We were blessed to have our brother in sunrise senior living. They worked with us on getting him in with short notice. The facility is nice and clean. They took excellent care of my brother, he was always clean, his clothes didn’t smell, his room was always clean. He was very happy there. I would recommend this facility for your loved one. No worries at all. Bobby E

We chose to move Mom to Sunrise of Chandler because of the speed at which we needed to move her. They had the availability and were able to accept her so quickly even for the short, quick timeframe we had to move her. The facility looks nice. It has all the different amenities. It just doesn't have an exercise room or a fitness room, like for physical therapy, but it has all the standard amenities. The rooms look clean. It's nice. It has enough space for the residents. The staff is very nice and very cordial. They listen and they're understanding. I've been able to look at the meals and they are good. It's not like a five-star quality, but it's good. They are preparing it for each individual's dietary needs so they take the time to make sure that they have the cholesterol-friendly ones and for the diabetic ones. They are engaging them, too. They have the balloon volleyball to help get them moving and they have different workshops like arts and crafts. The one that I saw recently in the morning was they have them move their arms and legs as much as they can, for those that can, like a morning workout. Right now, they're short of staff. Some of the staff is friendly, but the staff is a critical part of it because you're in a caregiving facility.

Sunrise of Chandler was the best one we've decided if my grandmother's going to go there. The tour was awesome and the staff has been there for a long time. It felt so comfortable there, it wasn't like a nursing home or a medical center, it's a good place. I even got to talk to the people that were living there while they were doing some crafts, and it was really good, I appreciate that. If I could rent out the room myself, I would. They were nice. I have a friend that's looking for a place for her mom, and I told her to go look at Sunrise. The place itself is immaculate.

I toured Sunrise of Chandler for my dad, and I thought it was very beautiful. The place was clean, it didn't smell, and had big open areas. It was just a very nice facility. I was impressed with that. The staff is very friendly, and the gal that showed us around was very informative, she gave us a lot of information that we could use to make decisions. She showed us the menu and told us that we were welcome to come and have a meal any time we wanted to.

I visited Sunrise of Chandler. It was fine and a very nice facility. I didn't really meet any staff but a housekeeping person she was fine. Pam, the gal took us around on the tour. It's all one level which was nice. It was clean, seemed friendly, and convenient to locations. They offer services to their residents that would suffice your needs. We could only tour the assisted living part, but we could not do the memory care.

Sunrise of Chandler's building is gorgeous, the facilities are great, and the staff is really good. Sometimes they're short-handed, but that's universal with that kind of industry. My husband's room is light and had windows. It was a 2-bedroom place and had a little bit of a kitchenette. The bathroom was very big with a huge walk-in shower. It was adequate. I was very pleased with the facility and the care provided.

Sunrise of Chandler's layout was awesome. It's all on one level, so there were no stairs involved. The upkeep was very nice. We had the best communication and the person who helped us was so nice and informative. The dining area looked great. The place looked absolutely awesome to me and had so much to offer.

I like Sunrise of Chandler much better than other communities. I would have put my friend there in a heartbeat had he been able to go into assisted living. It was good. The person who helped me was very knowledgeable and made me feel that they could do the job.

I was very impressed with Sunrise of Chandler’s dining room, menu, and everything they had to offer. It seemed to me like they keep their patients well hydrated. There is always something there for them to drink. They engage with their people. Somebody was there telling stories, and residents interact with each other and with them. The one-bedroom and two-bedroom units they showed me were adequate and very nice. They had a very nice kitchenette, a beauty salon, laundry services, and a non-denominational service every week.

Sunrise was smaller, the people were friendlier, and it had a welcoming environment. The dining room and rooms were very nice. The scenery outside was good.

I wasn’t that impressed with Sunrise (Sunrise of Chandler). The layout is all OK, but it is more of an assisted living. They followed up with me and invited me down to have lunch with them. I haven’t done it, but they said, "Come on down and have lunch with us so you can visit us" so I could see what they’re eating instead of just looking at a menu.

Sunrise of Chandler was too elaborate for my mother; it was kind of out of her league. It just seemed very classy and would not have been a good fit for her. Although excellent, this probably would have been my last choice.

My sister will be moving into Sunrise of Chandler. It is a beautiful place with a very professional staff. I cannot even tell you how much I like that place. We have looked, and it stands out from all of the others in this area, especially in the memory care, which we are interested in. The staff in the memory care is far and above the staff in other facilities. I'm relieved and happy when I visit it. I know when I leave, it is where I want to place my sister. They have lovely rooms, though I will not say spacious. In comparison to other places, the rooms are probably similar in size. They are lovely, bright, and have lots of sunlight coming in. It is very nice. The whole facility and the common areas are lovely and bright. There is just a great amount of happiness. I have never heard so much laughter in a memory care unit. It is amazing to walk in and hear that. As far as what they do for activities, I do not know other than having seen their calendar and observing the people there. They seem to be very engaged. It is a different style of staffing. Each memory care person has a case manager assigned to them, so, there is a lot of one-on-one, which is what I am most impressed with.

Sunrise of Chandler seemed really nice, but more in the assisted living than their memory care. The people in the memory care made me uncomfortable just because they were at a much worse level than my dad. We actually put a deposit down there, and it was quite a bit more expensive than where my father is, but I like it as well. There were lots of engaged people. They seemed to have lots of activities scheduled for the people who live there in the assisted living section, like outings and such. The rooms and the hallways were homey. There were lots of places where people can sit and read a book or to look out on the grounds. It was really pretty. The people seemed really friendly, and when we visited, they had a resident dog, and they had a cat in the memory care.

They are very nice people, and they seem to be very caring. They have a lot of staff at Sunrise of Chandler, and it is beautiful. The room is perfect for what we have. I like the shared room which had a wall in-between, so it makes it feel like it is two rooms. The food is very good. We are in the memory care unit, so we are not on the assisted living care side. They do painting and planting, they have music, a dog that comes around, and quite a few different things that they try to do with the folks there. They are very good to us.

Sunrise is very beautiful and very appealing. She showed us the cafeteria; it was restaurant style. The building was very clean. The people there were very friendly and very helpful. The studio rooms were spacious. Even if she would have had to share a room, there was a wall barrier just like 2 bedrooms so that was really good. I like the idea of taking my sister out into the patio. They had puzzles, socializing, bingo, and various card games. They’ll take them outdoors for a stroll or to a mall.

I visited Sunrise of Chandler several times. I had a positive reaction to it; it had a homey feeling. It’s also a smaller community with a lot of rooms. People are often active; they have activities to stimulate people. And that impressed us. The staff was very accommodating, they made us feel welcome. However, they’re not as willing to accommodate on dietary needs, and the rooms were smaller. It only had a bedroom and one window.

The people at Sunrise were very friendly. There was an activity going on when I went, and the residents had smiles on their faces. You could tell that they were being taken good care of. Of all the places that I visited, Sunrise was my favorite place. I think it is the benchmark in this area. If I was able to put my husband there, I would do it. They would be my first choice. There was no smell, and that's good, and it had a homey feeling to it.

I visited 4 or 5 facilities, and they were all good but the one I liked the best was Sunrise. The staff was very professional and nice. The living facility was also very nice. The people who lived there looked clean, nice, and well taken care of. I am very impressed with the dining rooms. It was nice that my mother could stay until the end if she wanted. The overall picture was very good, and I liked the way it was appointed. It reminded of some of the places that I had been through back east, where I was from.

The facility is well maintained and absolutely beautiful. It is more like a family home than a "nursing home". The facility did not look too big from the outside, but once inside you see how well it was designed. It is very roomy. The resident rooms were quite a decent size. The staff were all friendly and seemed really care about the residents there. The interaction between the staff and residents was very nice to see. Everyone had a smile on their face. While I visited there were activities going on, and they had a quartet performing. I believe they have daily bingo games as well. There were two dogs that lived there, which I absolutely loved to see. However, if someone is allergic or afraid of dogs, this is probably not a good place for them. Overall this facility is at the top of our list if we should need additional services for my mother in law.
