My aunt ended up moving into Stoneridge Villas. It was a newer construction and extremely ADA-compliant. They had lots of handrails and access to wheelchair-handicapped parking spaces. They did it right. The application was easy. The staff was there to help my friend fill it out and help her coordinate her medical benefits and things like that. There's an activity center. The apartments are very spacious. They do everything within the community to make it feel like home. They decorate for the holidays. It's very festive driving into the community. The staff is very helpful and responsive. My aunt moved here from California, so they did a lot of coordination and things from California over email and fax and things like that. The staff is responsive and very amenable to my friend. It's independent living, so my friend has her own kitchen, so she cooks her own meals. The building and the grounds are very clean. It's laid out nicely. If they have a wheelchair walker or something like that, they have all the access ramps that they need. Everything is conveniently placed throughout the apartments and the bathrooms and things like that. They have activities. They do activities programs twice a week at the activity center. They have book clubs and things like that. It's worth what she pays.
