One nurse kept me waiting until 4 o'clock in the afternoon until she would text me to tell me she was going to switch the day she was coming. I had two nurses and the second one never stuck to her schedule. She did not let me know when she was coming or wasn't coming.

It wasn't perfect, but it was close. The most required thing was to lift my wife to the chair, toilet, or car. They were able to provide the physical part. I liked one gentleman in particular. He really made sure that we were happy. When the girl couldn't come, he came here. He was here all night long because the girl couldn't come. I was really impressed with that. He was really dedicated.

I have a port, and the caregiver could not access that correctly, and she bruised me. I did not like anything about her. She made a mess of my house. I would have liked them to send a different caregiver because I did not care for mine at all.

It's a new company, and I thought they needed to be a little bit older. They were very nice and very helpful, and I trusted them. They would come in and help me get him out of bed. They did a lot of things I didn't feel like I was strong enough to do. They were also funny and light, and they had great personalities. They sent very interesting people.

What they had to offer me was very relevant. Especially the speech therapist. They put me on a pap tube because they were afraid I was going to choke. The swallowing specialist had all kinds of exercises and was very supportive. He was providing useful information as far as swallowing is concerned. The professionals at the hospital, they may have been aware of that information, but didn't share it with me. All three people I had caring for me were, as people, open, caring, and compassionate people. They had to be professional in the health care industry also. If the three are any metaphor for the company, they are running a very tight ship. I believe the occupational therapist was a musician and he gave me some exercises and information about practice. I play organ in the church and that is the main source of my income. I wasn't having any particular problems but she offered some things which greatly made me stronger in that area.

BrightStar Care has given me a nurse who is compassionate, professional, and good company. I am receiving infusion therapy and the saving grace is that the nurse is so good.
