My mother moved into Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa. We chose it because it was not as crowded as the others, it still looked new, it had RNs on staff, and the employees seemed to care about their residents. Her room is very nice, and it's a living room with a bedroom. The dining area is nice. They have exercise, puzzles, tours to different places, and arts and crafts. It was very business-like, everything's clean, and no smells or anything such as some that I've been in. It's very nice. All of them are too expensive, but compared to others, their value for money is good.

They now let the dementia patients reside among the non dementia residents . While this may be consisered beneficial to the dementia residents , it is certainly NOT a positive to those who still have their wits about them . We pay big bucks to keep our family member here, to be safe and secure . There are multiple incidents where residents intrude or inappropriately wander into the private rooms of others , scaring them or otherwise being a nuisance, and sometimes meddling in or stealing things - because these individuals wander around unattended . This needs to stop . We are not paying all this money so our family member can babysit others .

Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa seemed adequate. It was an institutional type. There's a lot of security around there and all the doors were locked, so that was something that I was not interested in because my mom is more independent. As far as the facility goes, for the people that need that kind of facility, it's OK. The employees were very helpful. They took all the time that I needed. They have a salon, a community room, and a little courtyard. No pool though.

I toured Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa. It was a mix of assisted living and memory care. I liked it fine. The lady that showed us around had only been there for three days. My husband would probably have a bedroom and bath which is spacious enough. I didn't see any issues with maintenance. They did have some rooms that were not ready yet, but I guess that's to be expected. Residents were doing exercise and using a ball and it looked like they were having a good time. The dining area was very nice. At least a year or so ago, I went to a meeting over there and they served food and it was very good. The place was very nice, clean, and well decorated.

I have chosen Morning Pointe for my parents. It's beautiful and very clean. The staff and administration are all very caring people. They seem to actually care about not only the residents, but the resident's families, too. My parents got two 1-bedrooms that are adjoined by a door, so each has a bedroom, a bath and a living area, but they could go back and forth between the two. They've been there just a few weeks right now. I haven't tasted the food, but from what I hear it's wonderful. It's a good variety, and the residents get to choose. They have some activities, but with the current Covid situation, it's very limited right now. Before Covid, they have arts and crafts, games and outings. They're happy, and everybody seems to like it. Before I put my parents in there, I was able to speak with a couple of residents, and they liked it and they seemed happy there.

My mother-in-law was at Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa for a while. I last visited three years ago. I really love them. That's probably my favorite place of all. They said they would try her in the assisted living for as long as they could and they kept her there as long as they could, but she hadn't settled in with her dementia yet. She was constantly up and calling the nurse around all during the midnight when she was trying to give medication and stuff. I just said she had to go over there to the memory side, which was true. I can't believe they kept her as long as they did. They did very well with her over there at assisted living. I ate there a few times, and I was doing a lot of activities with them myself. I would go and play and taught the ladies how to play dominos because I was trying to keep my mother-in-law active. I really liked the inside of the facility.

We visited Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa, and from walking in, there's a friendly atmosphere. Just looking at it, it's nice. The floor plans are similar to the other place we wanted to. It's not that big of a community, but we like the layout; it's comparable. The difference that I found is that the base pay is one amount, but then you had to pay extra for cable, phone service, and it's not all-inclusive.

My visit at Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa was OK. The rooms were small, but the food was better in comparison to my current community. The staff members who assisted me during the tour were OK as well. Value-wise, I would chose the place I'm a resident of currently over Morning Pointe. Their cleanliness and the facilities are very nice.

We visited Morning Pointe. The staff was helpful, they really reached out to the family, and they had activities that bring family members in. They provide training classes, and awareness, like elder-care law. The rooms we looked at had a nice view outside, but the bathroom is a fall risk and needs improvement.

I thought Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa was favorable. One thing that bothered me was I don’t shampoo while I’m in the shower, and I like to have a sink that I can use. Their sinks there are really small, and I don’t know how I would manage to get my shampoos if I had moved over there. The only thing I remember that was unusual was the putting green, but I’m not a golfer. The food was very good. The help was very professional. I saw some folks that I knew were also residents there, so it was a very pleasant experience for me. As far as I know, the residents are very happy.

I visited Morning Pointe. I only saw the dining room and the library. The staff was very friendly. I didn’t see very many residents. The community was very bright and painted with bright colors.

Morning Pointe was the one I had picked out for my father. I really liked the building and the staff, and I liked that it's just about a mile from my house. I liked all of it; what I saw was very nice. The rooms were of a nice size with the sun coming in through the window, and pleasant. My daughter has taken her children there for Halloween. They do trick-or-treating there, which is just really pleasant and nice. It's clean, sunny, and nicely decorated. The people at the desk were really helpful and kind, and one girl, Tory, was very helpful. We really enjoyed working with her. Inside, it was really pretty, but it didn't have as much going on outside.

We visited Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa. It was very nice, and the staff was very helpful. They fed us a nice meal. The amenities appeared to be about average, and they seemed to have a good recreation program. We liked the place very much; it just didn't satisfy our needs.

Morning Pointe is clean and looks new. It's a well-kept facility with a dementia unit. The fellow that owns this facility has a good reputation because he actually owned a private-paying nursing home in Tuscaloosa, which got blown away by a tornado a couple of years ago. Morning Pointe is well-staffed. Its location is in a very, very nice section of town. It's on a river right across from the University of Alabama. It's only 4 miles from my home. The living environment is high class. The apartment we saw was semi-private. It had a kitchenette, a bedroom, a bath, and a small living area. The dining room was very elegant, with chandeliers, linen table cloths, china, and crystals.
