My mother moved to LifeStream at Glendale. I like that there's somebody there all the time, even though she's in independent living. Their meal plan is amazing. They give them plenty of food, and it's cooked food. Not just processed food. They have a great meal plan. They get a full breakfast, and then for lunch, they get fruit, a salad, soup, and a main course which includes meat, starch, and a veggie. You also get dessert and everything that you can drink, and whatever you don't finish, you can take back to your apartment. They also have a grill so you can get things that aren't on the daily menu like hamburgers or whatever. It's a welcoming atmosphere and the size of the room is great. My mom is in a wheelchair, so it works out well. It's very clean.

I toured LifeStream at Glendale. There were two things, one was that I was not allowed to see a room. How am I supposed to put $300 down to save a room for me that I can't even see to know how much I can put in it? Plus, there was no negotiation as to when I could pay them. The staff wasn't rude. I said, "What does your room look like?" and she said, "Looks like this where we were." There was no bedroom, there was just a room. I thought I would have liked to have visited with some of the people there, or been invited there to have lunch with them or something, but I was offered nothing. She says there's a beauty shop. I wasn't even able to take a tour around inside. I wasn't looking for cleanliness. I guess it looks nice to me from what I saw. She didn't show me much at all. I didn't even get to walk around in the lunchroom either. I wouldn't mind living there because it's very close to my family and the people seemed happy when I first went in. They were all in the lounge area and it was noisy waiting for lunch, I guess. She did tell me something about lunch. I had to buy it. I said, "What if I want to come down and have dinner sometime?" and she said, "You have to buy 30 meals in a month." What if I don't want 30 meals in a month? What if I just want to go down and have a sandwich for lunch? For me, it was cut and dry. It was either this way or no way. I guess that's the way the facility is run.

I toured LifeStream at Glendale. I thought it was a nice community, and I just wish it was closer to my area of town. I like the little window in the kitchen by the sink where you can set plants or decorate. It's a nice touch, because you don't have much area for a garden or anything like that, but you can put stuff in the window. Everybody that I came across was just, "Oh, you would really like it," and the food is good. She said once in a while there's something we don't like, but otherwise it's all good. The staff was very nice.

I had an in-person tour of LifeStream at Glendale. The walk-through was great. It's a little more institutional than where I'd like to live. They didn't have what I needed there. They were over my budget. The apartments were very nice, clean, and well-organized. The staff was a very nice young lady. There's a courtyard and a pool that's not heated. They didn't show me any craft rooms. I saw the dining room.

We moved to LifeStream at Glendale. It's too small. So, that's the only thing, it's so hard to put anything in it, but so far, I like it. Everybody is just wonderful and made some very good friends. They have the appliances. The stove is very small, but they furnish all of that. They have continental breakfast and then they have lunch. They have a lot of activities and then they have a bus. It takes you to Walmart twice a week. So, they take care of you.

My tour at LifeStream at Glendale was fine. There's not much to see. They took me to where they play bingo or where they gather together, or do something together. The staff only showed me the room. The laundry was outside, and I don't know why they put laundry rooms outside almost facing the parking lot. It's outside, and it's not in any kind of room. And there's one laundry available at every end of the hall, too. The pricing is very attractive. Their one-bedroom is kind of small. What I liked least about this community was the meals. They have breakfast only and it's only a short time, only one hour to eat. And there's one meal for lunch and there's no dinner. The building was nice and clean, but I felt lonely there. I didn't see too many residents. They also didn't have too many places for residents to enjoy themselves. They only have a small pool and patio right by the lobby. That's all that the staff showed me.

My sister will be moving into LifeStream at Glendale on June 30th. I like their pricing, and they have independent as well as regular housing. They have different kinds of activities for the residents like they do water activities and all kinds of crafts. They have Bible study. They have bingo and just all kinds of games in this program. The staff was outstanding.

We had a really good tour at LifeStream at Glendale. I put a deposit down. Erica and Colleen were very helpful and very informative. Our tour took a little bit longer than I thought. There weren't any real surprises except for one and it was brought up to Colleen right after the tour, and she said she'd take care of it, so I assume that'll be done when I move in. Erica was great. She covered all the bases.

We toured LifeStream at Glendale for my father-in-law. The tour was nice. They do not have as many amenities as the others we've seen. They do not have a fitness room. I did not see a lot of individuals around. It was quiet, which may be nice. They're remodeling a lot of the apartments and the newest building looks great. It has a modern interior which is very nice. The staff was nice. The dining area reminded me of a hybrid between a restaurant and a cafeteria.

My mother has moved into LifeStream at Glendale. A lot of the places just seem so sterile, but the minute you walk into LifeStream, you don't feel that, you feel positive. All the residents are extremely happy. They're laughing and having a good time. There's a lot of social interaction. They treated us to lunch yesterday. Each day they have a special that they make, but then they also have a menu where you can order very specific things that they have available every day. I had a bacon cheeseburger. My mother had beef tips and noodles. Everybody is extremely friendly there. They're playing kind of an indoor baseball. They were throwing little beanbags in the holes on a board. They had a long list of stuff coming up. It's recently remodeled and very clean.

I like that LifeStream at Glendale is an independent living place, so it gives my dad a lot of free-range, activities throughout the day, and one free meal a day included is in his package. It was hard finding a place that was affordable for us. So, the fact that they had studios available, that made it easier for us to be able to pick them in the long run, because they fit in our budget. When I came there to visit him, everyone seemed very friendly. The residents seemed very welcoming and helpful in trying to answer some questions from my dad. The staff is available for my questions as well. There's somebody at the front desk 24/7 so I feel more comfortable with him being there. They have a variety of meals on the menu as well as standard food that he could get every day if he doesn't like the specials. They can take their residents to the stores at least once a week if you sign up for the transportation. They have a standard schedule of activities, so there are exercises, bingo, dominoes, or a little baseball game. They have sitting areas and a washer and dryer on every floor.

I have moved into LifeStream at Glendale. So far, it's all right. At first, I thought I was in a nursing home, but then the more I met people, the better it got. The staff and residents are all pretty good. They have a salon, a library, and a large sitting area with a fireplace. They have a really pretty pool in the courtyard. They also have transportation, and a free lunch meal and they provide us with coffee. In terms of value for money, I think everywhere is overpriced. Everybody's in turmoil here right now, because they're raising the rent.

We toured LifeStream at Thunderbird. The staff was extremely very professional and very helpful. They listened to our needs and tried to match our needs with their facility. The rooms have been remodeled a little bit more recently. We toured a one-bedroom there. It was a decent size. They had everything in the kitchen that one would need for independent living. The building is a multilevel, it was a three-story. The outside, the exterior. and the yards, everything was very well maintained and very clean. We saw the dining area. It was clean, it looked like it was well-staffed, and it was a little bit on the smaller end. It was a small facility.

Just now, I called on the phone to get information about living there (for myself), and the woman who answered the phone was so rude that I would never ever consider living there.

LifeStream at Thunderbird seemed very nice to the point where I thought I could live here. The apartments were nice. We had lunch there. The people that live there are very nice to talk with and they enjoy it there. The dining room was nice and very open. They had just about anything you want. They have clubs there, they take people places, and they have activities all the time. I liked everything I saw about it, to the point where it made me come home and say to my husband that this is another option for us. It would be a lock and leave, and that's great because we love to travel. The lady that took us on the tour was excellent, very nice, and very informative. The food was delicious. They come and take your order, they bring it to you, and they wait on you. It was all positive. Physically, it looked beautiful and in good shape.

We had a very nice visit at LifeStream at Thunderbird. The gal that sat with us was very knowledgeable and very professional. The facility was clean and there were a lot of activities available for the residents. If I had to choose, that's where I would choose to go or put a loved one. They have local transportation.

Lifestream seemed to be very clean and very neat. They have a main dining room where they serve three meals a day or you'd be able to fix small meals in your own apartment. Everybody seemed to be very helpful and very willing to help as best as they could. Unfortunately, we had some very difficult issues to deal with. My mom has had everything done in a certain particular way or this wasn't going to work, like she is a heavy smoker and there is no smoking allowed anywhere in the property and visitors were, of course, welcomed but they were restricted to certain time frames because the units were all in one main building and if it was at certain time in the evening, and I don't remember what it was but I am imagining after office hours during the week, then somebody would have to go in and unlock the doors and whoever it was you were visiting would have to come and meet you at the door. They had everything from Bingo and poker night to just basic social activities. The one thing that really would have turned my mom on was they actually had a Scrabble night every week. They did special parties and things like that for birthdays, and they had the bus station in Glendale that could take the more independent residents over to Walmart -- which is just two or three blocks away -- and over to Fry's. Their best bus would come to the station and pick them up and take them to do their shopping and everything, and then they return later to pick them up. It had some pretty stringent rules, so if you were someone who works throughout the week and only had your weekends available because of your work schedule or something like that, I could see that this could really make it problematic for family or friends to be able to come and visit; either the residents have to let them in themselves, or they have to get there when there is someone available in the office to open the doors. It is a very closed, locked-in facility.

My mom seems to be very happy at LifeStream Complete Senior Living. The staff is very nice; they are exceptionally good. It's not like a retirement living place; it is nice. The dining area is very nice. They've got like a restaurant, basically, and the food is OK. They constantly have meetings with the chef, and they get to express their likes and dislikes, which is pretty cool. They have P.E where they play bowling and they have exercise, Bible studies or things like that, and there is entertainment. There are different areas of the facility that should be updated, and the one thing that I am concerned about is with my mom's apartment. She's got a studio apartment, which is perfect for her, but the carpet in the room has got a hump in it, like it needs to be stretched. We told them that, and they basically said there was nothing they could do. I am concerned because she could trip on it, and we have mentioned it, but they don't seem to think that they can do anything.
