In 2023 we engaged Home Instead in El Paso, TX (which later joined with Honor) to provide care for my father who was suffering from Parkinson's disease with dementia. We started with just a few days a week of support, then his disease progressed and we moved to 24/7 coverage for him. The staff treated him very well, the leadership was responsive, and through their team's work with him he was able to remain at home until his final days doing as much as he could of the things he enjoyed, which was exactly what he wanted. We worked with Home Instead for over a year and have tremendous appreciation of all they did for our family!

We hired Home Instead - El Paso, TX for my mother. We wanted assistance with bathing and getting her organized, as far as the events and appointments that she had, and needed to go to. We want a reminder for medication, to make sure that she's taking her medication daily, any meal prep that she wants, if she wants something cooked, we want them to cook it; companionship, and to drive her to any errands or events. We have two excellent caregivers, they sent us three, and two of them she really seemed to get along with. I talked to every one of them. They seemed to be efficient and professional.

My mother-in-law had dementia and we called Home Instead, which allowed her to stay in her home until almost the end of her life. We appreciated each of the caregivers so much. They worked to keep my mother in law as happy as possible, comfortable, fed, and clean. Her wish was to stay in her home as long as possible and Home Instead allowed that to happen. My husband and I are so grateful to the special caregivers who give so much of themselves to make someone else's life easier.

We were fortunate to have Home Instead caregivers help us with the care of my aunt. Living out of state was difficult for us to manage her care with the onset of dementia. We wanted to allow her to remain in her home, but it would not be possible if she were alone. We contacted Home Instead and they made all efforts to find a caregiver that was a good match for my aunt. We started out with the minimum care of four hours per day and increased hours as needed. A few times we ended up with 24 hour emergency care. That occurred during an emergency in which Home Instead worked very hard to provide 24 hour care at a moment’s notice. There was an event in which one caregiver saved my aunt’s life. She noticed that something was definitely wrong and got her to the hospital right away. We had multiple caregivers (shifts) who always communicated with each other regarding my aunt’s care. At no time was she left alone, as a caregiver always stayed with her until another one showed up or my aunt was safely out of ER and into her room in the hospital. For over five years we have depended on the staff at Home Instead to help my aunt maintain an excellent quality of life. This included preparing meals, light housekeeping, outdoor activities and almost daily trips to church, not to mention the numerous car rides around town. They did so much more! They were always able manage doctor appointments, take her and relay results to the family. The last five years of my aunts life was more enjoyable, stress free and fun because of the caring personalities of her caregivers, her companions. Yes, we did go through a few because sometimes things just don’t work out or personalities clash. But Home Instead always worked with us to make sure she had the best care possible. When my aunt health devlined and she had to live in a skilled nursing facility, we continued with the care from Home Instead. They were the eyes and ears for our family because we were all out of state and always let us know what she needed. They were familiar to her in a strange place and having them there during the transition gave her peace of mind. Communication was always open between Home Instead, the family and my aunt. Home Instead reminded her daily of many things in her life and helped her write a daily journal. Sadly, my sweet aunt pased away Sept. 2023, but her caregivers will remain a special part of our family. We are forever grateful for their help and devotion . We highly recommend their services.

The staff at Home Instead in El Paso is wonderful. They are very diligent when caring for my mother-in-law. She has dementia and needed help at home. The girls kept her occupied while taking the time to learn about her, things she enjoys doing, etc. The caregivers also helped to keep the house clean and safe when they were there. The staff was good about keeping us informed about anything unusual happening at home. We appreciate them very much!

The staff at home instead are amazing. They cared for my father during his last month with us. He had just moved to El Paso and instantly was treated like he was family. They always arrived on time and were helpful and friendly. When my dad had to go to the hospital and then back home for hospice care the home instead team was right there with us. They made a difficult time bearable.

The care givers came every morning 6 days a week and helped my husband get up in the morning, took him to the bathroom where they helped him change his disposable shorts (he is incontinent) and get dressed. Two days a week they gave him a shower. After getting dressed they took him to his chair where they gave him breakfast. They also helped him with physical therapy exercises and they were very kind in speaking with him and listening to all he has to converse about. They arrived on time every day. They were kind to me too and helped me when I needed help. Whenever I call the agency they are kind and always listen to what I say. I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone who asks me

When I interviewed this provider, the representative was on time for the appointment , and prepared to answer questions. She listened to my needs and identified the right caregivers - which became a team of 4 caregivers supporting my mother. During the first week, the representative arrived with each caregiver and provided an introduction and an overview of the needs and expectations. It’s my first experience with this type of service and provider and I was very pleased.

The main purposes of the care givers are to assist with meal prep and light duties around the house...and provide companionship that ultimately helps improve communication capabilities.

Very professional office personnel. Best we contacted re dealing with long term insurance. Home health care people could be better trained, but that type of help is difficult to find.

We have had very good experiences with the girls they have sent out for my parents. Not all have been a good fit, but doesn't mean they haven't been good! And when they haven't fit well, Home Instead staff has been very kind and understanding. Great experience all the way around!

Piece of mind with second to none service at all levels. My mom needed a few weeks of post hospital care to help with recovery until she got back on her feet. I researched Home Instead as an option after talking to the hospital case manager. I was very skeptical of all the rave reviews, doing my own due diligence to confirm their reputation for caring for a loved one. Home Instead is the real deal and every interaction was professional, friendly, assuring, and they were always immediately responsive to questions. They knew our needs better than we did. They accompanied my mom on walks, helped with laundry, took her to the doctor, reminded her to take her medicine, set up the shower and stood by ready to assist her. I live out of town, so I relied on them to be by her side when I couldn’t and my sibling returned to work. I can’t say enough on the care they provided my mom; and the piece of mind know she was in good hands. I plan to recommend them to family, friends, and, if needed, use them again in the future. It’s stressful enough to care for a parent and trust is paramount when you can’t be there to care for them yourself. I’m truly thankful for all the staff and the team of caretakers who made it possible for mom to have a speedy recovery. They were there for us every step of the way. Thank you!!

Home Instead Testimonial I was looking for some help for my mother as she was getting more frail and unable to do the things around the house as she used to. She was 93. I do not live in El Paso and I wanted someone to be with her at least part of the day. I called Home Instead because I had heard of them where I live. We decided to have someone come and be with her for three hours a day. Melissa was the one who came most of the time. I have nothing but praise for her. She was good company and very responsible. One day Melissa was coming to work at my Mom's as scheduled. The door was locked and she could hear my mother yelling. She realized that my mother had fallen, so she called 911. My mother had fallen several hours before. Had we not had Melissa coming I don't know what would have happened. When my mother went to the hospital and then to rehab, I had Melissa visit her everyday so we could keep tabs on her. When she was released we decided to have 24 hour a day care. The ladies who came to be with my mother were very professional, kind and caring. I got to meet most of them on my visits. It was a relief to know that someone I could trust was always with my mother. Several of the ladies, I came to find out, were from the military or in military families. I think this was reflected in their reliability and competency. Their help in my mother's last year was a blessing. Thanks to Melissa, Tiffany and the others whose names I unfortunately do not remember.

It has been a almost a year since my father's passing. My mother, who was a nurse in her younger days, provided my father with loving care at home. However, as his condition declined we knew we were going to need some extra assistance. We visited with the Patton's from Home Instead and they knew exactly what we were going through. We started with a little help and as time went by we were able to ramp up the coverage as needed. The caregivers were always prompt, professional, and gentle with my dad. This was the most difficult period of time we've ever gone through. There are no words to describe how much these folks meant to us. Simply put - I don't think we would have survived without them. Thank you and God bless.

My Dad had terminal cancer and my Mom has severe dementia/Alzheimer's. Dad's wish was for them both to stay in their home. Home Instead granted that wish for them. The caregivers were so patient and understanding, even when Dad got grouchy and Mom did not know or understand why they were there. Mom needed total care since she only had use of her right arm. They lifted her, cleaned her, dressed her, fed her, changed the bedding and many other things Mom needed. The caregivers grocery shopped and cooked for Mom and Dad, and they ensured that the house was kept clean and sanitary. My brother and I live out of state, but I came down every month. The caregivers even helped me when times got tough at the end of Dad's life. I can't say enough about the people at Home Instead. The caregivers truly became a part of our family. Thank you so much for allowing Mom and Dad to stay in their home and for treating them like they were your Mom and Dad. Also, thank you Brandy for always being there for me. You all are the greatest!

I can only repeat what’s already been said about professionalism, kindness and efficiency of the Home Instead team. Even though my mother’s situation changed rather suddenly and I had to discontinue home care, Brandy stayed in touch with me and advised me about my options and the choices I had for the future care of my mom. If you are looking for home health care or just companionship for your elderly family member, I most sincerely recommend Brandy and Home Instead to be a reliable source for excellent caregivers and accommodating scheduling.

Home Instead has been a blessing to our family! Most of the time, we had the same person work with my mother. To say she was amazing is an understatement. She was kind, patient and treated my mother like she would her own family. We also felt comfortable with any other staff person that came to work with us. Our family frequented changed the schedule, and Home Instead was always flexible and able to work with our changes. My family had true peace of mind to know that our mother was being lovingly cared for and respected. I would definitely recommend Home Instead!

We have Home Instead coming in Monday through Friday. We have two different caretakes, split up for two days and three days. One of the things that I was looking for was someone who speaks English because we live in the Borderland. This particular agency requires their workers to read, write, and speak English proficiently, so I'm really happy with that because my parents don't speak Spanish. I really have liked working with them and haven't had any problems. The caregivers are genuinely concerned with the type of care they're giving my father. I meet with them every morning before I go to work, and we discuss anything that needs to be talked about, and what's going on with them. We're still a work in progress, but everything seems to be working good now.

Absolutely the best. Being faced with the unexpected challenge of having to find a care provider for my father from a distance was quite stressful. However, Sam, Brandy, and their staff at Home Instead definitely eased that for me through their professionalism and genuine kindness. If there is one thing I am sure about it is having made the best choice or my father.

We have used this service for over a year. The owners are wonderful people. The companion who came to our house was energetic, helpful and my mother really enjoyed their visit as they would help her with her exercises, take her out to the backyard for some sun, and keep her company. They were also very generous bringing her flowers and presents.

Very helpful! The caregivers that helped our mom were wonderful. Hours that they worked were difficult and each person did a great job of keeping an eye on her after her hospital stay. We were worried about her not being able to bounce back after her surgery, but the staff kept her following her required plan.
