This social day care program meets 6 days a week and is designed to meet the special needs of older adults who are living with Alzheimer's disease and related forms of dementia. Our mission is to enhance the daily lives of our participants and to provide support and needed respite for their caregivers. Activities are held in a bright, spacious room with an adjoining patio and garden overlooking the children’s playground. The ARC program prides itself as being a home away from home for their participants. In a warm, supportive, family-like setting, attendees enjoy programs set up in a Montessori style, which focuses on using and strengthening a participant’s individual abilities and skills. ARC members take on various responsibilities during activities, which increase self-esteem and give each member increased control over their day. Aides and companions welcome. Scholarships available. The Memory Center provides Senior Adults with mild to moderate cognitive impairment a place for educational, recreational and social programs in a stimulating, safe and therapeutic environment. Our highly qualified staff understands the importance of designing programs that will challenge our participants, enhance their lifestyle and maintain their highest level of independence while providing much needed respite for their loved ones. Daily activities include: discussion groups, music, art, exercise, current events, word games, entertainment, holiday celebrations and much more. A hot, nutritious meal is provided. Family support is offered to caregivers through our collaboration with Jewish Family Services of MetroWest. Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays (register for 1, 2, or 3 days per week) Hours of Operation: 9:30am-3:30pm Cost: $70 per participant per day. Limited financial aid available.
