It was better before they cut his hours. Now nothing is getting done. It was a lot more convenient when he had more hours. Twelve is not enough hours. I like that they can do a lot of different things. They can do dishes and laundry as well as helping him move around and cleaning him up. It is nice that I do not have to do a lot of these tasks anymore. Before we had care, I was the one doing everything.

They help the most by writing everything down, as my worker has a book, and she writes down everything I ask her to write down. I would recommend them because so far everything has gone without a hitch and my biggest concern is the pay date.

I'm lucky to get even half of the hours I'm scheduled, and I'd really like them to follow the list they have of the things I need done while they are here. They need to hire better employees and have better management in general. I had one good caregiver, so not sure if most of the caregivers are bad or just the ones they send me usually, but it's hard to recommend them.

We have selected in-home care, the New Horizons In-Home Care - Florence, OR. The experience is positive. I have a very caring young woman who comes in. She's very good. In general, they help around the home. They are helping us both. They do some cleaning up and they run errands. My husband doesn't need a lot of difficult assistance, just having them here to help out with things. Right now, we just need them probably once a month. As time goes on, we'll need them more, but right now, we're just trying things out and see how we do. I would say it was positive. The coordinator came out and spent time with us going over our needs and explaining everything they could do. I had to call her to change the time on something, and she was immediately responsive and answered the phone, and she did that, she changed everything as I needed it. It's very positive. They're very good. I would recommend them. They'll supply more and more care and what I need. They're very flexible, they work with you and they're very caring.
