THIS PLACE IS A JOKE.MY MOTHER WAS A PATIENT THERE CAME WITH A FEEDING TUBE.ONE DAY I NOTICED SHE WAS NOT BEING FED. I ASKED STAFF WHAT WAS GOING ON. WAS TOLD MOTHERS FEEDING TUBE HAD FELL OUT AND DR. SAID SHE COULDNOT TAKE ANOTHER OPERATION TO PUT BACK IN/HOW DOES SOMETHING FALL OUT WHEN YOU ARE LAYING ON YOUR BACK. SO I WENT HOME CHECKED ONLINE AND FOUND THERE IS NO NEED FOR SURGERY THEY JUST INSERT IT BACK IN.PEOPLE LIVE WITH THIS PROBLEM ALOT AND THERE ACTIVE.ITS JUST LIKE A CAFFETER. ASKED DR. HE SAID HE DID NOT KNOW ANY THING ABOUT IT. MOTHER ALSO HAD A GAL. HOSPICE OR GAL NEVER TOLD FAMILY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED. IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE YOU MIGHT CONSIDER SOME OTHER WAY TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR LOVED ONE. THE GAL KNEW THAT SHE WAS ABLE TO GO SOMEWHERE ESLE BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT A CANIDATE FOR HOSPICE ANY MORE. BUT CHARGED 200.00 A NIGHT TO STAY THERE. IT TURNED OUT TO COST 8000.00 DOLLARS FOR HER TO DIE THERE. SO CONSIDER ANYTHING BEORE THIS.

Hospice of Upstate comes in three times a week for my dad's care. They have aides that comes out that helps with the bath and making his beds clean. They provide the equipment that he needs for his cancer. You don’t have to worry about anything.

Do not use this Hospice. They said they would keep in contact with the Family after my mother passed away a month ago, I haven't heard from anyone yet other than to tell me that my Mom was taken off of Hospice prior to her dying. One person even told me that they never had a patient by my mothers name. So I said, "How do you take a patient off of Hospice when you claim them to be in a "End of life" state?" When I noticed some things wrong with my mothers death certificate, I tried to contact the Dr who signed her death certificate and the Dr's nurse told my that they had never heard of a patient by my mothers name. I said, "So how does a Dr who has never heard of my mother before, sign her death certificate and write her medications?" It's a real big mess!!!! Would not recommend this hospice to anyone. I have left dozens of messages for someone from corporate to call me back and yep, you guessed it, no phone calls yet. Don't expect any either.
