I only wish that I could provide a "HALF STAR" because me and my family member had a HORRIBE, TERRIBLE experience. The atmosphere was creepy. The staff seemed to be CLUELESS when asking questions; as well as TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. My family member wasn't even in that facility 24 hours before he was screaming "take him out of this facility". DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY TO THIS PLACE. In all honesty this facility needs to be SHUT DOWN!!!

Knowing what I know now I would have never taken a family member here. The rooms are small for 2 people and the food is horrible. Depending on where your room is located in conjunction with the kitchen your food more than likely will be cold by the time you get it. If you need help feeding yourself you may starve by the time someone gets to you. Physical therapy is a joke, they wheel you down to a room and basically expect you to perform; that's if they ever come for you if you are unable to roll yourself down. The nursing staff are overworked and probably not paid much. The medicine distribution takes forever as there is usually one person and meds may not get to a resident in a timely manner. If you are able you need to visit your loved one as much as possible because if they see no one comes to visit--that patient will not get the best of care. The rooms and bedcovers are grungy--the building needs to be refurbished from end to end...room has water damage to ceiling and we were on the 1st floor so no telling what went on upstairs. Bugs and ants were present. Overall if I could give them a negative score I would. But what can you expect when the owner dumps his own mother there one time and never visited. There is always a vacancy in this place and now you know why.

Just horrible!!!!!! Our relative was transferred to another facility because of the neglect from staff. His belongings were missing but we decided not to make a big deal about it since he was leaving. If you have family here, please reconsider.

I’ve recently visited GH with a friend. The top floor is very different from the bottom. The bottom appears to be “throw aways”. I personally saw 2 patients naked from the waste down sitting in wheelchairs in the halls. The place smelled horrible and looked worse. How can this be?

Rooms are dirty, need a new housekeeping staff. My mom didn't receive any activities because she stayed in bed by chose. They put wheelchair residents on liners and sit in wheelchair all day till next shift comes,so yes they are soaked.Dont want Ito give out wipes and diapers but we paid all this money.Mom said she saw rats running across her floor bugs in the bed.C.N.A 's are the only one that shows compassion and seems to really care.Front offices staff are horrible.

We found Glen Haven Health and Rehabilitation for my grandmother. It's not a mansion. There are some things that could be improved. Number one is I don't think they've painted the place in years. When you walk in, it feels more like a hospital than it does any place you really want somebody to be living. That's one thing, and we've had issues with some of the staff not brushing her teeth for a few days. They haven't washed her hair and they never told us that you've got to put in money like a little bank account for her. She's got where she can't get up on her own anymore, but I don't want her laying there without her teeth being brushed, that's just not sanitary. I was pretty disappointed with that part of them. The food isn't a five-course meal, but she's got to where a lot of her taste is gone, so she doesn't fuss. The staff is a mix of good and bad. One thing they're not working on is making a fortune, but they could at least try to put on a show, smile more, or be a little more receptive there. COVID has freaked them all out and you don't walk in in a HAZMAT suit about to go nuts, get all pissy. It's just, there's some work that could be done. They keep the place clean. You can smell that they're constantly disinfecting it. From what we're paying, there should be more. It needs improvement. It's $6,300 a month, and people there should be getting a lot better treatment for that kind of money.

My brother seems happy at Glen Haven Health and Rehabilitation to the extent that he can be. We can only see him for 20 minutes a week and only two of us, which I dislike, but I understand that it's either a short time or none at all. My interaction with the nursing home is only with an aide who brings him out; I can't rave about it or complain about it. He seems serene, but he doesn't tell us what he eats or how the nurses take care of him or anything like that because he can't. It's very expensive.

Hateful and Rude office staff as you enter the door. My mother is dying and on hospice. I usually go at lunchtime to see if I can help her eat, since she does refuse to eat at times. I am approached at the door with hatefulness and contempt. This is a very stressful time and I just do not need to be treated like a criminal when I try to see my dying mother. The nurses and most of the CNA's are great, but they just can't make up for the disgraceful way I am treated when I enter the facility.

The head person does not really care. Staff do what they want. Not clean, rude, don't care. Do clean patient well. Need training starting with the head person in charge.

My sister is in Glen Haven Health & Rehab since early March. It was recommended by some people at the hospital, they reached out to her, and they seemed to be very conscientious. She did therapy for a while, and then she had to go back to the hospital and was in ICU for a while. She hasn't started the therapy up again since she has gone back, but I have confidence that she is getting good care.
