I visited Gardens of Hazel Green for my friend who needed assisted living. I thought it was very nice and very well-run. It was a small place but they had activities for the people that live there. I was pleased with it but they were saying that my friend had to be able to get herself to the dining room to eat, and we didn't know how she would react to her chemo yet. They've updated half of their facilities and it was very nice. They're in the process of updating the other half. All the ladies that we came across during our visit just loved it there. It was a strong and very active community. We only interacted with the manager and she was very informative and very helpful. The rooms were basic with a bathroom. They weren't fancy, but they were nice. It was a small facility but they had a courtyard in the middle. It makes a round or rectangular area, and they have big rocking chairs for everybody to sit and rock on the porches. I thought it was very pleasant.

Gardens of Hazel Green was very, very, family-oriented and very clean. All of the residents that were there liked it. It was a good place and had my loved one qualified, that would be the one that we would have picked for her. They were very friendly, very helpful, and always looking after the residents that were there. You would have peace of mind as well that they would be well cared for. The kitchen all looked very, very clean and very well organized. The facility looked excellent.

Gardens of Hazel Green was nice, but it was small. It didn't offer a whole lot and it wasn't very convenient for us. It took us at least an hour to get there from here, so that's too far. It was almost lunchtime and we spoke with the administrator and the residents were coming to eat their lunch. So, we saw the dining room, which was also so small. There were only four dining tables with four chairs at each one, but it was very nice. The people were very friendly. One of the residents led us to her room and the bathroom was nice.

Gardens of Hazel Green is a nice place. The staff are courteous, nice, and seem to be caring. I tried their meals; it was good. I didn't do any activities while I was there. I talked to the staff. Everybody was courteous. I have nothing negative to say about any of the stuff that they did.

I liked everything about the Gardens of Hazel Green. It's kind of out into the field, so you could sit out and just look out to the nature. They had a wonderful courtyard and the food was good. When I got there, they offered me some coffee and a homemade banana pudding. So, I thought that was very nice. My uncle could have had his vehicle there and he could come and go as he pleases. The room was very nice and they were very helpful. They took me on a really good tour and gave me all the information that I needed to know. They had a salon, a beautiful dining room where you could eat your meals three times a day, and it was just a clean environment. I visited a room with a lady who lived there and she seemed very happy, too.

At Gardens of Madison, the staff was very nice, and everything was clean and organized. I didn’t see any red flags. The food looked adequate, good, and tasty. The staff said they take trips. They had an exercise room and board games. The rooms were clean and small.
