Pennington Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Care is a very nice, clean facility. Instead of a la carte they offer different levels of care, which makes it more affordable, and actually budgetable compared to other facilities who nickel and dime you for different things. My parents moved in there. They have very limited activities right now due to COVID, and they just opened up dining. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable.

I toured Pennington Gardens. I went to their assisted living, but they also have memory care. We went up the elevator and then we walked past a balcony that looked down into an activity room and everybody was looking at us. I leaned over the rail and I said, "Anybody down there play Bridge?" They said, "No, none of us play Bridge, but you can teach us." As we walked down farther, the woman said, "A lot of those people are from the memory care unit, so they may not know if they play Bridge," but it was very nice. The room was bigger and it was a little unusual. The closet was in the living room and there was a kitchen, more or less, instead of just a refrigerator with a microwave on top of it. There was no stove, but I liked that place. I think I like that place better than I liked the other one. The residents were having coffee in the activity room. I saw one man in the elevator, but I didn't see anything going on in any of the other rooms. There was no one in the library. There was no one in the game room or the puzzle room.

My mother-in-law moved to Pennington Gardens. Her room is just the right size for her. They have several activities like Bingo and music. The staff was great, really nice, and helpful. I've eaten there once, and it was good.

My relative has lived here for 4 years. She lived in other assisted living facilities, but the food or care was always lacking. This place is heaven on earth. The staff is attentive, turn-over is very low and the management is responsive and extremely competent. The owners are very sensitive to residents needs and the facility is well maintained. There are abundant activities, a movie theater easy and secure access for after hours visits. Most of all they CARE. The last place she lived in, which was in Tempe, had horrible food and the care was extremely sub-par. This place has a trained chef on staff. Can't say enough. Have recommended this place to 3 people who put there name on a waiting list. The room layouts are fine. What you want is excellent care by staff who care...

I really didn't like Pennington Gardens. I really thought that their website was deceptive. Looking on the website at the floor plans, it looked like they had cute little apartments. But they were hospital rooms, basically, with a partition in the middle. I thought online seemed much nicer than it really was. I'd say that you'd definitely need to go and look there in person. Don't go by the website, because if you look at the floor plans on the website, you think what you're going to get is totally different because it's more of a nursing home. I would not call what they call their independent living apartment. It was just like one room with a bathroom, and they put a little refrigerator and sink in the room, and in the middle it had this awkward partition. If you look on their website, it looks like it's an apartment with a living room and bedroom. It's not. They were nice, but I couldn't help but notice that there was a woman sitting in the lobby who definitely needed her diaper changed. They were polite, but I just really felt like I didn't trust things there. I think they should be more honest on their website about how the apartments are, instead of showing a floor plan that looks like it's really an apartment. I think they should show actual photographs of what they actually provide.

We visited Pennington and we didn't care for it very much. The rooms were too small. They weren't set up the way we like it to be done. The rooms that were shown were not suitable for us. They were not able not show the other part of the building because they only showed us the place for long term insurance.

We chose this facility for my mother because my mother's not ready to go into dementia care but she's starting to show signs. This facility is the best in making sure she remembers to do things. They bring her down to social events and it's a lot more like care giving even on a level one. The staff is incredible. Food is good, it's not the best or the worst I've seen. The rooms are very nice and they keep them tidy. They had activities from card games, bingos to exercises. They can improve on their time eating dinner, four o'clock is too early to eat dinner.

This facility is a very nice 2 story building. They have 85 residents. They have a lush flower and green small courtyard with paths, sitting areas and a patio with bbq grill. The inside decor is nice with various decorations and very clean. they ave a hair salon and the beautician comes twice a week. The apartments are studio, one bedroom. and two bedroom with partial kitchens. They have a formal dining room. They have a very good variety of food and ir is very good. They serve 3 meals a day and snacks. They have a house doctor who comes in and on call. They akso have an LPN 5 days a week and on call. They have 35 certified caregivers on staff. They do 2 levels of care, They transport to appointments and outings. They have an activity director. They have lots of indoor activities as bingo.cards, exercises, current events, movies, sing-a-longs, parties, birthdays and outside entertainment. They go shopping twice a week and outings to museums, movies, and other events. This is a nice well maintained facility. The staff is caring and residents clean and well cared for. They have lots of activities for residents. The only draw back i can see is that if a resident becomes to degenerated, they cannot stay there or move within the facility.

My mom lives in this facility, and we've been very impressed with the care she's been receiving. The staff is friendly, his daily needs are met in a timely and high-quality manner, and Mom seems happy to be there. The staff alertes us to health concerns promptly. We feel confident that we've chosen the right home for Mom and would recommend this facility to other families."

I found this facillity online looking for Adult Day care for my mother in law with Alzeheimers. She loves it and it's easy for me. A little on the high end of our budget.
