couldn't see a real unit, there was just an exemplar unit so that's what I toured, not the actual unit itself due to Covid. The layout and everything seemed good. It seemed what I was looking for, in the sense of a smaller environment, as opposed to big apartment-style living. It was very nice. The staff was very informative, definitely passionate about what she does, and excited about the facility itself and what it has to offer. I didn't observe the residents because of Covid, so I was only shown a paper that has the month of December activities, and there appeared to be at least four to five different things each day. Each home had a game room, or spa, or salon. Each home had one of those special rooms. When we're not in a pandemic, the residents can go to each home and utilize those rooms. but right now, whatever amenity or extra room that's in their unit is the one that they'll be using. I wasn't really able to really engage and see an actual home. The common area like the front office was clean.

It is a secure facility, so you need to have a code to get in and out, and it's a really nice location since its close to us. They have a bunch of board games, gardening, walking, gym, theater room, and an ice cream bar. They're bringing in a soup bar, too. There's a chef on site who cooks meals for the people according to their diet. My aunt's room is clean and big. Everybody's very friendly.

It is a smaller, behavioral-based place. It’s very clean and updated, and everything is brand new. The staff came up and introduced themselves. How they interacted with my father when he had gotten there was very good and very personable. They did very well in just a short time.

It was a beautiful facility. The lady who assisted me was very accommodating. The rooms looked good and included a shower in some; other rooms had community showers. The dining area and staff were really nice.
