I moved my 92 year old uncle from his home of 60 years to Covenant Place last year. They took incredible care of him the year he was in their care. They provided his meals, cleaning, laundry, continence care, medications, etc. They even helped get him to his appointments when I was unable to leave work. So much of the caregiver burden was eased for me while he was in their care. The staff really goes above and beyond with care and compassion. The communication was always top notch as well. Not once did I ever feel left out of the loop. Their activities director, Jillian, is an absolute gem! I largely credit his happiness there to her and her efforts to encourage and include him. I cannot say enough positive things about our overall experience!

My mother lived in Covenant Woods' memory care for 3.5 years until her passing. She was loved and well provided for. The staff was excellent, attentive, helpful, and well cared for. The administration was wonderful to work with and truly cares for their residents and employees. Living out of town, it was a relief knowing she was in such a wonderful place with wonderful people! Highly recommended!

This facility is better than great. I am a nurse, so I have closely evaluated the care my mother has received. I would give them an A+ in all areas! I NEVER thought my mother would get back to her old self but now she functions even better than before. She has made friends & loves the staff. She is happy! Personally, I didn't believe such competency & professionalism existed in an assistant living facility. But I was wrong; it's in action at the Covenant Place in Gardendale.

I visited Covenant Place of Gardendale. They were wonderful. The guy that I met with was the nicest human being I've ever met. He walked me through everything, told me everything, how they handled Covid, and how they handled the people. He knew what I wanted, and he was very attentive to everything that I asked and was very kind and considerate, as were all the people. Even the people on the virtual tour were all nice, too, very helpful, and answered a lot of questions. I wouldn't hesitate to have put my mother-in-law there if it hadn't been so expensive. I talked to the people that assist the residents there, the lady who provided medicines, and the lady who provided the activities. Every single person was fabulous. The facility was beautiful. The outside, the flowers, the garden, and the places where the people could go and see it were just gorgeous. They kept it up well. It looked very clean. I was completely impressed. They showed me a weekly menu and everything was good and the guy even told me that all the people love the food. They had painting, singing, and exercising. They said they would take them on outings.

My mom lived in Covenant Place of Gardendale for about five years. It was very good. She started out with a small apartment and she lived there for about four years and then she fell twice. Because she is 101, they wanted her to be able to stay there. They had a vacant room in one of the bigger rooms that was close to the nurse's desk, close to the cafeteria and close to all the activities. They asked us if we wanted to move her up there, so she wouldn't have this far to go because she ended up in a wheelchair. They did not have to do that, so we appreciated that a lot. They were very good. They had a van and once or twice a week, they would take them for a ride, then they would stop and get ice cream. It was up to the person whether they want to go or not. They always had things at night, at least once a month or so, they had a themed night like for Mardi Gras where they would have parades and for Mother's day, they would have a banquet for them. They had a lot of stuff, and they were always doing something. We had no complaints. The food was good, too. They're not cheap, but they're reasonable. She had to pay for everything. She got no help from any organization or anything, so for that, I would say it was good.

My client has moved into Covenant Place of Gardendale. The staff is very professional and friendly. The facility itself is very clean and offered an excellent level of service. The food is good and the location was a primary factor. My client's husband is living at home and its a reasonable distance for him to visit his wife. Her room is fairly large and it seems like they have the opportunity to provide their own furniture. The room can accommodate a bed, two chairs, a dressing area, a closet, and it has a bathroom. I was very impressed with it and the resident has been really pleased with the services.

V Very beautiful and clean. We really enjoyed our visit, however the dark haired young woman at the front has a bad attitude. Other than that we had a pleasant time and very good food, music, and games.

Covenant Place of Gardendale was a nice facility. The rooms were neat and simple. It was secure. Basing it on the other people that I have known that have used it, they were very pleased and happy with the care that their parents got. The staff were all friendly. They all seemed very attentive to the patients that were there. I would recommend them.

The admininstrator of Covenant Place is caring and thoughtful. The place is kept clean and the residents are kept active. It is in a great location and very easy to get to for family and friends visiting a resident. There are also numerous restaurants in this area that I can take my great aunt on outings to. My only concern about this Covenant Place is that some of the staff aren't friendly enough and don't communicate well about the care of my great aunt.
