My father has now passed away but I wanted to take the time and thank everyone who helped us through his hospice care. Not at one moment did we feel alone and lost. All staff, social workers, nurses, chaplain, etc. were courteous and gracious. They were all so proficient and kind. Everyone we came into contact with were genuinely caring, supportive and concerned. Everyone who came to take care of my father was professional and compassionate. We were always reassured about doing the right thing in regards to the medication he needed to make his transition more comfortable and peaceful. We were always asked if we needed anything and we felt very supported. Even two weeks after his death, we are still getting calls asking if we, his family, need anything. I sincerely and highly recommend Hospice Plus to any family or loved one who needs these services.

My father lasted 2 weeks on the terrible care provided by hospice plus. The nurse was so absorbed in her own life she never really offered any comfort. She insisted she felt we were family and that she was the best in her field yet forgot to order pads and medications. Her main concern was trying to hussle a table she wanted from my home for 30 bucks. The care giver didn't speak English and refused to clean my father's nails even though nail care is part of the care plan. They never changed a single diaper only seemed to want to keep him medicated. On his final day the African nurse who spoke no English as well, offered no assistance just stared as my father painful gasped for air. Each one of these people should be fired and not allowed to work in health care. This company shows no compassion and made the last 2 weeks and final moments of my father's life stressful. I still have the image of my father gasping for air as he passed burned into my mind

Have heard so many positive hospice stories from others - our experience with this provider was far from wonderful. In the less that 2 weeks period my wife was at home they never seemed to have the correct supplies and/or equipment on hand, the staff was offended when questioned about why they were administering certain medications, and the chaplains/social workers/grief support team was and has been non-existent throughout this process. Some of the staff seemed more interested in keeping my spouse unconscious thru medication instead of keeping her comfortable and allowing her to interact with family while she could. All of the promises made at the hospital prior to discharge to their care went unfulfilled except for the one thing I am thankful they did manage to succeed at - her pain was kept under control until she passed. I absolutely would not recommend this company as they caused the surviving family members more stress and anxiety rather than helping at this important time. If there had been time to switch companies we certainly would have. As I expected my complaints to the company and referring hospital have gone unanswered.

Hospice Plus was wonderful for my mom (and me) while she only had weeks to live. They took care of my mom the entire time up until she passed away in her bedroom here at our home. The staff was wonderful, every one of them that we met. The care they gave my mom wasn't just a "job" to them, I felt it came from their heart. I could tell they cared a lot for my mom. I will never forget the primary nurse we had and on one night towards the very end. She drove in the middle of the night at the end of her shift from her last visit with another client quite a distance away. She basically helped "me" during a bad trauma I was going through and brought a chaplain with her that helped me deal with things. This was a very special night that I will never forget and I'm so glad they were here. That same chaplain took the lead at the memorial I had for my mom after she passed. There were many times I depended on him afterward. It wasn't just the care they provided while my mom was alive, it was the bereavement services they gave me after my mom passed. On a very regular basis they called me to inquire how I was doing this went on for about 2 months. Then there were letters of encouragement along the way that lasted for over a year. They sent a special letter on the 1 year anniversary of my moms death. I "highly" recommend Hospice Plus and I hope you get the same care we did if you use them for the services.

I can't even express how wonderful and caring Hospice Plus was during the last weeks of my mom's life----on the day of mom's death the chaplain Jerod and the nurse were there as long as we needed them---it was like they were angels. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Liz Hendricks

Mom is under hospice care and we are using Hospice Plus. The aide comes in five days a week Monday to Friday to give her a bath and change her bed. The nurse comes once a week and the caseworker comes about every two weeks. Then mix in there, they also have the religious pastor who is associated with Hospice Plus comes in. I am very happy with them because they get along really well with my mom. They are very attentive and nurturing. Mom looks forward to them coming. I recommend them to others.

They did a very good job at what they are supposed to do. They helped me with my wife and I appreciate that. They did a better job of contacting me after my wife's death than I did them because I was out of town but they left a lot of messages on my answering machine.
