Clarendale of Chandler is a lovely facility. There is senior living, assisted living, and memory care. My in-laws are in the assisted living. It's very clean and the rooms are very well taken care of. The staff is really great. They are very helpful and informative. They learn the residents' names and call them by their name. We're very pleased. Their food is very good. They have a lot of activities for them. They have games that they can play, an activity room, and an art room. I've seen the residents playing cards there. They also have a bridge club and residents that play domino games and kinetic bowling. They just started water aerobics, too.

The Clarendale of Chandler had good floor plans and storage within each unit. It had all the good things, but it was slightly less affordable than the other place. The staff were friendly and hospitable. They were very nice staff. They had onsite activities available and then they also had local experiences, museums, theaters, and different opportunities for day trips. However, they do not age in place, but within the community, they move from their unit into an assisted living unit. It's just a different section within the community.

Our experience with Clarendale of Chandler was good. When we got there, the receptionist was warm and friendly. The girl who was supposed to be giving us the tour had called in sick that day, and she told us that someone else would be giving us the tour. We only waited maybe 10 minutes and the lady came and spoke with us. She was knowledgeable and she knew exactly what we were looking for. She was very helpful. The rooms in the independent living were nice. I called my stepmom and told her we were very, very impressed. The problem we're running into is that independent living and assisted living are two separate facilities. The independent living apartments were beautiful, but if she has to go into assisted living, the apartments were too small. She's 90 and she's going to end up in assisted living, which would call for another move. Clarendale of Chandler was a very, very nice facility. The dining room was very nice. It was very upscale and it did not appear institutional and that's what we're looking for. The gal who gave us the tour commented that they're three years old, so it's all new residents and everybody was extremely friendly. I observed that just as we were walking down hallways to tour apartments and look at vacant apartments, people were talking, saying hello to each other in the hallway and to her. The help was very warm and friendly to everybody, which was nice. I was impressed with that. The staff during the tour was very nice, very polite, respectful, and not doing us a favor kind of attitude.

Clarendale of Chandler was amazing. The people were great. It was a beautiful facility. They were very welcoming and kind. They addressed all of my needs and questions. They were open and they seemed to care about what my parents needed at the time. They showed me the independent, the assisted, and the memory care. For independent living, you bring your own furniture, but the appliances are there, a washer, dryer, dishwasher, and microwave. You can bring things to make it home. The staff during the tour was professional, informative, and kindhearted. They offered the whole family to come back and have a meal, but the food looked delicious. They had a courtyard, an exercise facility, a movie room, and a craft room.

We are at Clarendale of Chandler and we have a nice two-bedroom apartment that we're sharing. The staff is very helpful. It's only about three years old, so it's very nice. I like the swimming pool. I swim, and it's a very nice pool. We have three meals a day in the dining room. There are bus trips to various shopping areas. There's a beauty shop, an exercise room, and lots of planned activities. They're friendly. I think it's too high priced though. There are two dining rooms, one of them is quite large, the other one is smaller. It's used more by people in assisted care that could come down to eat in the dining room. The upkeep is good. It's very clean and well kept.

My husband is in Clarendale of Chandler memory unit. He's only been in there for a couple of weeks now. So far, they've been working well with me. The other place he was in was just a little bit far from my home. I like Clarendale because it's a little bit closer, so I could get over there more often. Both of them are shorthanded. It just depends on how much attention that my husband is going to need. It's very nice and clean. I've eaten there before. They have a menu, and it's good food. They just hired a new activity director, and she starts at the end of the month.

I toured Clarendale of Chandler and the sales director was very friendly and thorough. All the meals were delicious, and we can order meals any time of the day or have them delivered. The people were very friendly. I talked to several residents, and they all just loved living there. It's only three years old, so it's nice and new. The price was reasonable. I like that the doctors come to you. For instance, if you need an X-ray, they have a portable X-ray machine and they come to you and take it; you don't have to go out to the doctor. I like the location. It was surrounded by lots of shops and stores that would be convenient. It was also very clean. The amenities were wonderful. They have house cleaning once every two weeks, a washer and dryer in the unit, and they have an art room. They have a nice gym, and classes for balance yoga and different kinds of things. They have a very good library, and a pool, which I wanted and was one of my main things.

Clarendale of Chandler was huge. It's like four or five stories, but it was a little farther away. They have separate memory care, which is on the first floor, and the girl who toured us was excellent, Tracey. She came out to talk to me and said they had two openings right now and they do respite. The place was clean and nice. When you walk in, they make you sign in and they print out a nametag for you, so they know who's in the building all the time (which I thought was good). They had a beautiful dining room and Tracey said that if you ever wanted to eat there, you could. They also have a pool, activities, and everything. I didn't see that many residents, though, compared to all the other three places I've been to. I only saw a couple, but that's about it, and maybe a couple more staff members.

We toured Clarendale of Chandler. I really, really liked Tracy's professionalism. She was really thorough with me because I went down the list of what Caring.com suggests to use as checklists. She gave me everything I needed, and she showed me the one-bedroom unit, which was really nicely staged as a model. It was nice. It's nice because it's almost brand new. I think they started building it two years ago, and it's almost across the street from us, so I know it's brand new. Everything looked really nice, like the wide, spacious hallways and the dining room. They really excel in the types of activities they have. Once a month they have someone come in to test their hearing and get them fitted with hearing aids, which is a real good bonus. The room in comparison to what my mom got is like 100 square feet less space for about the same price. Interestingly, they won't let assisted living residents live on the first floor, they have to be up on the second or third floor. They had some independent living and memory care on the first floor. Their elevators are nice and big, but she got a thing about it. I saw their menus. I was there around 4:00 to 4:30, and everybody seemed really, really happy in the dining room. It looked like fine dining, and it smelled really good.

A place for the active and spry Senior Clientele. Staff is attentive and they very much cater to every need. Staff listens and considers suggestions. There is a great deal of caring and compassion within the Clarendale community. There are activities and something going on for 6 + hrs a day- if not more- and there is a vast, endless variety of things to choose from. The residents smile here. They get along like family and there is no meal missed. They eat together, pray together and stay together. The price is very comparable as many amenities are included. The nice part is that when the time comes to move to a level of more support, it can be done within the same complex of friends and 'family'. Still with the chance to continue to pray together and stay together.

Clarendale of Chandler is less than two years old, so everything is practically new and beautiful. I just liked everything about it. I like the fact that all the appliances in the apartments are all pretty new, and it's all up to date. I like the menu options that they offered, and I need to get someplace where I could be fed, because I'm not taking care of myself properly. Everything was beautifully done, beautifully appointed, and wonderful. It was very nice, clean, and fresh. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and introduced me to everybody that we met along the way. They were very, very friendly and I liked it. They have a large pool, and their other areas are well kept, maintained, and beautiful.

We had a great tour at Clarendale of Chandler. It was built only 2 years ago, and I thought the finishes were nice. It was OK; it just didn't blow me away. The food was good. They had movies, crafts, happy hours, and games.

Although my parents had a rather short stay in assisted living (and an even shorter stay in memory care), my parents and I appreciated the interaction of staff, excellent food quality, and design and cleanliness of the premises. I understand that staff is encouraged to engage residents in order to foster open communication and a sense of well-being - this was the view of my parents and myself as well whenever I interacted with Clarendale employees. Clarendale's professionalism, courtesy, and care are the words I find most descriptive of my parents' stay.

I visited Clarendale with my father in March 2021. We were very pleased with the room layouts and amenities. My dad is an Army Vet and was able to see Veterans enjoying breakfast in honor of their service. He was also very impressed with their “Honor Wall”. During our tour we were privileged to meet many of the staff and got to speak with them. We also got to talk with several residents that gave exceptional feedback and obviously enjoy Clarendale. Every staff member that we met were very friendly and we could tell that each one absolutely loved their jobs. We even got to meet the Chef and thoroughly enjoyed his food. Overall, we are very impressed and would highly recommend Clarendale.

In our consideration of moving to a Senior Living Community, we found there were several we could choose from. In our first encounter, with the Sales Department at Clarendale, we felt welcomed. All the staff we were introduced to were friendly and answered all of our concerns. A year later we still feel comfortable with our decision. This is home!

My husband was in Clarendale of Chandler. He got moved there into their memory care. He should not have been in their memory care and I could not convince them otherwise because I was in the hospital at that time and my daughter needed a place to put him and it was like on an emergency basis. Hospice and the social workers helped her choose a place, and it seemed like a nice enough place, but they weren't meeting his needs properly, and some of the caretakers there were downright not nice, and it was further from my house. I want someplace closer, and a little more accessible, and a little more cost effective. They got a doctor diagnosed him with undetermined dementia, so that he would qualify to be in the memory care, and they didn't ask us. They just put him in there and some doctor down there that we never heard of gave him that diagnosis, so they could put him in there, and that's another reason why I pulled him out of there. I have no idea about his room. They would not let us go to any of the rooms. I saw just a little bit when he took a couple of pictures with his phone. I could see the room slightly. It was a small studio room, had no closet, he had a small wardrobe to put his clothing in, but basically it was just a very small studio type unit. They started doing hallway visits, but it was like a little utility hallway off the back of the building that we could visit, and one time it wasn't available, so they let me visit him in the dining room. It was just a small dining room with not very many tables in there. It looked decent and clean, but I was more interested in talking with my husband than looking around and seeing what the dining area looked like. Basically, you couldn't get past the front door. They took care of him and they did him OK, but they lost his glasses for a week and a half. They found them, but when we moved him out of there they lost his hearing aids. He had some good caregivers that he liked, but he had some that he said were downright mean to him. One of them broke the screen on his phone, another one yanked up his tablet out of his hand once because she said it was too loud and it was too late at night and he should not be using it. Another time after dinner they left him in his transport chair in the hallway and told him that he needed to exercise and should make his own way back down to his room. He was stuck there for a little while until somebody else came along and moved him down. I complained and I think they just assumed that because he's in memory care that he doesn't know what he's talking about and that their staff is all good. They wouldn't believe me because I was getting my information from my husband and they wouldn't believe him. I didn't hear too many complaints about the food down there. They gave him the pineapple and watermelon that he asked for the constipation. I never saw what the inside looked like other than the front entranceway. He did get to bingo once in a while, but because they had very few people in their memory care unit the really didn't have much activities. They had an activity director who did crafts with them, but most of the time he was on his own working with puzzles or just going to the TV room. I was paying their highest level for memory care and he did not need it, and there were people in their memory care that required more work than he did and yet we were paying the same price that they were paying. We were not getting our value for our money down there at all.

When my mother first moved in the food was good, activities were ramping up and it appeared this was going to be all that they sold us on to make the move. However, within the first couple of months, the food and the service times in the dining rooms were terrible, often waiting 1.5 hours for food orders that were standard menu items. When inquiries were made the were so many excuses so often that is became a joke among residents as to what was the excuse of the day. The food is still no better and it has 9 months. Now we add COVID and all of the services and amenities are not available yet they are still charging the HUGE price tag every month. The greater concern is the lack of enforcement of safety requirements for the residents. Many residents congregate in community spaces without masks or social distancing. Complaints have been made to only get the response.. They can't enforce them to wear masks or social distance because it is their home too. No sir.. their apartment is their home. This is shared community space. Their failure to enforce the basic requirements in shared space is unacceptable!!! Do not allow your parents to move here if you care at all. Maybe after the virus is under control but not till then.

We have lived here for 4 1/2 months and intend to be here in the same room or in assisted living or memory care. We have found our new home. The concern the staff from the General Manager to the maintenance crew to the dining room staff show they treat us like family. We feel like we are home. Considering the stress every one is under with the virus that is amazing. We can only say thanks. Ron and Jean

Clarendale of Chandler had very nice buildings. They had the meals. As far as activities, I wasn't there long enough but it looked like they had something going most of the time. We have selected Clarendale of Chandler. The visit is nice, but very few people have moved in yet, so it is hard to describe things yet. It is a brand new building. The apartment is very nice and roomy enough for us. The staff members are very helpful and attentive. They have everything that we want. They have a workout room and a pool.
