We were very fortunate to find Cottonwood Village for my mom. It starts with an awesome staff ! Tracie and Avalon were very helpful and made it very easy in getting us set up with a room. Shannon the wellness director does an excellent job overseeing and scheduling my mom's doctor appointments. They really do treat you like family. The rooms are clean and bright and my mom loves the food. I would highly recommend this this place !

I walked into Cottonwood Village, and it was immaculately clean. There was some fresh paint being put on the hallways, so it was a little bit cluttered. But you could see that they were taking care of the place. And the people there were just fantastic, even the residents were very friendly. They had just finished their lunch, and it looked very impressive, and the dining area was immaculately clean. I was surprised; it was nice. We went up to the memory care area. They have a beautiful outdoor patio area for the guests. It's very beautiful and serene. A beautiful view. I was impressed. It was very nice. And even the staff who runs the memory care unit was spectacular. She came to the house here and visited us.

My dad moved into Cottonwood Village. He's from the area, so it was an easy transition being in town. And they have basically tiered care. So, as he progresses, he can potentially move into memory care, which is an important piece for him as he has Parkinson's. He has a 330-square-foot studio. There's no furniture in there, so it's bring your own furniture, which actually worked out well just because he had his own furniture already. It has a small kitchenette with a microwave and then a little fridge and a sink. The staff has been very responsive. It seems like they have a fairly good ratio of caregivers. That would probably be the primary reason. There's only typically one or two people per floor, and so it just takes a little bit longer if there's something, some type of need. But otherwise, everyone is very, very pleasant, very nice. They have a pretty robust activity schedule, which was a selling point, too. There's kind of daily things that they do, daily bingo, and things like that. They change the schedule monthly, so that's definitely a priority for them. And so, they're doing a good job at that.

My mother has moved into Cottonwood Village. We chose it because it was closest to my residence. It is always clean. The people who work there are lovely. They're very kind to my mother. I feel like she is safe, she is being well-fed, and she is being well cared for. Every time I go, which is various times, it's always a very positive experience. I have seen other people participate in activities. My mother has never participated, that I am aware of. She may be doing that, but of course, when I go there, she does not recall. She is on a specific memory care floor. My biggest concern was my mother's safety, and it's a very safe facility. They have a room for crafts, which consists of puzzles, coloring, painting, and drawing, and I have seen other people doing that, which I think is delightful and lovely. I have seen them do exercises. They sit in chairs, and they stretch, and there's someone leading it, and I think that's lovely. They have music playing in their general room, which any of the people can go into. Christmas music has been playing. The place is decorated delightfully. I have seen bingo, not on the third floor, but as I walked to the facility. They have groups coming in to entertain the residents, and they all look delighted by this.

Mom is at Cottonwood Village. We chose that place because it was very clean and the people were very wonderful (they still are). Also, mom's starting to have some dementia and there is an option to go to assisted living and then memory care there. It's not overly affordable, but it was something that we could afford. The rooms are very nice and very clean. They have a little dining room where you can go down and get breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The apartment she has is just one room, but it's nice and big. It has a little kitchenette, a little bathroom, and a nice little view of the park across the street. The staff has been super sweet. They do their job very well talking us through it and even giving us a little deal. They are great. They are very friendly and very helpful. There are two free meals a day and I think if you wanted to pay for a third, it's like $5, but even that, they're really sort of nonchalant about it especially with my mom, eating is not a big thing to her. She's in the independent living and yet they still check on her and make sure that she's eating or if they haven't seen her down at the cafeteria all day or anything like that. It's a nice facility. They have all kinds of cool things going on. They've got bingo, movies, and a library. For people who want to be social and active, it seems like a very good facility. For the amount of money we're paying, I don't see us getting anything even close to it anywhere else.

We chose Cottonwood Village for my father-in-law. He has moved in, and he is still getting used to it. It is a facility that has independent apartments in one part and then in the same village, it also has assisted living, so as things progress, if need be, we can move him to get more assistance and help. He is also very close to where we live. The location is very important because it's close to our house. My father-in-law doesn't have much of an income, and my wife and I are still supporting all our children, so the cost was important, too. There are a lot of things for him to do there. Events, activities, gathering rooms, and church are all there in the same building. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Part of the fee is two meals a day. My wife and I have had dinner there before, and the food quality is good. The portions are small from what I'm used to, but they're good for a senior, and the waitstaff is very attentive. My father-in-law has a studio apartment. It has a small kitchenette, a bathroom, and a large room that doubles as a bedroom and as a living room. Wi-Fi is offered, and he has a nice view of the mountains. The business manager was awesome. He worked with us. He was very helpful and provided all the answers to our questions.

I went to Cottonwood Village. It was not great. The only good thing about it, I guess if people like it, it does have a lot of activity. I was looking at the board, they have all kinds of activities if people want to do that. But the facility itself, I was so disappointed in it for that amount of money. I walked in and it looked old, the carpets were old and worn and the only thing nice about it was, they've tried to impress us with the dining room because it has about six, big, beautiful chandeliers. I couldn't see the effects of the wood because it had tablecloths on them. When she took me up to look at the different apartments, one bedroom or studio, or whatever else it was, I was shocked at how shabby they looked. They looked dirty, the carpets were not good and the little kitchenettes, I looked at those cabinets and they looked like 1930 cabinets, like the old Maplewood, and it looked like they had a coat of varnish or whatever they put on them for years and years. I thought, Wow, why would anybody pay that much money to live there? I couldn't understand if they don't want to keep it up and make it look nice, and then charge less. That would be acceptable, but the amount of money they charge, it's ridiculous. They had chairs scattered around in different areas where you could sit down in the hallways, and they looked really old and the fabric was not good. I don't think they did a bit of upkeep since 1980 or something, so I just wanted to put that out because everybody says it's great. Well, it's not great for the price. Furthermore, she took me into her office to give me some paperwork and talk about it. They had extra furniture stored in there stacked up. The lady that took me around was very nice.

Cottonwood Village seemed to be run very well. The receptionist was very helpful and some of the residents that we saw seemed very happy. They had get-togethers and a fine-looking dining. We looked at several two-bedroom apartments, and it seemed to be adequate, as far as footage. My husband and I used to live in a large house. So, we have a lot of things that we have to get rid of, but it seemed adequate for two people. There's a library, a recreation center, and a van that would take you to the grocery store. You have to set up an appointment for doctors on certain days so they would drive you to the doctor's office if you're not able to drive. They also have walking machines in the exercise room. We didn't tour the outdoors, but we could see it when we drove in and it seems to be kept up fairly well. The facility was not top of the line but it's sufficient. We talked to three different people and they were all very, very well versed in what they were doing. They give you three meals a day too, and the only drawback for me would be was the room we saw did not have a full kitchen. They did not have a stove there, only a refrigerator, so if you wanted to cook anything, you'd have to use a hot plate.

We toured Cottonwood Village. It was great, a lot of information, as a matter of fact, they were doing an activity, and the manager pulled herself out, gave us the time, and walked us to an available unit. We felt great about it and so very encouraged. It was a large room so it was very nice. They had a couple of different styles, it's just when we went to go there at that moment, that's the only unit available to show. There was a courtyard, they do gardening there, and she said they would utilize anything he brings to the table, and she showed us a calendar, they had activities going on every day it seemed. We couldn't ask for anything better.

I'm at Cottonwood Village. It's going real well. My birthday is in July, so we had a birthday lunch for all those having birthdays in July. They had decorations on the tables and everything. It was just really, really nice. The food here is good. They're very concerned, caring and pay attention and notice when anybody's missing. Like, I went for birthday lunch with my family and I didn't go to lunch in the dining hall and I was missed and they sent someone to check on me to be sure I was OK. So, next time I'll know better. I'll know enough to tell them I won't be in the dining hall that day. We have an exercise class every morning, they have a salon, they do hair and they trim toenails, but they don't do pedicures or manicures. There's something going on all the time. Any special days, like 4th of July, we are dressed in red, white and blue and have a barbecue. They have different games every day, they have a walking club, and you can go to church. Sometimes, they serve ice cream in the afternoon. They play bingo and dominoes and they have devotions. You can choose what you want, but I just wanted a small space. I have an efficiency. My family researched and went around all the places in Cottonwood that did assisted living and checked them out very thoroughly, and they found this one to be the best. The staff is very involved with everything. I don't have any complaints. I think the main problem anywhere in the country is lack of staff, so that's possible here as well. They're quite involved in everything, like the manager came to our birthday lunch today. He wouldn't have to do that for half a dozen people having a birthday during the month. I wouldn't think so anyway, but he came to lunch and had lunch with us. They've got almost constant activities of some type all day. On a Friday, they have devotions, piano, a movie, a game, gossip, and a walking club. That's from 9 to 6:30. They do the walking club late in the day. I personally would like a salon or a person that will do toenails. They'll cut your toenails, but they don't do a pedicure.

We're moving my parents into the Cottonwood Village. It was excellent. The staff was outstanding, and I liked them. The facility was very good, and their activities were open even during this time of COVID. They were running all their activities like before, but only for the residents, they weren't allowing outside people in, but they had a full offering of activities. It's very, very close to the hospital and the VA. I haven't tried their food, I heard the food is really good, and they have options. They had two different dining options, and different activity places available. You have access to an elevator, it's centrally located, you don't have to walk long, and it's pretty easy to navigate.

This place smells like sewage. The food was horrible, dining area was filthy and the way the scream at the residents to get out of the doing area. The carpet looked old, activities were ok I thought the employee running it was a resident. Good luck trying to get your A/C fixed when the maintenance is outside smoking all the time. COVID-19 and bed bug hotspot.

We toured Cottonwood Village, but they have no vacancies. It was a nice facility, they have plenty of help, and people were very courteous. The rooms were basic, nice, and you can customize them yourself. It has a shower, a TV, and a closet for your clothes. They have various room sizes, and when we were there people were lining up for dinner. The staff was very professional and very helpful.

I'm in independent living at Cottonwood Village, but I need medication help and at times I need help showering. This is a very friendly community. The only problem I have with it is the average age there is 81 years old and I'm only 65, but the care, the food, everything is excellent. I live in a studio apartment. I have a two-burner stove, full size refrigerator and I have a standard bathroom, but it's all adjusted for people that have handicaps. It has extra bars and fall beeper. They have a library, patio, activities set from 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon, a walking group, exercises and stretching, and church service. The food is outstanding, but activities are set up for senior people and I'm not quite senior enough for them.

We put a deposit on an apartment in Cottonwood Village and my wife and I are going to be moving in shortly. It's very close to where we live right now and we have a lot of friends there. They have 2-bedrooms with pretty good-sized bedrooms, a living room, full kitchen, washer and dryer, and full baths. They serve two meals a day and offer all kinds of activities for senior citizens. The food is good. The place is very nice, clean, and immaculate, and it seems like there are a lot of people helping out.

Of all the places we looked up, Cottonwood Village was the least expensive. They had a bus that comes right to the door and takes you all over town. The pricing was very good and doable. If you have to go, this would be a good place. You can walk to the library, which is right within the same area, and there is the community center for the city with a workout center and a beautiful indoor and an outdoor pool. The place itself is not the large, but the facilities around it are very nice, and the hospital is right behind it, so you don't have a distance to go to anything. You can choose your own people to come in and take care of you if you want assisted living, or they can take care of you themselves. It is one of the most newly built. They are redoing the rooms right now and updating them, and the ones that I saw were updated and furnished.

I visit Cottonwood Village often as a visiting health care provider . The new memory care renovation is beautiful! The memory care seniors seem to enjoy their new memory care area on the 3rd floor a lot. Staff and seniors are very friendly and it is always a pleasant place to visit... I enjoy on site visits with my patients and working with the folks at Cottonwood Village. They put seniors first which shows in a lot of ways. Can't wait to see the finished look of the rest of the renovation project for the assisted and independent living areas..

Cottonwood Village is very nice, and the apartment is very small but comfortable. The staff is very pleasant. My mom has been there for a couple of weeks, and she seems very pleased. My mother is visually impaired, so she can't cook for herself, and they have meal service. The staff is not expected to be tipped and do not allow tipping, which is very nice. They have laundry and maid services and a lot of planned activities. It appears really clean but a little dated and in need of some updating. The staff is very courteous and appear to be very helpful.

I had a positive impression of Cottonwood Village. However, the rooms could be better and attention to detail was needed. The food was very good. The people were very kind, and the residents liked the service and the attitude of the staff. They were doing renovations, so it was a bit messy. They had a salon, a small library, an association with a gym, pool, exercise equipment, and a basketball court. The price was affordable for me.

I did visit Cottonwood Village. I don’t have anything good to say about it. To me, it was more senior homes and not assisted living. The woman who was showing me around had a poor attitude, and I was not impressed at all. She showed me the whole facility, but I don’t remember exactly what was all there because I was so unimpressed with them I forgot what I saw. I didn’t see the dining area, and the menu was very short on what was available. The residents seemed OK. I didn’t really talk to any, but they seemed nice. The rooms were small. Honestly, I have nothing good to say about the place.

It appeared to provide all the basic essentials, was a clean facility, and offered the services that most people would require. I thought it was a bit expensive.

We haven’t moved my mom in yet at Cottonwood Village, but we have been there several times. It is very clean. All the people we meet along the hallways seemed very happy. The managers are excellent in their jobs. We put in a reservation for a room, and the room we’re getting is for independent living or assisted living. They also have a memory care section that is separate. For us, the room is spacious. We’re getting a two-bedroom. It has a little kitchen in which we won’t need to cook much, but it is there for us. There is a nice elevator. There are a lot of things going on every day for people with different interests. There is the main patio, and there are a couple of others. Also, they allow pets, so they have dog places that are enclosed. Parking is set up all around. Wherever you get your unit, you can park near a good entrance, which is very nice.

I looked at Cottonwood Village; it's too big, and it would be too confusing for my husband. He had to be able to go downstairs to eat and for activities upstairs. It's a huge facility, and I don't want him in anything that big, but the care would probably be good. I have a friend that was just placed there, and she never lived with an elevator -- nor has my husband. Trying to figure out if she's going up or down or which floor she is on is just totally above and beyond for her, and that's exactly where he would be.

We went and visited Cottonwood. We liked it very much. It was nice and clean. We were shown two different apartments -- a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom. We met several of the staff there. They were all very informative of what they had to offer and the prices. They gave us a lot of information to bring home. I would recommend them mainly because of the cleanliness and the variation of help that they had. In other words, you could stay in the same apartment whether you needed assisted living or more than that. The hospital was across the street, and they had transportation to larger hospitals in case you needed it.

My parents were at this facility. When placed there, it was one fee, then they "assessed" them and raised the fee! An outrageous fee for the services they say they provide. When we took them away from there...a mere five months later as we all disliked this place and especially the director...there were dirty clothes in the washing machine, in the dryer, laying in the shower and in a clothes basket! There was an area rug in the shower, so obviously they were not being assisted with showers. The whole apartment smelled of urine! If they were cleaning as they said they were, this would not be the case! We are very glad they are no longer there and would not recommend this place to anyone...ever!,,, do not put your loved ones in this facility!!

Very nice community. Good people. They were very helpful. At this time, the couple I'm helping is not ready to go into Cottonwood Village, but I would recommend it. We were looking at a one-bedroom, and it was certainly spacious enough for two. They had two meals a day. They had transport to doctor's appointments and outings to shopping and different entertainment. They should improve on their marketing; they need to listen to the client and not try to push for placement.

We placed our mother at Cottonwood Village last November. It's right down the street from where my mom lives, from where we lived before. She's pretty acclimated at this point. Her room has a pretty view of the mountain, so she's happy. It's pretty small and it took us time to get used to, but it's laid out very well. And she has a very nice bathroom which is larger than what she has at home. She loves the food. She goes on some of their little trips and special parties, and she might help out in the little bookstore or in the store in the facility. They sell gum and stuff. They keep her busy. The staff is wonderful.

In visiting this facility I enjoyed the grounds and garden areas. While wondering around in the garden area I noted a resident and a staff member sitting on a bench talking. They looked up and stated that I could sit there also and they scooted over to make room. They said that they were not discussing anything private that I would overhear and therefore intrude on the facilities policy of privacy. As I sat there looking about, I heard them discussing plants and gardening in general. It seems that the gentleman had once owned a nursery and was very knowledgable about plants and care of plants. the staff member was not only listening in a polite manner but was encouraging the resident to reminesce over his knowledge and past life experiences, she would ask questions that showed that she was genuinely interested in what the resident had to say. they were thoroughly enjoying their time together there in the garden. It was a very pleasant insight for me to see that staff members did care about the residents and wanted to learn more about their former lifestyles and knowledge. A very positive intake on how an elderly person is regarded and treated.
