I'm very satisfied with the service being provided by HeartsWay Hospice of Northeast Texas for my husband. He has an aide that comes and gives him a bath twice a week. He has nurses come twice a week. He's doing so well. He had a little bit of blood in his ear, so the nurses came right out to check him, and I'm very satisfied with the service that we've gotten. There is a chaplain that comes out. They come out every two weeks for reevaluation. The aides and the nurses are very good.

Heart"sWay Hospice took excellent care of my grandmother and my mother-in-law. Both died peacefully, pain free, surrounded by family at home. We could not have asked for a better experience. The nurses and the rest of the staff were so caring and compassionate and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. I would never use anyone but Heart"sWay Hospice

HeartsWay did a really good job. Really good people and they took good care of my mother. They really help people to be comfortable.

Heartsway hospice cared for my aunt during her final days. The nursing team provided excellent care for her. I was appreciative for their kindness and compassion not only for her but for our family as well. The nurses were a phone call away and were prompt to respond to our needs. My aunt had a peaceful passing, I am thankful for all of the support, education and time the Heartsway nurses took to help us through this. With a grateful heart, I definitely rate Heartsway hospice as a 5 and would recommend them to anyone in need of hospice care.

When we needed these people during my mother s final hours, they were not there. Apparently they did not have enough staff. After hours of calls, with no help arriving, they finally admitted that their hospice care people were all with other patients. The nurse assigned to my mom was on vacation. So my mother died in pain. Completely inexcusable. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO BE THERE WHEN YOU NEED THEM MOST. My family s experience with them was truly awful. They were great in the beginning, when trying to earn our business. And I imagine they collected money from Medicaid. When we finally had an ambulance come (because Heartsway wasn t coming to help), Heartsway responded (to cover their butts legally) by wanting me to state that they were no longer responsible for my mothers care. They DID finally arrive AT THE HOSPITAL, after my mom passed, for us to sign some legal release. DO NOT USE THIS HOSPICE CARE. You will regret it and have to live with the pain that my family continues to endure because of this company s incompetence.

About HeartsWay Hospice of Northeast Texas in Longview, Texas
In 1983 members of the Junior League of Longview, employees of the Longview Cancer Center and Good Shepherd Medical Center and other concerned individuals from the community banded together to investigate the need for hospice services for the terminally ill in Longview and the surrounding area. With a start-up grant from the Junior League and many hours of work by committed volunteers, Hospice Longview, Inc. was founded in 1984 as an independent, non-profit, community based hospice which is governed by a board of community leaders and health care professionals. We served our first patients in April of 1985.
In recent years, we discovered that our original name, Hospice Longview, had regionalized us in the minds of many people. From the beginning, Longview has been our home and always will be, but as we look forward to reaching new goals and dreams for our organization, we’ve decided to give ourselves a new name as well. Heart’sWay Hospice of Northeast Texas will continue a 25 year tradition of caring for those who invite us into their homes to assist them in their time of need. Our name is Heart’sWay because the care we provide comes from the heart.
Heart’sWay Hospice of Northeast Texas is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. All gifts are tax deductible. We are fully accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program, ensuring the very best quality of care. We are members of the Texas and New Mexico Hospice Organization and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
