We have been very pleased with the home services received. My 93 year old aunt enjoys the company provided. They prepare lunch and dinner, dispense her medications, do some light cleaning, and keep her company. The caregivers have been kind and thoughtful. The services have provided relief since the family knows she is not alone all day long.

They provide adl assistance for my father and general home help for my mother. Jen is amazing, my parents love her. All staff are background checked and drug screened. This provides a reassurance that all staff are of the highest quality. My father is doing better than he has in a long time. Besides the care, the companionship that she gives is also a great boost to their day. I would highly recommend their service.

I recently returned with Home Instead services and they have helped me immensely with my adjustment to my surroundings. Jenifer is always on time and is always up for any challenges I may give her. Caregivers take care of my father 6 days a week, for about 6 hours a day, for 4+ years now, after he suffered a stroke. They are always on time. Our main caregiver, 5 days a week for years now, has been fantastic. She takes great care of him and we get along well with her. Our Saturday caregivers changed often over the years, the one we have now, we are very pleased with. The agency is very good to work with, when we need to call and change my dad's schedule. My only issue would be the caregiver turnover, which I realize is a problem throughout the industry. This caused us problems on weekends, because my father needs consistency, he doesn't adapt well to constant changes.

My mom broker her leg a few months back. She is 80 years old and the journey to recovery took a little longer given her age. The services and care provided by Home Instead were instrumental in getting her back home, in her own house where she is comfortable. She has two dedicated care providers that come Monday through Friday for four hours a day. They help her in the mornings and prepare a light lunch before they leave for the day. Over the course of the time we have been using the service, my mothers level of care has changed from needing more hands on help, assisting with dressing and toileting to having help with light housekeeping, meal prep and companionship, etc. Home Instead is providing a valuable service and has been a blessing to my mom and our family. I trust them with her care and both of the caregivers have been wonderful. Most importantly, my mother is happy with the level of service and care she receives If you are looking for a reliable care company for yourself or a loved one, I would highly recommend Home Instead. My Mother's Care is going on 6 months. In the beginning she needed help bathing, dressing, making meals and having safety supervision. As time went on and her conditions improved the services changed as well. Aides started to take her for guided walks more, helped less but stood nearby for bathing and dressing so she also felt more independent. Helped with laundry and basis cooking tasks, which grew into running my mother on errands to date. When we had issues with any caregiver it was handled quickly and professionally. Also, when last minute changes to a schedule for help happened, they tried to fill the position as soon as possible. With the aides my mom liked the most they tried to have them come on a regular basis if it was possible. They have helped us through a trying time so that we did not get burnt out taking care of my mother.

My husband has mild age-related dementia and he relates well to the conversations with the staff as well to card games which he especially enjoys. They are always on time or I am notified if there is any delay. We never had a caregiver before and had our reservations. Our initial caregiver, Valerie, is still with us has been a god's send. She went and stayed with my mom during her hospital stay, her Rehab stay and her short nursing home stay. She not only knows my moms good and bad days but knows everything that has transpired along the way. There are not enough kind words to describe this women and how much she means to my mom and our family. We asked with a few weeks notice to extend the hours with my mom and they have been working diligently to try and fill these shifts. I was unsure if they would be able to find caregivers that matched with my mother. How fortunate we found Bill first who just fit right in and went with the flow then Victoria directly after that. The caregivers are on time, communicate with each other and have open communication with myself and my sister. My mother can be difficult but these individuals are caring, understanding and push her when she needs a push. We were scared about the idea of having strangers in my mothers house and caring for her. I feel Home Instead did their due diligence to ensure we had compatible and trustworthy individuals caring for mom.

I have Annie come twice a week to be a companion for my husband who has ALS. She is always on time. She is always friendly and chats with Joe and they watch a movie together. I am able to get my errands done and even managed to get a massage! I don’t need to worry because he is not alone. I am very happy with Home Instead. We felt right about this agency from Day 1, when the owner visited his home to make her pitch. The comprehensive explanation of the agency’s terms of service was clear and thorough, but it was the gentle warmth framing her professionalism that left us feeling unquestionably secure in trusting Home Instead with his care. Cheerful warmth and personal client focus are the essence of the agency’s culture. Caregivers perform a few light housekeeping tasks as needed such as vacuuming carpets, mopping the kitchen floor, wiping down the bathroom. But by far the most important service they provide for my father-in-law specifically is companionship. At 96 years young, he sometimes gets confused, forgetful, and anxious. Because of impaired mobility coupled with pandemic restrictions, he doesn’t get out much. A few hours of social interaction go a long way toward restoring positive emotions and thus supporting his general health. The agency puts considerable thought into matching caregivers with clients; as a result, he considers many of his aids to be his friends. My dad is in a wheelchair & house bound. Home Instead paired us up with very capable & caring aids, that both parents feel comfortable with. Them feeling that way, comes as a relief to me, as I work long days. Several reasons I like them. They call if a Aid is unable to make their shift. (last place did not do that) and will get a replacement if needed. If Aid is not there on time they call to see why. (last place left us hanging) Aid goes to Drs. appt. with my father and asks questions on his care, and relays info to me. Any issues that we have are talked about & handled quickly. Every couple of weeks we have a nice gal from the office that pays a visit to see how things are going and check paper work. This is the agency that has been able to make things work for me and my mother when other outfits had given up or were unwilling to try. I'm out of state, and Mom can be a difficult client. Home Instead gives their care workers (who are their employees, rather than counting as independent contractors) a foundation of strong, consistent training. This allowed some of them to become accepted by Mom to a wonderful degree, and thus has made it possible for her to keep living in her own home after a hospitalization and nursing home stay last year.
