When we first started with the agency the client couldn't move or speak, and the caregivers talked to him as they did things and would let him know before they do anything. Now the client can move his hand a little bit. I have great support from them because my husband is bedbound, and he can't speak but the caregivers' skills are amazing and they are so gentle and personal with the client.

We have had two or three representatives sent to us. One is very good. They come in on time and leave on time. They help my wife out and take care of me. When your elder has a change of condition and this agency pulls together a care plan while you are out of town, we knew our loved one was taken care of. They provided trained personnel, LVN did check ins, and owner Sandi provided constant contact with us. In this crisis we were overwhelmed and the agency took the tasks needed and completed them successfully. Our worries were eased knowing he was taken care of with compassion. RAHNWH even helped with Hospice and relocation options. Want to have someone care for your loved one as their own. This company is it.

My loved one isn't very sociable to begin with and they have a pretty sedentary life. It depends a great deal on the care that is needed. Different patients react different ways. They are pretty expensive, but I don't know how other agencies are.

Finally I was introduced to Right At Home and what a wonderful surprise it was. Their caregivers are wonderful and took great care to make my wife as comfortable as possible. It has had a wonderful impact because the caregiver treats him with kindness and is always reliable. Four days a week we have a caregiver who is reliable and compassionate. We tried to get another caregiver for the other days, and they told us they would send someone to evaluate and then get back to us. They sent someone who was horrible and had a bad attitude. There has been a lack of communication from the office. After I called and asked that they not return, they informed me it would be a week before getting someone else. Then, someone else showed up and we were not informed that they were coming.

I have had 8 no-show sitters in the last 3 weekends, and they do not even call me back. They say they are getting their messages but no one ever calls me back. I asked for the schedule, and I got a no-show and I am wondering if Right at Home is going out of business because I am appalled by this. I am at home taking care of my loved one, and it did take a long time to find the right fit. My problems arose when they started to not show-up after that. Three times they have sent 2 sitters at the same time, and they have also sent very incompetent sitters.

The service from Right at Home is pretty good. They do what they say they will do. There are some times when the caregivers are a little bit early, but that's good. The biggest complaint I have would be that they send me a schedule of when the caregivers will be there, and they have trouble getting the right number of people needed to provide the care. There are some holes in the schedule that don't get filled until later. The caregivers from Right at Home do the washing when necessary, clean the dishes, and seem to look at the client in a good way when taking care of her.

Since I only use them every 2 weeks, it's difficult to have the same caregiver, but I have been satisfied with most of them.

We used Right at Home for my family member with Alzheimer's. Our initial consultation with owner, Sandi, was very informative and it helped guide us with options of how Right at Home NW Houston could help. It was delightful that care giving was set up based on the need of our loved one. It was very peaceful to see the genuine caring nature of the employee. All calls to the office were handled immediately and all appointments were promptly achieved and on time. When our loved one passed, Sandi made several inquiries to just check on us. This company has a true and given nature of compassion and integrity. When the need arises again, we will definitely use Right at Home NW Houston with no doubt and in confidence in this company.

Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.
