I would have liked the aides to be more attentive to my wife. They were supposed to complete a list of things and check her every couple of hours. Only one of the aides was proactive in doing those tasks. The aides were not punctual or professional.

As far as transportation I have no complaints, but there was a little bit of anxiety about the arrangements being made. I wasn't sure I was going to have the transportation until the last minute.

It's some companionship for the client and she isn't demanding a lot. We hoped that this would be provided with a way to get out to the store or other errands but this particular caregiver doesn't have a vehicle. She's perfectly fine and mom loves her to death. We are hoping to get more feedback as to what the caregiver is seeing when she is there and it seems like that is kind of impossible. I asked to speak to the caregiver and I cannot do that so I don't have a good way of contacting the caregiver for her opinion and no one from the office is calling to tell me how it's going.

I've been using Care Advantage - Charlottesville for more than two years now for my mother. They're sending a lady into her home to assist with the everyday things, keeping the house fixed up, and keeping an eye on my mom to be sure she eats and takes her medication. They also take her to run errands, which is very helpful as far as the family is concerned. The one she has now, I like her a lot. She's on the younger side, but she was very cooperative with the family, which I think is important. She will reach out to me. I got a text from her today. We text back and forth if something's going on or if it's just something she wants me to know. We've gotten comfortable now with each other. She has only been there maybe three months because we had a couple of turnover situations. My mom is not an easy one to handle, and she seems to be able to so far at least sidestep, and handle my mom fairly well. I like her because she stays in contact with the family to see what's going on. I've had some discouraging moments with Care Advantage though, but it's better now because the girl has come and communicates with me.

It's very uplifting for her. The young woman who comes is always punctual. She has a great rapport with my mother, who can be a difficult person. She is thorough in everything. She just goes above and beyond. She is very observant. She's just really great.

It is a tremendous help because I am simply not able to do everything, so this enables me to stay in my own home. They could have better responses to phone calls and notices from their employees. When my caregiver calls off, they don't notify me.

They wasted my time. I lost all the time I waited for them to come, and the time I took educating the supervisor that came to talk to me and give me all the paperwork. They seemed very sincere, but it was a waste of time because it didn't work at all. I would not recommend them. They could do what they promised to do, like in any contract. People that need Care Advantage need someone to do the work and not have to stand over the caregiver and make sure they don't leave.

I'm very physically restricted, so my caregiver does whatever they can to make things easier for me. They're a good conversationalist too, so that takes some hours away. I like their quick responses. They always seem to be there when I need them.

They sent a nurse to assess the situation and then they sent an appropriate and good caregiver. I like that everyone at Care Advantage is competent, kind, and knowledgeable.

They could have had a great impact on my life by being more responsible. They were rude. One caregiver left me in the kitchen alone and refused to get the medication I needed. They could have cared more. The attitude of the caregivers didn't seem like they cared about me.

It is exceptional to have a stranger in your home that I can get acquainted with. It is nice to have someone that can help me go to the doctors and the grocery, basically everything that I cannot do anymore.

It was a little difficult to coordinate the schedule and my mom's appointments. It would have been easier to schedule if they could text or email. The person they sent did a good job and was experienced. It was a real comfort to know that someone was there for two hours a day. It was a help for me.

I called and requested to have someone take me to the doctor's office because I had a procedure I needed to get done and had to have someone drive me home. I called the office, and they wouldn't get back to me. I called them twice. My daughter had to take off work to take me there and back. I want them to return calls to the clients that are relying on them. That is a concern of mine, I have recommended them to several people, and the caregiver who comes to clean is very reliable and does everything that I ask. Until now, it was excellent.

I think we've had some really good care providers and it was a good experience. I was given security of knowing my mother was taken care of after her surgery. The caregivers were good about helping her with her memory exercises.

They lack communications between themselves and me when no caregiver is unable to come. Also, when someone new is coming for the first time, I am not informed. I can't even go to the bathroom because someone might knock on the door. I thought someone was coming today so I woke up early to see if someone is coming but no one showed up.

I would recommend Care Advantage because the two young women who came were friendly, well-mannered, and willing to help. I just had them for one day. The service helped me because one of the caregivers made me lunch and wash the dishes.

Care Advantage didn't have any caregivers to care for my mother in our area and I wasn't satisfied with them. My mother's caregivers did what they were supposed to when they were there for her. There were some times that Care Advantage didn't have any caregivers available to show up for my mother's shift.

Care Advantage had some people who were very caring, but we did have some few issues. The service does require staying on top of things. You really need to pay attention to make sure things happen correctly. Care Advantage had someone who could stay with the client overnight. That brought us peace.

Care Advantage is timely, and they're always able to get someone anytime I ask. I just don't need a lot of help so the service doesn't really help medically or anything.

Care Advantage sent a great caregiver out to us. We were happy to see that the company was going to be able to do what we needed, but none of it worked out in the end. When the caregivers actually managed to come out, the services were fine. However, Care Advantage didn't inform us when the caregivers weren't going to be able to come to the house.

I would tell a friend that Care Advantage is a rip-off. I've had three different agencies and I haven't liked any of them. I would like Care Advantage to encourage the nurses to spend more time with their patients. They were very sub-par.
