I am so grateful for Home Instead of State College, PA. A companion spends time with my sister twice a week doing various activities and helping with appointments and shopping needs. We have had the same wonderful person for about 10 years. Although my sister is in an Assisted Living home, the companionship provides something extra special for my sister's life and well being.

Home Instead was able to provide excellent, full-time night care on short notice for my elderly mother. The providers treated her as a person, not just an elderly patient. They were compassionate, caring and fun to be with.

Home Instead has been a lifesaver. I only wish I had realized earlier that I needed help in caring for my LO with Alzheimer's. In addition to bathing, shampooing, feeding, and be a companion to my spouse, XXXXX, our caregiver gives me the opportunity to have six hours of personal time each week. XXXXX has always been on time, is professional, pleasant, and humorous. My spouse and XXXXX get along extremely well and seem to enjoy each other's company. I heartily recommend Home Instead Senior Care.

My father is in assisted living with Alzheimer's. We have a Home Instead caregiver visit him twice a week to provide companionship and keep him active socially. The Home Instead companion that visits regularly with my father has impacted his life in a very positive way. He has become a true friend and obviously cares deeply about making his visits stimulating and interesting for my father. It feels like the Home Instead companion has become like a member of the family and we know that our father is enjoying and benefiting from the relationship.

My father is a resident in the memory care unit of a senior living facility. I was interested in finding him some companionship to supplement the time I am able to spend with him and contacted Home Instead Senior Care. I have been extremely pleased with the service they have provided. They are very organized and have done a great job of keeping me informed about changes to the visit schedule. They listened to my feedback about the care givers and made adjustments that resulted in assigning a fantastic companion for my dad who is very kind and shares many common interests. He takes my dad on short trips to local attractions, to ball games, to get ice cream, plays catch and pool with him and has become a true friend. My dad’s quality of life has definitely improved since we started the twice weekly visits with Home Instead. There seems to be a genuine interest in my dad and his well-being from everyone we have met from Home Instead. I recommend them highly, whether you need support in the home, or to supplement the care from a senior living facility.

I've been very pleased with Home Instead of State College. The transition from a rehab center to home caregiver was seamless. My husband and I both love our caregiver. She has been very well trained. When I need a sub, the office has always found one and I've always been happy with the choice.

We hired people from Home Instead Senior Care for the last two weeks before my father died. They found someone very fast and very efficiently. The agency helped a lot and the caregivers helped until the very end.
